Ordered the 20 piece set and box arrived undamaged. On one knife, the endcap on the handle was broken off. Contacted the seller via Amazon and the seller IMMEDIATELY shipped a replacement knife. Seller followed up to ensure we received the knife and that it was in good condition.
So far the knives have held up well and have kept their edge. You can tell that the knives are hand crafted as not all handles are exact and are not exactly lined up. (off by .5 degree or less on a couple of knives) None of the blades are bent nor is the block cracked as others have indicated.

This knife is NOT A joke, it’s not an overly light knife, it has some pretty good weight to it.
I love that this comes super sharp, the last thing I love is sharpening knives. Actually, I hate it.
This is also going to be easy to sharpen when I do have too get some oomph on it, bit I don’t see that happening anytime soon.
This is NOT made with cheap metal, but with super solid stainless steel, right down to the hardware in the handle.
Also, I love that this knife comes with its own box, or case. It makes it easier to store the knife away, but it does stay nicely on a magnetic block. Again, because it’s NOT cheap metal, but an awesome stainless steel.
This is what I am grabbing for when I need to cut and or dice meat, which I buy in bulk and unfortunately have to separate myself and bag up to freeze.
The handle is BEAUTIFUL as well!

Let me start by saying, I am NOT a professional chef; I am a passionate home cook who loves to make their own recipes and venture into new cuisines with reckless abandon. Cooking IS my love language. I do not have amazing knife skills, so, I think it would be waste to get super expensive blades, as much as I admire them. A few of my chef friends recommended these knives as their favorite everyday utility knives in their professional kitchens. So, I gave the 8” chef’s knife a try. At first, I was a little put off by the lightness in my hand; but, then I began to realize I was using heavier knives before to compensate for the quality of the knife’s edge. I absolutely love this knife; I love that it has its own guards and a box to protect the blade from damage. I am a huge fan of these knives and have subsequently also bought the 10” chef’s knife because I just prefer the little bit of extra length. Next up: throw away my $hitty steak knives for a new set and obtain the boning knife!! Highly recommend these beauties!

I have been hunting more, and I finally wanted a butcher knife, and I know the Japanese knives are really good, where I found this one, just a beautiful knife and had to give it a try. I was not dissapointed, this one cuts wonderfully, so sharp, and just heavy enough and well balanced too. The wood handle, blade, rivits, all are smooth as can be, just a good quality well made knife. Love the sheith for it, where it is very well made too and a real nice thickness of leather. Blade comes with a protective rubber for it too, very nice, where getting cut by this would be no fun. No cons, works perfectly where I am very happy with the purchase.

I am becoming a real ‘fan boy’ of Imarku products. I mean, just look at how sharp this cleaver is! Really? Right out of the box! This was a gift to my son-in-law, who does a LOT of cooking, grilling and Texas style smoking. I teased him with it for a bit, and just let him drool. When I finally gave it to him, he was like a fat kid in a candy store! This Japanese style cleaver/knife is fantastic. Made in the traditional fashion of folding the steel over and over in the forging process, it is incredibly hard. And, using the single bevel edge that is also a Japanese tradition for the sharpest edge, Imarku has provided a knife to be treasured and cared for. Bernard (my son-in-law) really loves this knife. So much so, that he has taken it to a professional knife sharpener for the final stage in creating that ungodly edge on it that can cut a green coconut in half in mid-air. I’m actually regretting giving this knife to him. I’m jealous now and will have to get another for myself. FIVE RAZOR SHARP STARS!
