It’s perfect for weight loss (have lost 30 lbs and counting using it!) and for converting recipes when they give you measurements in grams or ounces. Plus it’s so cute! Goes with all my other teal appliances.

It was not expensive. Is very easy to use. Measurements are repetitive – same object in same conditions always gives the same reading.
I checked the accuracy by weighing objects that came with a reliable measured weight, but I can’t remember what they were. That was 6 years ago.
It seems to be accurate over a wide range of weights, from a few grams and up, and has been used to check many things, not only in the kitchen. For example the weight of products, including health products, as they are consumed to see the rate of use. It was very useful in selecting the contents of a backpack for El Camino de Santiago, that contained a wide variety of things, and had to be kept about 7 kg because it was to be carried for 6 weeks on end, over 770 km.
The tare function allows for the weighing of objects of very different shapes by putting them on something that fits the top of the scale, like for example plastic containers, and using it to zero the reading after putting them on.
The top plate comes of easily for cleaning by just turning it counterclockwise, if I remember well.
The only limitation I can think of is the max weight of 5 kg, but that is fine. For heavier thing we use a hand scale of those sold for weighing luggage, and hold them with belts that can later be weighed on the Ozeri to discount them from the reading, but that is rarely necessary.

I just ordered and received my second Ozeri food scale. The first one lasted me for about 6 years before it died. I used it all the time and didn’t take great care of it (sometimes I’d throw it haphazardly into a bag for travel or get water in it while cleaning it) and still, it ran like a champion. Finally, it died, so I ordered a new one for around $10 and will use it until it dies like its brother. If you use decent batteries, they last for a long time, even with daily use. Great, reliable little scale.

This scale was reviewed by America’s test kitchen and got the best review so I bought it too. I had one before this that I’ve been using for years so when I moved I bought it again. If you buy it now it actually cycles to kg now and alternate measurements. The accuracy is very high and reliable. Easy to use, honestly just buy it.

So glad I bought this scale here. At Walmart the price was almost doubled…. So I ordered this one and it’s truly a damn great scale. Easy to use and accurate. Delivered fast. Thank u.

These are good scales, accurate, with decent sized viewing window. Lots of different measures to choose from, i.e. kg, mls, ozs, etc. I just wish I had got a square one as my food processor won’t fit because the round weighing plate is too small for it. I prefer to weigh my ingredients straight into the container I’m mixing them in, so they don’t work so well for me that way. Apart from that they are good scales and are good value for money. Can recommend.

This is a great scale and I’ve used it for years. I’m only replacing it because it is large and I wanted a small scale for living in my van.
After using this for years, I tested weights against my new Wacaco scale and everything reads the same weight to the gram.
Most of the sparse negative reviews of this scale complain about accuracy – they say it only weighs to the whole gram or 0.3 oz. As advertised. And like most larger kitchen scales. This was good enough for me to weigh food, camping gear, weed, coffee, and even very carefully estimating 1.75g of shrooms.
I am only replacing it because I’d like a smaller scale and I’d like to weigh microdosing. If you don’t mind the size and want to weigh stuff over a few lbs and don’t mind 1g increments, this is a fine scale.
Sure, the build quality leaves something to be desired. It’s not a luxury scale. It’s plastic. It functions very well, is extremely easy to use, the battery has lasted for many years. If you aren’t showing it off and just want a cheap scale that works for years and is accurate to 1 gram, I recommend this.

I researched various kitchen scales because I’m just starting to mill & bake my own bread. Had years of experience with quick breads out of a box, beer bread, homemade zucchini, banana & pumpkin breads but always felt making homemade yeast breads was a bit intimidating and time consuming (did not want to fail). I’m also going to introduce ancient grains as I progress for healthier breads. I noticed many recipes are in metric and I don’t have the inclination to learn to convert in my head (in my USA culture & growing up we don’t use metric but from research I get that it is suppose to be more accurate although I don’t recall ever having an issue using our traditional volume measures).
The Ozeri digital scale had every feature I wanted for my first scale including a great price of $11 (in case I didn’t like it or as sometimes happens the product breaks in short time frame) and a bonus feature. Sometimes the Amazon reviews can leave one bewildered as to what to really expect. So far I’m glad I chose the Ozeri. I can’t review its longevity yet but these are the features that helped me decide on the Ozeri
A. Goldilocks size (just right! Not too big/too small). There is already enough stuff taking up counter space.
B. Goes to 2 digits on OZS, some reviews said it only went to 1 digit (yes I’m going to be using grams but I still have a gazillion recipes that use traditional measures).
C. TARE function – awesome. I wouldn’t buy a scale that doesn’t have TARE feature.
D. Good response when adding ingredients, can lag a second but seems other inexpensive brands are the same or worse.
E. It holds/displays the value for 2 minutes by default. Bonus: instructions say it can be set to hold for up to 5 minutes (not verified). That is nice option for those days I’m not operating at peak baking organization.
F. Has rubberized feet to hold in place but still movable (not suction cups to battle with).
G. MAX Weighing over 13 lbs. Not sure I will need that much unless I get really good at bread baking. Others stop at 11 lbs. Like it when a product offers a little extra.
H. Easy to use. Two control buttons. Can move through the various Units (6 total) and it remembers initial value.
I. Large display although the Units can be hard to see (probably more a function of my eyes than the scale) as you scroll through them. Not a show stopper but if I graduate to a new scale that will be on my want list.
J. Uses 2 AAA batteries. I’m grateful power plug not required, small counter space and few accessible outlets.
K. Great price.
L. 1 year warranty. Hopefully won’t need to verify. Offers another year but kinda gimmicky/phishing so I won’t be getting it. But I get it, it’s marketing.
M. It comes in various colors. i dont care unless the only color available is one I don’t like. If anyone is still reading and cares I got the silver/black.
It’s early days but right out of the box I’m happy I chose the Ozeri Pronto. Also it shipped very fast (2-3 days) and n shipping damage.

Packaging was great, came in one piece. Batteries were included, very convenient. Love that it’s easy to transport around as well. Small design allows for easy storage when not in use, no need to leave it on the counter taking up space. Very accurate, easy to use & understand. Very user friendly, even if you’re new to using a kitchen/food scale.
