Keep the dregs out with a paper filter. This coffee maker works great for a single cup and you won’t have the plastic waste you get from a cartridge type (Kurigj maker. However, there are a few caveats. First, the basket filter provided with the coffee maker is not dense enough to keep out all the dregs. With this filter alone, you will have fine bits of coff grounds in the last gulp. I don’t live that, so I got paper filters that need to be fitted into the basket but make the coffee good to the last drop. Second, I found two minor design flaws that led me to giving only four stars. The first flaw is that the opening at the top does not leave enough room to easily pour th water in. Th first few times I tried, the water went mostly on the counter. After several times with spillage, I finally have it down but it would have been easier with more room. Th other flaw, is that when you open the lid to put in coffee and water, the condensation on the inside of the lid, runs down the back of the the maker onto the counter. This could have been prevented by adding a small piece of plastic along the back of the opening and attaching the hinges to it so the condensation would run into the water well instead of down the back. See the pictures included.

GreatI love this little coffee maker. Water heats up fast and doesn’t take long to brew. I don’t use the tumbler that comes with it. And i can use a larger cup. No complaints about the taste of coffee which is very hot. I use a coffee filter in my basket so i don’t have to wash the coffee grounds out of it every time i use it.

Decent cup of coffeeI agree with other reviews: An easier way to fill the machine & the ability to use other mugs without it splashing everywhere would be great. But for what I needed it for (a quick cup on occasion) it’s perfect. And as I said, it makes a decent cup of coffee v

Finally a great one cup makerThis is an excellent one cup coffeemaker. I have had none of the issues that other reviewers have mentioned.Great price, too. Tried others. This is actually the one.2 things: Do be aware that there is a small hole at the top back of the machine, so don’t overfill.Fill the basket only up to the screen part, roughly two scoops. Make take some trying before you find your preferred amount.Other than that – get it.

Overall 6.5/10– Not the worst but not the greatest6.5/10Pros:It’s compactIt has a reusable filter for coffee grounds (Eco-friendly!)The filter is easy to cleanOne buttonRelatively fast on making coffeeComes with a coffee tumbler thingCoffee tumbler keeps coffee relatively hot for about an hourCons:It can only hold 12oz of water. (be careful how much you put in there or it will leak out from the back)The bottom cup holder is not removableIt does drip after turning it off (don’t really mind as I put a little bowl in the cup holder to catch the drip)If you want to make a cup of coffee measure out the water first and don’t keep it preloaded in thereMaking multiple cups of coffee is kind of a painMakes a scary sound when opening up the to add more water after the first cupThe coffee tumbler thing kind of has a metallic taste to itHave to hold down the start button till it makes heating up soundI can see older people struggling to put water in there as it is kind of hard to see and you can miss easily.I am always in a rush in the morning so I do like how it only takes a couple of mins to make a cup of coffee. It’s a good starter coffee maker for people who have never used one before and/or have limited counter space. Just be careful making more than one cup of coffee. When I made multiple cups of coffee I thought I broke it because the start button was not doing anything. You definitely get what you paid for which is not necessarily a bad thing. Once this breaks down (which it eventually will) ill invest in a better compact coffee maker with more buttons indicating how much coffee I want.

Great coffee maker, could be five stars but…This machine could easily be five stars. It’s definitely a keeper and makes great coffee. As many have said before, the week point is the included coffee travel mug. It’s not a quality mug, the outside is hot to the touch, and it doesn’t keep your coffee hot. It’s also a weird size. The coffee maker is only a few mm from being able to fit a Yeti or other quality travel mug.Even so, it makes great coffee. I use an espresso grind and use one heaping scoopful. I brew in the Krups mug and immediately pour into an other container.

Good simple coffee makerThis coffee maker does the job. Others are complaining that the metal cup it comes with is too hot to touch and drips. They are being very dramatic. The cup is not hot. It is warm to touch. It doesn’t even get as hot as a ceramic coffee mug gets when filled with hot coffee. I used it for milk, no leaking. My only complaint with this coffee maker is this little bit of Dripping that happens after the brewing is done. When the coffee is done, you are instructed to turn the power button off and give it a minute or so to finish dripping. I have left my coffee cup there for more than the minute or so.. but it still leaves a small puddle. I just wipe it away with a damp rag. It’s not a huge deal. It doesn’t splatter all over your countertop or anything crazy. I personally, don’t use the metal cup that it comes with because it is not the amount of ounces that I prefer. I use a 16 oz Wawa cup. It fits perfectly. If you have anything bigger than that, it will not fit. Unless the cop you have is short and wide. I have owned this coffee maker a month or so. I make 2 to 4 cups of coffee a day. It has not broken or acted like it was going to break. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 due to the delay with the dripping. All and all, I like it. I included pics to show u what I am explaining.

Perfect!Large coffee grinds basket with multiple water ports is far more thorough in maximizing the flavor! Easiest one I have ever had in use and clean-up; just clean the basket, that’s it.

Large coffee filter insert! For the price, this is a decent coffee maker. I was looking for space saver with large (to fill to extra strong) reusable coffee filter. Checked both boxes. Water tank only holds 8 oz. For a 16 oz mug water needs to be added again and run through (same grounds). Makes good coffee. I would have spent more $$ for better quality, but could not find one with large filter cup or basket. Most are k-cups.

its fast its hot but messypros its fast, its hot ,its compact, and it makes a good cup of coffee but cons its messy it will drip 2 or three minutes after the coffee is made I use a shot glass to catch the drips , I used to make coffee with and without filter the coffee seams to test better with a filter but but there is always a catch I used the standard k cup type filters the short ones and used 2 heaping measuring coffee spoons of coffee the coffee back up and ran all over the cabinet so I bought the tall filters from Amazon the same thing I had the tall filters anyway so I cut them off so they were just short of the solid peace of the basket where a little bit of the filter part showed this worked with out overflowing but if you want a strong cup of coffee and need more than 2 measuring coffee scoops I guess there about (2 tea spoon this is not the one
