Sometimes works. Sometimes Not.I use this for my super-automatic coffee maker and sometimes the filter will screw in and sometimes it will not and floats up each time there is water in the tank. Pretty annoying and it does not provide the protection that I paid for. But when it works, it is fine. When it does not work, it is useless.

Great tasting coffeeI will start by saying that I bought this for my Saeco Vienna plus. This filter is not designed to fit the Vienna plus and this is listed in the description. This was an accident on my part as I forgot which machine I had (this filter will fit in the water tank for the Vienna Plus, however you can no longer then put the lid on.)That being said, it does fit perfectly into the outlet for the tank and does produce a nice tasting cup of coffee. I liked the flavor of my espresso better with the filter in place, but eventually the open water tank got to me and I removed the filter. If I had a machine that this was designed for, I’d probably buy it, especially as it has intensity settings based on how hard your water is which would prolong it’s life for those with softer water. So, It

Fit’s Gaggia Anima (Saeco Incanto)The reviews are confusing so hopefully this clears it up. This filter fits the Gaggia Anima, see picture attached. The Saeco Incanto is the same machine with the Saeco name. Note the picture of the box I’ve uploaded, it lists the Incanto. Hope this helps. As per instructions I soaked the filter in water upside down, lightly squeezed it until the bubbles stopped and ran a half liter of water (2 cups) through the machine. It seems to be working fine. I have no worries this is the correct filter with the Saeco name and made by Mavea Intenza. It is supposed to last 5,000 cups and prevent scaling in the machine. The price was right. 🙂

Nice if you need them, but otherwise increases that cost/cup.These filters are quite expensive and add to the overall cost/cup. If your water is good quality out of the tap, skip these. If you have hard water these will prolong the life a little bit. Does my coffee taste magically different using filters vs not; no.Doing the math, if you change this filter every month, or ~300 drinks (in an office), it adds $0.05 to a $0.30 cup of coffee, which is significant..We actually run our espresso machine water through a Brita pitcher first, so we don’t have to change these as often.

Even if Phillips Saeco doesn’t get you on the up front pricethey get you with everything little thing that you have to order to keep this machine running. $15 for a filter seems a bit excessive to me and they don’t even provide a single water testing strip with it. I don’t know where to buy the water test strips and, I mean, how much could it possible cost Phillips Saeco to include one with the filter. Well, my husband and I bought the machine, and we really enjoy the coffee it makes, so we just have to put up with the very tedious maintenance as well as the cost of the filter, the calc cleaner, etc.

Decent Little FilterFits the machine and just about forget it’s even there…until it’s time to replace it. Just wish there was a subscription option or a discounted 2 pack or something to lower the cost of the filter since it lasts us typically 2-3 months/filter.
