The Sulypo® Portable Coffee Maker 8 is a nice addition to the gear we take when traveling. We have had a portable percolator coffee maker for over 20 years that we have enjoyed using on many trips in the car and motorhome. The Sulypo coffee maker is a good replacement for the worn out unit. It produces delicious coffee and tea.
This coffee maker has a cycle for percolating that can be adjusted for strength of coffee or for making hot tea. We use the machine for both types of drink. We have different standards for strength of brew.
The dimensions for travel are good: 8 1/4 inches tall and 3 3/8 inches in diameter. The control rectangle on the side protrudes ¾ inch.
The unit allows us to make one cup at a time tailored to our tastes. The maximum capacity is 300 ml (10.144 oz), a perfect size for our mugs of coffee or tea. The minimum recommended capacity is 200 ml (6.76 oz). The single button for On/Off, temperature control, percolation time control, and tea brewing is easy to cycle through with LED displays. The unit has an automatic warming cycle and an automatic shut off function. The inner lining is SUS 304 stainless steel.

This little invention is the answer to all of my traveling prayers 🙏…I have used it just a few ti.mes for coffee but can say that it’s powerful, fast, convenient and easy to use. It’s just a mini portable percolator, this is not an espresso machine but it has soooo many settings that you can adjust water/coffee/temperature ratios to make your perfect cup of coffee on the go. I would love to see more of these in the future with bigger volume capacity 😁 just in case you want to share, also a safer more ergonomic lid, it’s a little hard to hold and remove the lid specifically when hot. But overall just great!!! 👍👍

This is a sleek black portable coffee maker. To look at it, it almost looks like a travel mug of sorts, but once you pull the lid off the top, you can see there are high quality stainless steel percolator components inside.
To make coffee with this device (while unplugged):
1) Fill coffee maker with cold water (filtered is always best for coffee).
2) Re-insert percolator components
3) Fill percolator with about 2 scoops of coffee (my personal preference)
4) Replace lid firmly on coffee maker and plug into power.
5) Touch the button on the maker one time to turn on, another time until it displays ’01 coffee’
6) Wait approx 3 minutes, and pour (without removing lid) and enjoy!
Overall: This is a great little coffee maker, it has an attractive/minimalist looking design, it can fit nicely in a backpack or luggage. However, the most important detail is it makes an incredible cup of coffee! This would work well to make a single cup of coffee right at your desk or cubicle. I could see someone who works 3rd shift and maybe doesn’t want to brew a full pot of coffee, you could easily make a single cup of fresh coffee – all you really need is an outlet.
Important note: This unit can not be fully submerged in water, and therefore it is not dishwasher safe! Handwashing is not a problem for me, but that might be a consideration for you (so I’m mentioning it)?

I didn’t use this coffee maker. Therefore, I don’t know if the flavor of the coffee is good. I returned it immediately because it felt cheaply made and the directions for use were unnecessarily complicated. A person could do much better for the $55 plus tax which is charged for this.

This one cup coffee percolator works very well for me! It is small and lightweight. I can easily put it inside a drawer. It is easy to use. The outside of it does get hot when it completes the brewing cycle. So it comes with an orange silicon/rubber ring, which fits around the outside. Because of the ring, I can hold the percolator and avoid touching the hot surface. There is a maximum water line inside the percolator, so make sure not to overfill water. I usually select the “coffee 02” mode, and it takes about 10 minutes to get a cup of coffee. This is not bad because you will get hot coffee with rich flavor. When the brewing cycle is done, the function display shows “— —”. No need to remove the lid. There are two small vents in the lid, and one is slightly bigger than the other. Simply use the slightly bigger vent to pour the coffee directly from the percolator. There are some coffee grounds come with the coffee but it is not a big issue. This product works very well for other purposes, like brewing tea, boiling hot water, or warming milk. Simply select other modes in the function menu.

No coffee brewing method is as good tasting as that brewed by a Percolator. Perfect coffee taste as well as texture.
