Spectrum Brands Farberware 8-Cup Percolator, Stainless Steel, FCP280, Black
$65
- Note: 1)Too coarse a grind, too little coffee, or insufficiently tamping the grounds before brewing can all lead to inadequate pressure for a proper brew. 2)It is important to note that the amount of espresso extracted will vary depending on the grind size and amount and reprogramming may be needed when the size and amount are adjusted

But no turn-off timer. I had forgotten how much more coffee percolators use. I pull the plug, fill a giant cup, then my thermos. Works for me but it is a coffee-eating machine. All stainless.

These coffee pots are from our parents/ grandparents generation and still they make the best coffee. Yes we have all this new technology that can make a single cup at a time or can pour into a regular cheep coffee pot. But this 1 right here this farberware coffeemaker will last for years. This 1 I actually bought for my grandmother who needed a new 1. The 1 she had prior to this 1 was the exact same and lasted her over 30 years at least. It is very durable and very easy to clean. Yes they cost more money than a regular coffee pot you get at a store or online but those one have to be replaced every few years… Or you get a coffeepot that makes a single cup at a time where people don’t realize when that coffee is going through the cheap plastic lines in the machine to then go out and in the cup that all kinds of bacteria gets in it. Yes you can clean it obviously but even still do you really think it get it all if you use it every day? Not a chance. But now a coffee pot like this is basically what you see in the commercials where you can smell the aroma of the coffee beans itself. Which that’s a fact I’ve noticed over the years from when she has her coffee during the day. Also its only a couple peices that can go in the dishwasher and really get cleaned where you don’t have too worry about bacteria or anything like that. So next time you think about buying a coffee pot I really do recommend this faberware pot. They make smaller 1s and bigger 1 depending on how many cups you want it too make but you should definitely go with this brand. They have a few other older brands 1s like this 1 as well which I can’t tell you how they are but I can tell you most of them are made the same with durable pots and not some cheaply made plastic pot. Now yea you might be reading this review and thinking it’s just a coffee pot but than you start to think about what I said how it will last literally for years and years and you don’t have too worry about bacteria building up in it either. Really think about that because with all the recalls that have been on tv with food lettuce etc that all has too do with bacteria. So now thinking yea 1 less thing too worry about in general by buying a coffee pot like this is actually really worth it and you don’t have too worry about the bottom of the pot getting burnt or anything like that with this and if you buy 1 it will literally be the last coffeemaker that you will ever need to buy… So that’s my review on this and honestly I barley give reviews unless its something that will save people money in the long run and will be better too NOT worry about any other bacteria like with all the recalls either food that’s been going on the news lately…

Seller should not ship this item to Malaysia, it is not compatible with the power source.

Looking for medium size pot, it did the job

Still a fan of the “old” way to make coffee. Just tastes better than drip and the pods.
I wish the old cleaning product Dipit was still available. Used to clean the pot like new. Other means take more effort and don’t work as well. Happy to take suggestions for better ways to clean this type of pot.

To keep from breaking the handle on the top, bend the four prongs on the lid inward a little until the you can more easily remove the top. Don’t do it too much or the lid will not stay on..
Linda Warner –
The lid is not a snug fit and moves around when percolating. The coffee taste is not affected. This is my 2nd pot and the first one had a tight fitting lid. The design is great because you don’t need to purchase filters. It’s easy to clean the stainless steal inserts.

I returned the one I recently bought because I bought a replacement electric cord which got my older coffee pot working again.
