Easy to use and makes a great cup. Perfect temperature.I’ve been using this for about three years. I did have a scare that it was burning my coffee, but then found that it was actually just a bad box pods that I received in a pack. Just wanted to note that in case you’re worried your coffee is being burnt. This gives you a very dark cup of espresso. You can hold down the button to make a desired amount, which is very useful. You can also have the machine preset to make a standard cup of espresso or lungo when pressing a button. The espresso comes out less hot than the lungo. The espresso comes out at a perfect temperature where a few quick blows will let you drink it less than a minute after brewing, if you enjoy your coffee very hot. The lungo is far hotter. I have not tried this over ice more than a few times, so I cannot comment on how well iced espresso tastes. The machine is loud and will likely be heard in other rooms. It vibrates strongly when brewing. That is my least favorite part about this product. It is very easy to clean and maintain. I do not use any sort or poor quality water, and use the machine often. I have never, in three years, experienced any sort of gross buildup like in a coffee pod brewer reservoir. If I need to clean the inside, a few runs of hot water and a quick wipe with a paper towel is all I need to do. There’s a compartment at the bottom that catches your empty pod. This needs to be changed when full. I do need to clean and wipe this well routinely, but it is not burdensome. The machine is slim and is easy to fit on a counter. There is really no setup or assembly required. Just plug in.The machine works with pods that are not Nespresso brand (I personally use Peet’s). Nespresso pods are quite expensive. It does come with a sample pack of them. They are very good, but just too expensive if you drink a lot or coffee.I bought this on sale on a Black Friday. I think it’s worth the money at full price. I would buy it again if it ever broke.5/5.

Good machine, capsules are steep but if you can swing the expense it makes a nice espresso.A friend made me a coffee and it was fantastic! She said it was Nespresso and I saw the machine. I found it on Amazon for a good price and ordered reusable capsules so I could use my own coffee as I had done with my Keurig. The machine is easy to use, has a smaller footprint and is shorter than my Keurig so it fit nicely on the counter. It is noisy when it brews, noisy like when I use an air compressor to fill my tire! I’m guessing its similar but uses hot water instead of air. It has a receptacle to hold the spent capsules which drop down from inside the machine and a drip tray underneath that to catch water that drips out of the used capsules. If you overfill the water tank it will “pee out” the excess water onto your counter so don’t overfill! It makes a nice espresso for your morning latte and the Nespresso capsules which came with it were a nice sampler however, the Nespresso capsules are expensive, about 70 cents each so the reusable capsules sealed the deal for me buying the machine. But none of them made a good coffee, mostly it was very weak or didn’t seal properly. Now what do I do?Trader Joe’s has capsules but they weren’t good. Target’s Good and Gather brand has capsules and they are better, the vanilla is quite good. I purchased capsules from Bestpresso here on Amazon but haven’t tried them yet. When I do, I’ll post a review there. Back to the Inissia machine. This is the entry level machine and I have learned from Nespresso that the Inissia machine is DISCONTINUED but they will continue to make the capsules. Other machines do take these little thimble capsules and others take half moon shaped capsules. I found out that sneaky Nespresso’s higher level machines have a code reader which will read the code that is found ONLY on Nespresso brand capsules. No code? No brew. So no more refillable capsules or off label capsules if you buy a higher level machine. Personally I think that’s a terrible thing and capsules could increase in price and you are stuck buying them because your expensive machine won’t work without them. Its like buying a copier that only works with brand color cartridges, that’s where they make their money. What a scam. Had this been the case with the Inissia I would have walked because I just don’t need it that badly and would use the old school Moka Pot if I wanted espresso that badly. It seems to be well made and solid. Its heavy and performs well. For $125 I’m keeping it and hoping for the best but I’m not inclined to invest in a higher level Nespresso machine for the afore mentioned reasons. For reference, I’m not a coffee connoisseur but I like more than your average drip coffee. I have a vintage percolator, a Moka Pot (Greca) and I’ve grown tired of weak, meh, artificially flavored k-cups in all sorts of bakery flavors. I prefer Lavazza which seems to be middle of the road.I have discovered that if you buy full fat Oat Milk like Silk or Oatly, fill your cup half way then microwave to heat it, you then make your Nespresso Lungo over it and it makes a very nice creamy latte (I wasn’t looking for nondairy anything, it just happens to be delicious).

So impressed with this machine!I have tried a wide variety of coffee and espresso machines and I must say this little one did not disappoint! I did weeks of research online and really went back and forth between an original line machine and the new virtuo machine. After watching many videos and reading many reviews I settled on the original line machine due to the fact that my main purpose is espresso and it seemed espresso lovers preferred the original line to the new virtuo line for taste. After decided to go with the original line I knew I also wanted the Aerochino frother and those alone are $100.00 MSRP so I set out to find a bundle that included it. I was delighted to find this bundle set at such a great price and decided to try it. The Inissia offered everything I was looking for in an espresso machine. My last espresso machine did not utilize a pod or capsule system and besides being time consuming I found that it was also inconsistent which is why i decided to try another system like this. The machine arrived well packages with clear instructions for use. within minutes of unboxing I made my first drink (pictured here) and it was wonderful! I was thoroughly surprised by the quality and ease of use. once I ran a few cycles of water through to clean everything I filed the water reservoir and attached it to the back of the machine. I turned the machine on to heat up (which takes approx. 60 seconds and is so fast!) I added my milk to the frother and a tiny bit of vanilla syrup to make a sweet foam and set the milk to froth. Frothing also takes about 60 seconds on the heated mode. I added my capsule and selected the smaller size for my espresso shot. It brews as soon as you push the button. I added my frothed milk to my glass and then added my espresso shot. I prefer my drinks to be less sweet so that was it. I did not add any sweeteners of syrups but you certainly could if you wanted. I had read complaints that the espresso is not hot enough for some but I did not find this to be true for me. This machine is a real time saver for me. I can make a whole latte in 5 minutes. I am impressed!

Absolutely amazing!I really researched this brand, and model, before purchasing it. Espresso, with the convenience of a pod system sounded almost too good to be true. Obviously K cup machines are extremely convenient, but the tradeoffs really matter. I won’t bore everyone with the ways I make K cups better, but in short, you lose the convenience. I spent many hours researching the choice. The first decision was Original Line versus Vertuo. While the extra features and technology of Vertuo were attractive, the fact that you cannot try other brands pods, made me go with the Original Line. After tasting the Original Line pods, being captive to Nespresso wouldn’t be that bad, but there are superior alternative brands for Original Line, that not only taste great, they are less expensive. I really preferred the ability to be able to try other brands, so the Original Line was my choice. That said, after trying Nespresso brand Original Line pods, I would not rule out adding a Vertuo at a later time. You might be captive, but they do make great tasting options. This model is an Innesia, although they don’t mention it in the listing. My primary reason for this exact model was the flip up drip tray, which was a great decision. The smaller Original limits the size of your cup, unless you remove the whole drip tray, while this one flips up, and out of your way. The smaller area that catches the used pods was insignificant, as with my Keurig I have to throw out each pod. This catches between 5-7 empty pods, which is fine. The smaller water reservoir was no big deal either, as adding fresh water is better than using it stagnant. If you want the bigger pod catcher, and reservoir, go for a Citiz, or Plus, Original Line.Along with the machine, which does come with samples, I ordered the 50 pod Nespresso variety package. I wanted to give them a chance, before trying other brand pods. I was extremely surprised at the quality of the the espresso. I don’t consider myself a “coffee snob,” but I do know the difference between traditionally made espresso, both real from a coffee shop, or homemade from an actual real stove top espresso pot, or a homemade espresso machine. Is this exactly as good? That is a tough call, but the convenience does not cost you the quality that you lose from K cups. It is extremely close, and just plain espresso, ristretto, and lungo, are all exceptional. Once you decide to add anything, such as milk, flavored syrup, or even sweetener, any difference is completely gone.In summary, I am glad I put the time in deciding, and if you have any hesitation with the Nespresso models, skip it. These machines are really excellent, and the convenience really trumps any possible negatives. Extremely recommended machine, I just wish I tried one sooner. Enjoy!

It may not work all the time.Sometimes it works, and sometimes it does not. I turn it on and it blinks then stops blinking and it is ready to make great espresso. Sometimes I turn it on and just keeps on blinking and it won’t make coffee. So I have to unplug it wait 10 seconds and re plug it and then it works and makes great espresso.

I finally was able to make my dream lattes with this machine!I’m a giant coffee snob. I am sad to say that previously in my life I actually thought that Starbucks was “premium” coffee. In my defense, there was a Starbucks in the building I lived in, a Starbucks connected to my job, and a Starbucks inside of my school, so I was kind of surrounded by Starbucks. However, when you go to an actual good coffee shop (usually local) or start making your espresso or coffee you realize how much money you wasted over the years at Starbucks!I am really picky though. I bought the Starbucks Verismo a few years ago when it was half off at my nearby Starbucks, and I have to say I was unimpressed. If I can’t get my coffee EXACTLY HOW I WANT IT, I won’t make it at home. I had already moved on from Starbucks and was going to really good coffee shops, but I still could not imitate the lattes I was drinking there at home, so I gave up for awhile.Fast forward to last year when I decided to give it another shot. I found this online with the milk frother and the great reviews and purchased it. I am now able to make high quality lattes from home at a MUCH cheaper price. However, it has been a rocky road to get there. There are a few key things to note when trying to duplicate your favorite latte from a coffee shop.#1 – Frother – I did not have a frother for my last machine and have to say it makes a huge difference. For a genuine latte you really need to froth the milk.#2 – Type of Milk – If you want to duplicate the taste of your favorite latte, find out what milk they are using. If you don’t specify a milk at a coffee shop they almost always give you whole. It undoubtedly tastes the best (and is the worst for you). If you are buying 2% and wondering why it doesn’t taste the same, then that’s probably why. Try to ask them what brand they use…you’d be surprised at how many just buy whole milk down the street from the grocery store. However, once I realized how fattening my drinks were I started buying my own unsweetened almond milk. I think it’s a great alternative and with sweeteners in it it tastes delicious! Just experiment.#3 – Types of Syrups – I cannot stress the importance of the syrups that you buy. I figured since I was really in love with mocha and hazelnut lattes that I would just go to the store and get some mocha syrup and hazelnut syrup and it would taste great, right? WRONG! Now, for some people Torani will be fine…but if you are trying to duplicate your local coffee shop, chances are they do not use Torani (Starbucks makes their own syrups FYI, if you want to duplicate them). My local coffee shop uses Monin….when I tried Torani and my latte was disgusting, I ordered syrups from Monin and it made a gigantic difference. They are a little pricey but there is a reason for it. I love their fudge syrup for mochas, and I love to mix that with their Amaretto and Tiramisu. A little goes a long way too. Check out what syrups your local coffee shop is using.Make sure you are using the right pods. It’s kind of confusing with the sampler pack…some of them are decaffeinated, some are coffee pods, so pay attention to what you are using. Amazon has a great deal on Nespresso espresso pods which I always use to stock up!Overall, I am so happy with my espresso machine and use it daily…and practice makes perfect – you can make your own perfect latte at home!

4th ones s charmI have the Breville virtuo. I wanted to stay with the same brand when I purchased the original so I would have both machines. I ordered three previous original Nespresso machines on Amazon from three different sellers all shipped by Amazon. The first one came missing the pods and clearly had been used. The second one came and leaked. The third one came after much delay because according to Amazon customer service they were waiting to receive it from the seller. It came with the vendors box all taped up so I didn’t bother opening it because it clearly was used.Imagine my delight when Amazon delivered this on a Sunday still in the box untouched with plastic around the machine and pods.Even though I did not want to switch brands I finally had to after doing a lot of research what the best model was. I’ve used it twice today perfect both times no leaking. The difference was both the seller and shipped by were both Amazon and not third party. The pods are so much cheaper for this than the virtuo I figure eventually I’ll save enough money to offset the purchase price.Does it Make some noise yes but I know that it’s working. And yesterday I found Starbucks pods in two flavors at Marshalls.I’ll still use my virtuo but only for the coffee size pods and when I want an espresso I will use this machine. It’s actually small enough if I were driving somewhere on a trip I would take it with me a little too large and clunky to take on a flight. Now I just need to buy some cute espresso cups.
