The only other tea maker I’ve ever owned was a very old Mr. Coffee-style tea maker which was very basic. Add water, hit button. That’s it. I’ve been wanting a nicer tea maker for a while so I decided to just go ahead and get one. I did my research and compared quite a few different types. I decided on this one for several reasons- I love the easy to use buttons for temperature control, love being able to use loose leaves in the infuser, and love that I can wash the parts in the dishwasher if I want to. It looks nice and makes great tea! You do have to make at least two cups at a time or the leaves won’t reach the water, but no problem here. I usually make a small pitcher at a time. I like the blue lights and I also like the quiet beep when it’s ready. Boils and brews very quickly! Other people have mentioned that it sits unlevel and rocks. It does, but that’s easily fixed by adjusting the cord underneath until it snaps in place. After that, no rocking at all. Overall, I feel fancy when I use my fancy tea maker! I enjoy being able to go to the local tea shop now to buy all kinds of loose leaf flavors. I’d recommend this!

Lovely kettle for infusing teas and heating water for coffee made with a French press. I did not read the details carefully enough and when the larger type says “Brewing Programs for your favorite types of teas and coffees.” Folks, this does not BREW coffee. It HEATS water for coffee (or anything else for that matter). Only by reading the smaller detailed description do you see this distinction. My bad — I did not. Thought it was a great feature that I could use this to “brew” both coffee and tea. Otherwise, it does what it says with respect to tea. But, I honestly would not have purchased it if I had been more careful and learned that it does not brew coffee.

I bought this to steep my fresh ginger tumeric tea every day. The kettle is nicely made, pours easily and works well. I wish I could control the temp more specifically, but I knew that when buying it. Also, if I could adjust the design I’d make the filter area go lower into the pot so as the water level goes down the good stuff is still submerged. It’s really almost a five stars…

Loved it so much I bought more as gifts. All family members loved this kettle. The internal mesh strainer is amazingly perfect in that no loose tea comes through, but maximum flavor does. It boils intensely fast. The multiple options for temperature are spot on. I am a fan of putting loose tea plus rose buds, or mint, orange rind, etc in the strainer. Creates an amazing experience. The stay warm feature is amazing, as you can choose the temperature you want it to stay warm at! I have to completely disagree with the reviews regarding any rust issues… I was honestly quite concerned before purchasing when I read such reviews, but there were too many fantastic reviews not to try it myself. There is no rust issue whatsoever. Any discoloration on the base is due to the tea color. I have no discoloration at all after weeks of use with green and oolong teas. The first time I made black tea, there was some dark discoloration on the bottom. I simply used dawn soap and a non-abrasive sponge, and it wiped clean. The stainless steel bottom has no wear, scratches, nothing to believe there is any rust issue. If this is the only thing holding you back, buy this kettle! I’ve tried so many in the past, and this is worth every penny! I use this thing all day every day and it really has been amazing.

The kettle works well – the lid is make of plastic and just pulls off but I’m not sure how long it will last. we will have to wait and see.
Out Delivery on the Other hand Was an issue! they guy just dropped it off on top of our mail box and left – Not even on our premises – on the Road! anyone could have take it from there – It just sat on top of the Mail box as it was too big to go inside – Very disappointed!! have not had that happen before with Amazon

This seems to be well built and very easy to use. Put in the water, tea, select temperature, and press start. Come back in 5 to 10 minutes and the tea is ready. Once the kettle reaches the selected temp, it automatically turns off, so you don’t have to worry about it boiling over. And since the heating element is built into the kettle (not the base), it boils fast. Thus, for a full (1 1/2 quart) kettle, maybe 5 minutes to boil and then 5 minutes to steep, and you are done. After steeping, I take out the infuser and throw the tea bags away and rinse. I leave the tea to cool and then put it in a pitcher in the fridge (ice tea). Besides the ability to make fresh tea and control its taste, compared to $3 a gallon from the store, this saves a lot of money and will pay for itself.

Heats fast, bottom seems to stay pretty clean – I rinse it after use. The “lid” design works well. A magnetic outer ring you can easily remove if you want access to the pot. The infuser has a ring around it and a small fold up/down handle so it’s easy to get in and out and – unlike some others – can’t fall completely inside. You also don’t get any steam discomfort – again, like some others.
But it does have a couple of places where it could be improved. The infuser is very short compared to the pot. It does not extend close to the bottom. Not a big problem for me since I tend to brew at least 3 cups at a time, but marginal for two cups. I don’t think all of the tea will get wet other than by osmosis. 1 cup – no way, it’ll get steamed on, but not wet. Again, if you brew 3 or more, seems to work fine.
Problem 2 is there’s no digital display. No time or temperature readout. It has a large base, but just the on/off and preset heat buttons. I bought a cheap kitchen timer to time my brews.
It has small measurement markers in metric, not cups. I used a measuring cup to fill, then just used a Sharpie to put X’s at 3 and 6 cups.
It works for me because I do large brews. But a longer infuser, a time/temp digital readout, and large cup markers on the flask would make this a lot better.

The use directions were not as clear as some, however after a few attempts we learned the secret hand shake and have been in love ever sense.
Temp, warm, power and enjoy your cup of tea!

Love our new tea kettle! We chose it for the glass/ clear carafe so we can see the water level very easily, it’s sleek design, temp and stay warm setting. The stay warm only lasts 15 min at just below boil but honestly the water stays hot long beyond that, and even if you start from scratch it’s less than 2-3 min and it’s ready once again. We absolutely love this kettle! Great buy!
