Update: almost 5 months later it’s still making great tasting coffee and I finally used the CLEAN function at least once every week since a month ago. Just added a bit of vinegar with the water and it self cleans under the Full Carafe setting. Nice functionality. We’ve since cut down on the number of scoops now that we’re doing individual cups. I like mine stronger vs my husband’s so it adheres to our liking which makes this machine still great and now I’ve given it 5 stars. Good investment for coffee lovers.
Old review: So it’s been about 7 weeks since I bought this coffee dripper and I have to say it’s been money well spent so far. This is an upgrade from a regular brewer (made 12 cups) that we had to buy paper filters for and it was a cheap one from the store that we had for almost 12 years and used almost every day until it brewed its very last pot and we sadly had to find a replacement…Now that I have digressed, here is a list of pros and cons I have on this product:
Pros:
1. Is a coffee dripper (multiple droplets of the coffee into the pitcher). Coffee has better flavor and is stronger vs your average coffee brewer (single drip through filter)
2. Has its own reusable filter (for which I love!)
3. Has a FROTHER! (Selling point for us! Detachable and washable)
4. Comes with a measuring spoon (also detachable and washable)
5. Has 4 settings: classic, rich, over ice and Specialty (tastes almost like a real espresso)
6. The Delay settings, super easy to use. (Set time for later brewing or next day)
7. Has a clock/time that we can read in the dead of night
8. Tells u when it’s done (beeps) and screen blinks the word END
9. Has a drip stopper so coffee doesn’t leak from the filter when you’re grabbing some before it’s finished brewing
10. Heats for 2 hours when brew setting is on HALF or FULL pitcher (can set for longer or turn on STAY WARM button)
11. Has a CLEAN function that I haven’t used yet but probably should since we use this machine every day!
12. Wait time not long for coffee to start brewing (1 min tops, I think its faster though)
13. Different brewing size settings (cup, xl cup, travel mug, multiple, half pitcher, full pitcher)
14. Simple basic cleaning
Cons:
1. I wish the water tank could hold more water. Only holds the max amount of water for a full pitcher.
2. Uses a lot of coffee grounds (we go through one 12oz pack in a week and half, sometimes only 7 days for 2 people) the measuring spoon calls for 3-4 large scoops for a half pitcher. We’ve found that 3 scoops tastes good to our liking. And 1 scoop is equivalent to 2 tbsps. (There are 2 separate scoop size on each end, small and large)
Overall, if you don’t think you need all these amazing functions, then I suggest a simple brewer will do. But if you want something closer to the same coffee as your local coffee shop, this machine will get you there whenever and however you want.

I bought this coffee maker as an extremely self-serving anniversary present for my husband. Due to the shelter-in-place orders here in Ontario, his morning mocha was becoming hard to aquire. I found this item deeply discounted on the Amazon Warehouse site (it had an open box and was missing the instruction manual), et voila!
I forced him to open it early, we gave it a THOROUGH cleaning (because, pandemic), and haven’t looked back since!
I love the Ninja brand, and I love being able to maintain our concerning level of caffeine consumption (and support our local coffee-houses – most of them deliver fresh-ground beans!!).
Aside from the fact 2020 is a straight dumpster fire of a year, this was a great anniversary.

I’ve been a Keurig user for many years. My daughter drinks fully caffeinated coffee, but I’m a decaf drinker. My husband does caffeine in the morning and decaf at night, so we always thought the Keurig was the only option. Then we had to replace a brewer that expired after many years of daily use, and got a Keurig Supreme. Big mistake. It only lasted 2 months before the pump stopped working. Keurig replaced it, and the same thing happened with that one. This happened 3 more times. After a year of this nonsense, I realized it was time for a change. My daughter’s office has this brewer and she raved about it, so I took a chance on it and am delighted with this brewer! Easy to use, and the flexibility of either brewing a single cup or a pot of coffee is awesome! The flavor is great, and we save money on coffee. No more wasteful K-cups. There is a frother on it, but haven’t tried that yet. I love this machine!

This coffee machine is pretty wonderful except the size settings are quite wonky. Look at my photo. I put a pretty nice sized travel mug on it to brew a travel mug sized cup of coffee. I took my dogs out for a walk and came back to that. Also the plain cup setting is also way too much coffee. A standard cup of coffee should be 6 oz. Nothing more. This stinking machine will fill up a 10 oz cup on the smallest setting leaving you no room for cream or anything. Must be careful when using this. I now only brew a standard cup or I use the carafe. The other settings brew way too much coffee.

I had this 2 years, it was a pain.. .It made good tasting coffee but has several design flaws. The water reservoir sometimes leaks into it’s base, so when you lift the reservoir a flood of water gushes out. Also, there is a plastic bubble at the bottom of the reservoir that is not accessible when you refill it but water flows through, so algae builds up over time. Even cleaning the reservoir with vinegar won’t get rid of it. Also, over time the steam gets more forceful when the water is heated, and if you use fine ground coffee the roof of the heated drip becomes caked with grounds.
The built in frothier was a nice feature, but doesn’t rotate fast enough to make a good froth. The various coffee size settings are nice.

This coffee maker is GREAT and its so easy to use. Plus the gizmo on the left side that folds out for your milk frother is so cool ! Its definitely a coffee maker to LOVE !

Shipping was fast and pricing was a plus. It brews fast and love all the options. The only downfall with coffee maker is I hand wash a lot of my dishes and cannot fit my hand in pot.

The use of this Ninja coffee pot is super easy and it’s well-made, however, do not waste your money getting the THERMAL CARAFE!
IT IS SHOCKING THAT A MANUFACTURER WOULD SHOW A BUYER AT AMAZON THIS PRODUCT AND THE BUYER NOT ASK WHERE IS THE LID FOR THE CARAFE??? What a rip off!! A thermal carafe with no lid!! Who would ever sell something like this? Of course no pictures showing a hole in the center of the carafe can be seen on Amazon. What a joke! Don’t buy the carafe get your own.

This is a versatile machine. I love that you can make several different sizes and strength of coffee. The frothing attachment is the bomb. It’s easy to use and easy to take off to clean. The water reservoir is easy to take off and put on. It make coffee pretty quick. I am very happy with is machine and think you will be too.
