I just bought this kettle so I can’t speak for longevity. This pot is darling! No need to be surprised about it’s size because you know it has only one litre capacity, and the dimensions are given in the product description. We had a 1.7 litre Breville. It was just too big and heavy for me any more, so this little one fits the bill. Noisy? No more than a tea kettle would be when heating up. My Breville was much louder. Bangs and odour emitting from the pot? None! Wobbly? No. For me, it’s the perfect pot. Here are some photos. The first photo with the lid open is the degree it opens when you push the button. The second one with the lid open is after I gently pushed it back, without forcing it.

So easy to use. Should have bought this along time ago! Love it!

I got this for just me making tea. It has held up for several years as the main hot water source for multiple people. It works.

Looked at many electric kettles. This one fit the bill. I was replacing a Sunbeam HotShot which finally died and has been discontinued by manufacturer. This kettle is small (1 liter) and fast. It heated 1 liter in 3 minutes. The bottom of the pot is well insulated. I can remove it from its base and place the kettle on my hand without discomfort. However be careful of the sides and top. They are hot. I chose it because when it reaches boiling temperature, it shuts off. It does not have a “keep warm” feature. That is one of the reasons I chose it. It gets used several times a day to heat water that is needed then and not again for awhile. And I like the small size. It has performed well for the two weeks I have had it. If it continues, it will be money well spent.

I’ve purchased two of these over the years. Great kettle, the oldest one has been around for about 2 years. Works like a charm, heats up quick and gets the job done. Helpful for more than tea and coffee – you can speed up boiling water for pasta etc.

Works like it is supposed toad one of the biggest concerns was pouting the water out – would it leak or dribble like the last model (different product) we had. It worked well and did not dribble or spill when pouring. The only thing I didn’t like was the measurements were in Metric. Hopefully, they will change that in the new models.

There are a few things to know about buying this kettle since I bought this at a cheaper price at the time. Now, this kettle is used frequently with a family of 4. We use it for just boiling water, so if you put tea leaves or coffee into the kettle, please keep that in mind this may not reflect other reviews who do put other things besides water. I do love this kettle and know 2 other people in my life who use this and have never had problems. Keep in mind they also only use this for plain water. We use filtered water so keep in mind what type of water you are using as any stainless steel may be affected by the type of water used and what you put in the water (sugar, leaves, coffee, salt, etc.). I recommend cleaning it well after every use if you put anything other than plain water.
Pros:
– Heats up super quickly. Usually takes a few seconds to boil when the kettle is half full.
– Great for small spaces.
– Lightweight even with the max limit of water inside.
– The orange/red LED light turns off when it is ready.
Cons:
– Be mindful of where you place it as it does get hot and steam will come out. Obviously, just do not touch the steel while it is hot.
– Like all things that come in contact with water, you do have to be mindful of water damage such as rust so using filtered water is best.
Keep in mind that all things may be defective and it happens, but also taking care of it is essential and is what makes it last a long time. It is important to be mindful of anything that produces heat, but this kettle has been reliable and still going strong. So if this kettle is around $20-30, that is seriously worth the price!

Literally, the kettle melted, smoked, set the fire alarm off, made a mess and made the house smell like burned plastic. I think it must have had an anomalous electrical defect, because we were using it properly (had water in it, lid was closed, and the power outlet has never presented problems in the past). We’ll return it right away. I’m guessing we just got unlucky with a defective product.
Prior to that, it seemed like a perfectly good kettle (which is why I still give it 2 stars)! Like others, I dislike the plastic, but it was obv from the image that it would have it and I know that “you get what you pay for” so I wasn’t expecting an all-metal kettle at this good price.

Great product. Heats up water quickly without failure. I have been using this for months and it’s great. No complaints.

Best to wait a few minutes before pouring water in glass containers or can break even thick pitcher I used to make ice tea
