very sharp and balanced is greatMy mother got me this knife to go with the other in this brand. I have tried other knives and nothing holds up to this brand. they fit a in the hand good especially if you have longer fingers. This knife will cut the hair off your arm its that sharp. they are also easy to recharpen if need be. I am a chef and I have has my other ones from this brand for 5 yrs now they last a long time

That shape I was looking for.I have a number of knives and while this is by no means my most expensive or fancy knife It has become the one I reach for the most especially for veggies. Its nice and solid and has a good weight for chopping. I like that the the length of the blade isn’t as curved as a classic chef knife but not totally straight like a cleaver. It just feels good to use for fast chopping and mincing since it is more wide and square it slides along the knuckles well and since it’s a bit heavier it feels like it doesn’t take much effort to get quick clean cuts. Nice to find a knife I like so much for this price.

Excellent steak knifeI picked up one of these, along with a blade guard, to toss into my suitcase. Score!FWIW, I travel an obscene amount…and spend WAY too many nights getting orders to go or from room service. (Shudder) To-go orders never come with a decent knife, and room service is rarely better.Enter this knife. It’s a proper FORGED knife…with a great feeling handle. I wanted a non-serrated knife…because a properly cooked steak doesn’t need a serrated knife tearing into it. This one delivers. And at a decent price. It’s much the same length as a utility knife, but with more curve to the blade. I’ve decided to get a few more for when I’m actually home…much better than most “steak” knives, especially those that are generally included in a basic knife set/block. Some have complained that it doesn’t handle being thrown into a dishwasher. Eh, it’s a knife…dishwashers are HARSH environments…simply wash it by hand. It will take but seconds, and will probably last a lifetime or more.

Slice and dice with this super sharp knifeViciously sharp and ergonomic to handle, highly recommend. Easy to clean too with sponge. I recommend, wash and dry after use, you do not want to leave these in the drainer and stab yourself later after personnel experience. Love the knife!

Very nice knife for the priceIt is a nice knife for the price. It has a very stable handle and sharp. I gave it 4 stars because it is quite heavy for the size. It has a nice balance but harder to handle due to weight. If you like a heavier knife it will work. I just prefer thinner Japanese type knives

I like the brandVery good knife. I like the whole set. Recently lost small one so had to buy it separately. I am glad they sell them individually

Wow. Very good qualityIt is very attractive. Feels great in the hand and is extremely sharp. Best knife we ever bought, and we have some cutco knives too. This is better. We’ve already bought a couple other knives that they make

Fantastic knifeI love this knife. It’s well-balanced, slices amazingly, and I really like the material and shape of the handle. The grooves really don’t keep chees, potatoes, cucumbers, etc. from sticking to the blade though, so if I were going to do it over again I’d probably just get the regular 8″ Mercer Genesis knife.

Perfect sizeReally impressed with this knife. Replacing a ceramic knife I was unable to get replaced, and was pleasantly surprised.
