If you already have a drawer or block full of cheap knives, this may feel like an upgrade to you. Just know that there are much better quality options available for around the same price, even here on Amazon. As a chef with almost 40 years experience, I know knives very well and have used knives ranging from cheap garbage to the highest end. This knife feels and sounds cheap. The rivets on the handle are raised (poor construction) and is not particularly comfortable in the hand. I actually liked the feel of the handle in my hand, so the raised rivets were a disappointment. I highly doubt the claims that this Made In China knife is actually German steel. I have little faith in how long it would keep a proper edge and how well it would take to sharpening. The laser etching to make the knife look like Damascus steel is both hideous and ridiculous.
It’s not the worst knife I’ve ever used and may suit your needs just fine but I would look elsewhere. You can find better quality knives for around the same price point that are significantly better.

I’m truly excited to give the finger guard to my 10 year old granddaughter. She likes to cook and bake, I think the finger guard will work perfectly for her until she develops better knife skills. First thing I did was cut up a melon and it worked perfectly.

This knife is pretty, nice, and sharp. It arrived in a sleek black box and also contains a plastic blade covering. The blade has some intricate laser engravings on it to kind of imitate how Damascus steel looks like. This definitely is not that, but it is extremely pretty regardless. The knife has some nice heft to it, but it is not too heavy to use to prep an entire meal. There is a smooth transition from the tang to the blade so the bolster doesn’t hurt your hands. Overall, pretty nice all-purpose kitchen knife with a pretty fair price.

This knife was a gift for my dad for Father’s Day and it’s his favorite knife out of all of the knives he has, cuts so smooth and easily through veggies and meat 100/10
