I’ve been looking for a traditional cheese slicer for a while and this one fits the bill.

El metal es muy finito y endeble. Sólo sirve para quesos muy blandos. Con un queso semi (que tampoco lo calificaría yo como queso duro) la hoja se dobla y parece que se va a partir.
No merece la pena.

This doesn’t do the job it’s intended for. I think it’s not sharp enough and it also cuts (or doesn’t cut) too thin. I have used this style of cheese slicer and was really happy with it, but this one just doesn’t work. I will try another brand.

Very very disappointed. Just doesn’t do what it is suppose to do…..slice cheese!

This is a review of the MULTI-USE cheese knife. It’s annoying tha tAmazon collects unrelated products on the same product page, so you can’t tell which product a review actually refers ot without contortions.
Anyway, I’ve now had this knife for 1.5 years.
Designed-for-Amazon items (AmazonCommercial, AmazonBasics) usually get excellent reviews, so I was surprised this got mediocre ones overall; I still bought it because I trust Amazon’s judgment on simple products, and I needed a inexpensive cheese knife that could still be shipped to my country (over here, they’re very rare, and cost a fortune).
I was not disappointed. This is a very good cheese knife. Not quite as good as a Swiss-made one I have, but it probably cost a third as much. It could be slightly sharper, but not much — several reviews complain about sharpness, and clearly the reviewers do not know what this knife is intended for, and they’re not using it correctly.
A cheese knife is not supposed to cut by pressing straight down, like a chef knife; it’s supposed to cut by using the serrated edge like a light saw, as otherwise the cut piece would stick to the knife. if sawed, it’s more likely to drop aside at which point it is picked up by the fishtail-like front edge.
Some complained that it didn’t cut thin enough slices — you need a cheese slicer for that, not a cheese knife. Different tool. Others that it didn’t slice semi-soft cheese: Of course not, you don’t slice semi-soft cheese into thin slices, one cuts it into thick-ish wedges. This knife will do that fine.
I saw no signs that the knife is cheaply made, or any bending, and it’s gone through numerous dishwasher cycles with no issues. There were complaints the handle is hollow. Sigh. It’s supposed to be, otherwise the knife will be balanced too much to the rear, making the cut more difficult to control.

This slices cheese much more easily than our old one, which recently died. Perhaps the old one was dull after decades of service.

It feels like the cutting blade is not sharp enough or is not positioned the right way. I tried to cut cheddar cheese with the blade flat along the cheese block and it just didn’t cut. It really more shredded. So I tried flipping the cheese slicer over- nope tried a different side of the cheese. Wasn’t very expensive so I just sent it to Goodwill 🙁

Nice utility knife for the $. However it works better as a tomato slicer than for cheese (what I really bought it for). I have a small, light Santoku knife which works much better for this purpose.

Easy to use. Does not stick to cheese when cutting.

Bought this specificly for slicing blocked cheese. It does an okay job, just have to apply a lot of force. Was looking for something similar that would ‘slice like butter’
