I didn’t realize that each pack has 2 filters, so one order has 4.Better value than I thought when I ordered.

Quality filtersLike this brand of coffee filter.

Convenient to buy from AmazonI would need to go to a specialty store for my Toddy filters. They are a fair price too. I do not buy knock off filters for my cold press coffee maker.

more and more fiber piecesNot as good as they used to be. Not sure what they are using different today as they did a few years ago, but there are fiber pieces (hair like particles) on both sides. I buy these to filter my coffee, I don’t want those particles in my coffee. Will look to something else

Quality filterPurchased the actual Toddy filter this time. I should no better to purchase something else. The filter is much more dense.

Fine if you’re not pickyOne of the two filters developed a tiny hole. It’s stained black by the sediment passing through it. It’s fine if you’re not picky about a small amount of fine sludge like a French press would have, but I am. It isn’t the quality I expected from Toddy so I’m a little disappointed. Otherwise they work fine.

I’ve been using a Toddy maker for 30+ yearsI’ve ordered Toddy filters a lot over that time, I’ve also ordered knock-off filters during that time. The original Toddy filter mostly fit better, however I haven’t ever gotten really lousy knock-off filters either, although the knock-offs are usually thinner. I also don’t refrigerate my Toddy filters… they get rinsed out and occasionally boiled (when the flow gets real slow) then dried out and put in the closet, and moistened again before use. It’s a great product, but there are alternatives out there that work just as well is what I’ve found over the last 30+ years.

Cold Brew RocksIf you like coffee, you owe it to yourself to try cold brew sometime. I find it has all of the good flavor that your beans can provide, but very little bitterness. My wife drinks it cold with milk and sugar, kind of a Starbucks concoction. But I microwave mine a cup at a time and drink it black. It’s good both ways really. Anyway, these filters work fine with the Toddy cold brew system I’ve had for years.Just a hint – after I make a batch of brew, I rinse the filter and store it in the veggie drawer of my fridge (which doesn’t get too much other use if you know what I mean). Then when I’m ready to make the next batch, I microwave it for a minute in a bowl of water. I figure this combination of actions will limit bacterial growth on the filter, which is good for food safety and also taste. I use a filter many times, until it starts looking bad. They’re a bit like a men’s disposable razor in that nobody in the business will tell you how long you should expect one to last, the consumer just figures out what they think works.
