Leaks between the water reservoir & machine. Company replaced machineSeems to be an issue with the seal on the coffee maker where the reservoir joins the machine. I can fill the reservoir & leave it on the counter (even overnight) & it won’t leak. But when I place it on the machine to make coffee water starts coming out the bottom. Mr. Coffee’s response was a form letter about cleaning the coffee maker & checking a hose connection. There is no hose visible on this machine. I believe the seal on the machine where the water tank sits (shown in second photos) is malformed. I will try contacting the company again

Read ALL including troubleshootingA real headache to get set up but really aren’t all makers the same in that regard? Went through all the gyrations, all the while waiting to have a cup of fresh brewed coffee. After brewing a pod just to get some coffee in me, wanted to brew a carafe as I’m an all day coffee drinker. Couldn’t get it to display cups, only ounces. Even though I’m an old lady, I sometimes have that “I don’t need no instructions male attitude” especially about things that seem simple. However, in the troubleshooting section, found why I couldn’t get it to display cups…gotta remove the pod guts. Did that…..success. That does make it somewhat a pain in the butt but guess I’ll get used to it. On another subject…..I may have found the problem with reservoir leakage, though I didn’t have that problem with the one cup I brewed! The seal where the reservoir projection goes into was folded over when I removed the plug. Don’t know if that is the reason many customers were experiencing leaking but it’s worth a look to make sure all or part of the white rubber seal isn’t folded over. Good luck for those having this problem.Hoping this machine will fill the bill for a smaller footprint on my counter as well as multiple brew options. . Am retiring a $200 Cuisinart machine that works just fine but it kind of a space hog.Update 7/11/22: Changed to 4 stars. Wrote original review before checking troubleshooting as to why I coiuldn’t schedule a full pot but forgot to change stars after revising text.

My daily coffee maker- *almost* perfect.Full disclosure, this is my first time buying a “fancy” coffee maker. I’ve always been a fan of the Mr coffee brand because it always seemed reliable and well made compared to other brands. I primarily bought this because I wanted a coffee maker that was space saving but I also wanted a K cup function so I can on occasion have a single cup of coffee. The thermal thing is awesome. Don’t worry about not having a burner, this thing is plenty capable of keeping your coffee warm without giving it a burnt taste. Since there is no burner, the thermal thing keeps my coffee warm. I have it brew at 550am and sometimes don’t get around to having a sip till 7am.One thing I noticed is compared to my cheap mr coffee maker, the coffee in this is higher end model is hotter and tastes fresher. I’ve definitely have noticed a more crisp taste. So why 4 stars and not 5? Because the K cup thing can be a bit messy. It’s definitely not as well refined as a Keurig in terms of an even drip out, the taste is fine, but you’ll notice the coffee doesn’t come out in a straight line like it does in a keurig machine. You can overcome this fault by using a travel mug and a taller coffee cup. If you use a small standard size coffee cup, there will be a tiny amount of splatter on your counter. Not a big deal, but something to note. The other fault, is when it beeps it’s done in the k cup thing, the coffee continues to drip which does not happen at the Keurig machine I use at work.So although the k cup function falls a bit short, if you primarily brew a pot of coffee like I do it won’t be a big deal. I’ve had this for 6 months at the time of writing this and it still works great.

Water LeakPurchased it for it’s versatility & space saving features. Also Mr. Cofee is known for reliability. Unboxed it 2 days ago and did a test run twice and both times experienced leaks at the base of the unit. Wiped it dry with a white paper towel & both times the the paper towel dried clear & no coffee brew color. This tells me that it was leaking from the reservoir & not from the coffee basket. Checked the reservoir for any loose connections and all were snug. Not sure why it’s leaking but will try brewing again for a 3rd time. Maybe 3rd time is a charm. Comments welcome. Please advise. Thanks.

The best we’ve owned period. Better than Keurig and the like. We’ve had Keurig and Ninja. My husband wanted the ability to do 1 cup at a time. Because of that we took a long time searching for the right machine. We almost went back to Keurig. Then this Mr. Coffee dual ability showed up and I could get it “used”. I saved money and satisfied both myself and my husbands wants in a coffee maker. I haven’t had to deal an annoying “clean the machine” alarm or light or whatever. I can purchase any kind of coffee I want and not stick to a specific style. My machine has the metal carafe. At first I bumbed that I couldn’t see the amount left over. Quickly my “feeling’ sinces took over and quick shake and I can accurately guess how much was left. I now love the metal carafe because my 5yo will helpfully grab it and fill my coffee on his particularly “sweet moments”. I didn’t have to worry about him burning himself since the metal is cool to the touch. Nor do I worry as much about him breaking it. He could still do damage but glass adds that eyes wide and quick prayer that he doesn’t drop it when you see he has it to be helpful, unexpectantly. And Amazon was so very quick when my “used model” was missing the added not needed to run filter. I had my filter in 2 days. So I’m a very happy coffee drinker with this model.

Great Machine after Problem correctedThe coffee maker kept showing the “add Water” warning even when full of water. After much frustration, it turned the nozzle feeding the water through the coffee was clogged resulting in the ‘”Add Water” light and spilled water. After cleaning the nozzle and correcting the problem, it’s been working great. We use it mainly for single serve cups but we have used it with insulated carafe. I would recommend setting the cup indicator larger than needed to assure you make enough coffee.

It’s okay.I’d like to mention that if you buy this, leaking from a faulty o ring piece is almost guaranteed. I bought one, it leaked. I returned it for a replacement. It leaked as well. You just have to look at the o ring between the water reservoir and the machine itself. Other than that, it’s an amazing multipurpose product. I use mine everyday.

Good enough for sub $100 coffee makerThis coffee maker started off as a pain. Nowhere in the instructions or the troubleshooting does it say that the coffee maker need to be primed. It was a pain in the butt to force water in to the system to stop that annoying “add water” alarm. Once I got that finished which was accomplished by removing the filter, filling the water reservoir, and putting placing it on and off of the coffee maker repeatedly(probably 10-15 times), the coffee maker began to pump water. Mr Coffee that needs to be addressed and fixed.Lets get in to the actual coffee making process. as a coffee maker making pots of coffee this is one of the best. It’s probably the closes to the coffee house style carafe brewers on the market for the price. It makes a good pot with no grounds in the carafe. The carafe it self in of great quality. It has good seals, and the double wall construction makes for a sturdy quality coffee pot. the push button makes for a drip free experience when pouring your cop of coffee. Now lets get to the pod. It foes the job but first thing in the morning it requires some fine motor skills to get the pod in the basket, and snap it close. and if you are not the first one to the coffee pot your going to have some burnt fingertips making your coffee. This is a much better coffee maker than it is a Keurig. Which you use more often should be the deciding factor to get this. To me the Pod part is a little gimmicky.I took a star away because of the priming factor and the flimsy wonky pod basket that looks like the retaining clip will brake any minute. My suggestion to Mr Coffee is to fix the the way the consumer uses the pod and you have yourself a solid machine. You will then have a solid machine that I would spend $120-150 for. For sub $100 coffee maker it’s good enough though.

A headache after 2 monthsAll the negative reviews are quite right on this one… leaks, delayed brewing, burnt taste, the “brew later” option no longer works/works on time. The water reservoir I think is the biggest headache of all. It either works great or not at all, no in-between. The “brew now” I think is the ONLY great thing about this product, because it brews rather fast at the push of that button. Definitely will be reconsidering by christmas time if it’s worth getting a new/different product.

It’s a bit of a learning curve – but once you have it? Great coffee maker!UPDATE!!!!!I waited to give my review because I really wanted to know I had used it fully and could answer honestly. It’s a smaller footprint than my old Hamilton Beach Flex Brew and makes better coffee. TIP: If you like your coffee even stronger than the strong brew button makes? Use a Columbian blend or dark roast blend. Fill the grounds basket for a 10 cup pot but fill reservoir to only make 8 cups/strong. That will give you that stout cup of Joe. I love the steel carafe that keeps it drinkably warm without getting that burnt stale taste from sitting on burner plate all morning. TIP: To make your carafe keep warmer do as you do with all thermos/ carafes – the night before? Or a couple of hours before? Fill with your hottest tap water and close. It will – the thermal and your coffee will stay hot all day! Empty it out just before you make your coffee. If you are using the single k-cup style? Use the strong setting or the coffee will be weak. These are all the pros. The only con is the water filter in the reservoir… most of us already have water filters (either on our cold water from our refrigerators or from our taps) However..twice filtered water is not really that. bad now is it? All in all ? I LOVE this coffee maker and feel it makes great coffee and offers flexibility and is therefore a great buy.Had to come here and update my review – here I am a more 7 months from purchase and the coffee maker leaks water all over the counter and the carafe leaks and does not keep coffee warm. VERY DISAPPOINTING.CAN NO LONGER RECOMMEND.UPDATE: Contacted Mr.Coffee ..corresponded with a very nice and concerned customer service rep named Rhegie , who listened to my grievances and made it right. So A + Customer service and I really loved this coffee brew system when it worked right have me changing my review back to 5 star.
