Espresso Machine MustI use these for the water tank on my Breville Barista Express and have had zero issues. Easy to install, just have to remember to set a reminder for replacement!

You get what you pay forBut it as a cheaper alternative to the original Breville filters, but got kind of disappointed… they are half full in comparison to the Breville ones, they are squishy while the original is firm. Just out of curiosity I cut open my old original and found out that the feeling is very similar (looks like brown sugar).I have a feeling that these won’t do as good of a job filtering the water in comparison to the original, since water can easily flow through it. I use only filtered Brita water so I don’t worry that much that there will be any damage to the machine… just disappointed with these filters.

Clear and CleanThese are the filters I have used for several years to clean the water in my espresso machine. They are easy to use and seem to work well. This is my third order for these filters!

Too strongI really liked these, bought them a few times, and gave them a great review. Then I noticed that my Breville machine was not working correctly… It just wouldn’t make a draw. While cleaning it and investigating all sorts of options, I noticed that the machine worked fine when I removed the filter but stopped working when I put it back. I thought, well, maybe it’s just the filter so I went through several to see if that was the problem. No go. The remainder of the box I had and the new box I bought were just too strong — too much filtering which starved my espresso machine of water. I’ve given up on these. It’s a great idea, filtering out the mineral content of the water. Just a bad idea to put that in line with the filter. I am using up my old filters by dropping them in the tank on the hope they will pull some of the mineral content out of the water.

I’m picky! They are just fine. Read all the reviews. Just follow directions to soak & rinse well before using.

Right filter for Espresso machinesThe water filter fits the Breville Barrista Espresso machine and a lot cheaper if ordered through the manufacturer. We use filtered water at the house so resin type is preferred over charcoal filters. It came in a package with each individual filter in a sealed plastic bag. Quite happy with the product.

Filter is too small! Not likely to function as well as the original! Its size is probably 70% of the original. It fits the water hole so it will filter. But it is not going to filter as well as the original.

Good Value Substitute For Overpriced ItemThe price for “official” Breville filters is ridiculous; I simply refuse to let companies rip me off like that. I have used 2 from the multipack I purchased, still have several remaining, & will purchase again when these run out. I simply followed the included instructions & these fit my Breville machine exactly as the one included when I purchased it. I had none of the problems/complaints some of the negative reviews mentioned; I was a bit concerned but ordered anyway as the price difference was substantial. Glad I did; saved a LOT & coffee tastes great. I have exceptionally hard water & so must replace filters often – so happy I found a reasonably priced alternative to the over-priced OEM product.
