Heavy dutyLove this – looks great and is heavy duty. We installed an extra beam to ensure it would hold the weight.

A very nice pot rackThis is a very nice pot rack. We purchased this rack as an upgrade for our kitchen to help organize some new cookware items we have been slowly purchasing. The item is sturdy, well built, heavy, and it assembles relatively quickly with the included instructions using a minimum of tools (flathead screwdriver and adjustable wrench). It includes everything you need to hang the rack from your ceiling, including two large ceiling screw hooks. The product description has the overall dimensions of the rack, and when hung from our ceiling, the bottom of the rack was just shy of 25″ down from our ceiling. The holes for the hanging hooks on the top rail of the rack are spaced 16″ apart, so due to the weight of the rack, you will need to ensure that you either have ceiling joists in your kitchen 16″ on center, or you can alternatively mount a hanging rail board on top of the drywall between your joists that would be centered over your kitchen island. A quick installation tip: drill pilot holes for the screw hooks using a 5/16″ drill bit and put a small amount of liquid soap on the screw threads or scrape the screw threads on a bar of soap. These tips will make the screw hook install go much easier. You also may want to use a rag and a pair of channellock pliers to help turn the screw hooks into their final positions so as to not mar the finish of the hooks. Overall the install was very straightforward and an easy project to really give your kitchen a nice upgraded custom look at an affordable price. I have included a photo with my review so you can see how it looks in a modern kitchen.

Holds a lotI looked over a lot of these and this one was the best price that could hold a good amount of weight. My ceiling in the kitchen is low being a really older home so hubby adjusted how he hung it so it didn’t hang too low so a pan didn’t knock you out using the island.

You can hang this w/o studs or joistsI bought this to hang over my island. Well the studs and joists were off and I am too OCD to allow myself to hang it off center. My attic did not allow access to the kitchen ceiling so I could not install more support. Nor was I going to rip down the entire ceiling to add support and add new drywall. So I went to Crate and Barrel and saw the real Enclume pot rack and saw that it could be hung where joists/studs weren’t present. I called Enclume and found out they use Toggler Snap Toggles. So I ordered the Snap Toggle kit from them and then bought oiled bronze spray paint to match this pot rack. The Toggler Snap Toggles are rated to close to 300 lbs on 5/8th dry wall IIRC and with 2, that’s 600 lbs. The snap toggles are so big, you will need a 3/4” drill bit to install them.Anyhow, the Snap Toggles from Enclume plus this pot rack works out great. Too bad this kit doesn’t have them too. The reason you need to order from Enclume is b/c I could not find hooks that matched the machined threads of the Snap Toggles. If you can, you’ll prob save some more money too. The kit from Enclume was $25 shipped I think and the 3/4” drill bit I needed was $20 itself from Lowes.

Love thisGreat pot rack. Very heavy and well built. My only complaint is the hooks for hanging down. I didn’t want to use the extension hooks but the hooks that go into the ceiling don’t fit in the holes on the rack. I found a work around but still hangs lower than i would like. Other than that this is a great find and I love how it looks!
