My only dislike is the products name displayed but it’s just a preference overall it’s very well made and it helps a lot with my espresso it’s very heavy and is an amazing tool. I also found this to be the most affordable price for one of these and I’m glad I picked this one because it does the job !

To be honest I’ve never used a leveler/tamp combo device before and it was for this reason that I decided to go with one of the less expensive models and see if leveling the grounds would help me make a better espresso shot.
The first thing I noticed what how heavy this thing is. You definitely don’t want to drop this on your toe, seriously! It’s a couple of ounces shy of 1 pound. The steel/aluminum construction and the excellent fitment of the parts show that some quality engineering went into the design of this product. I opted for the 58mm model and works perfectly with my Cyetus Espresso machines portafilter.
Adjustment is simple enough. You just twist the center piece to unlock the leveler and tamp and then turn the lever and the tamp to adjust the depth. Then just tighten the center back down to lock them into place. Getting the right depth is the key to making this tool function and it took me a few tries to get the proper settings. The only time you will need need to change this is if you are making adjustments to the grind and quantity of the coffee. I found that using the standard tamp that came with my machine more useful while trying to dial-in the right setting on my grinder. And once that’s set, go back to the leveler and make the appropriate settings there.
After I got everything set to the way I want, the leveler and tamp worked perfectly. The goal of course is getting a consistently good shot of espresso. Tamping consistently to the proper pressure and depth is really the function of this tool and eliminates any question of tamping too lightly or too harshly for this bipolar barista.

I’ve been using this for a couple weeks now and it has totally improved my espresso game.
In combination with a WDT, I’ve been getting great results with my espresso maker (Breville Bambino) with minimal channeling (where the espresso sprays out of the filter with a naked basket).
The leveler helps create a smooth flat even surface to minimizing channeling during the extraction process. Also having a tamp on the other side is super convenient. I’ve been able to get much better results with a bottomless filter to really dial in the extraction time.
The tamp and distributor is also very easy to adjust for the height of you basket.
Overall the build quality and price is well worth it!

This works pretty well. The only issue I have is that you cant adjust the leveler end in far enough. You have to be VERY careful when you fill the portafilter to not get too much in or you will have a mess (I would guess this is a problem with all of them, not this particular one). Other than that, it all works great! Definitely well made and sturdy.

Perfectly levels and tamps the espresso grounds. Just don’t recommend dropping on your toes. It’s heavier than it looks.
