I do not like this watercolor paper. The paper I received is like splotchy in that parts of the paper won’t take the paint. In the photo I am using quality Holbein paint.

If you are looking for inexpensive paper I like the Canson 30 sheet pad better and like Bienfang brand best so far. I will use this up but next I’m trying out Fabriano Artistico and Arches which are supposed to be really great watercolor paper, though more expensive, but worth it.

The product is not glue-bound and is loose paper. Packaging was thinly plastic wrapped. Paper quality is good but quite expensive in comparison to Canson watercolor paper. I recommend going to a local art store if possible to see what your are actually getting vs the misinformation on amazons site. Product ordered from amazon.

I’m not happy with this at all. It almost seems like a fake product. The water separates on the paper, it warps like heck, and the watercolors can’t be lifted… I would really like my money back. The cover of the of the product is glossy, whereas, the original one I got at Blick’s has a watercolor paper texture. The paper itself is smooth and barely has texture to it. The original has a rough texture and doesn’t warp nearly as terribly. Honestly, I think this thing is fake

This watercolor paper is really terrible. It does not absorb pigment and in fact, almost resists it. It will therefore not allow techniques like the use of salt, and it is very difficult to get a good wash of color, or value. Do no waste your money on this particular pack of paper. I will NEVER order it again.

DON’T BUY. There are splotchy sections of the paper that don’t absorb water or paint. It’s as if there is a wax-like residue that blocks the watercolor from absorbing. It’s extremely frustrating because you can’t see these spots on the paper until you begin painting and then it ruins the shape you’re making. I tried painting a second sheet of this paper just in case the first sheet was faulty, but unfortunately the next sheet had the same problems. All the time and effort I put into drawing an outline was wasted once I put paint down. The watercolors moved on their own because of the waxy splotches hidden on the page. This paper also starts warping and buckling with the smallest amount of water.

I used a third sheet and painted rectangles over the entire sheet of paper. About 1/4 of my rectangles are not the shape I painted because of this poor paper quality. I included pictures to show examples.

I’ve heard Strathmore usually makes quality products, specifically watercolor paper, but this is awful. It makes me wonder if this is a scam. This paper is extremely poor quality. I will be spending a little extra $$$ to get quality Arches watercolor paper.

It’s Strathmore. It’s superb! That is all 😊

I use this for testing mixed colors, and for practice pieces. The texture is better on one side than the other, but since I’m not using it for finished pieces, that’s not a big deal. This is not 100% cotton. Haven’t used it to scrub or re-work dried paint, so can’t comment on that. When using on smaller practice pieces, takes a good amount of water fairly well without warping or buckling, but I wouldn’t flood the paper with water, either. Great value for what I use it for, and not feel like I’m ‘wasting’ money on high-priced paper just to test colors.

Merece CERO estrellas. Definitivamente no volvere a comprar este producto.

I am not sure what’s up with this paper… almost every sheet has some kind of invisible something on it that keeps the paper from taking the color, it causes paint to bead up and resist the color. I even tried the back of the paper just in case there was something I was missing. Disappointing because I actually like the 400 series papers and remarkably – the Vision water color pads (which are practice paper and way better than this 300 series stuff)… Unfortunately I didn’t find this out until too late and ran out of time to return. So I am just using this paper for color swatches or doing sketches so I don’t waste my good paper.

This is definitely a knockoff. It’s not 300lb paper, and it’s not even Strathmore. The paper comes loose, not in a pad as it’s supposed to. The paper is flimsy and warps immediately as soon as you put water on it, It’s useless as watercolor paper and absolutely ridiculous. Please save your money and go to your local art supply store or order from a verified source. I’ve learned from my mistake.
