The scale seems pretty reliable for my needs, I notice it must be on a solid level surface to register properly which is prob normal. If you dont have a 50g calibration weight you can test by first weighing several nickels, most weigh exactly 5g so if your scale reflects this you know your good but heres how to make an accurate 50g weight to use if you need to calibrate later. Get a bunch of nickels occasionally you will encounter one that will weigh less than 5g. You can either use ten 5g nickels or use one of the lighter ones so that you may wrap with enough tape to reach the 50g point then you have a good one piece calibration weight.

So when I first got this scale it wouldn’t work correctly. Placing anything on the scale would show inaccurate readings and the number would constantly go up and down and would never settle on a weight. It was so frustrating that I ended up throwing it down onto hard tiling. This solved my problem! The cover broke off but the scale actually works perfectly now and goes straight to the correct weight instantly. I’m not recommending this solution if you have this problem but it worked out for me in the end.

I like that its compact and has weighing options. Its easy to figure out too! I think in grams it can be off on the weight which is why the 4 star.

Seems like a fairly rugged and well-built scale, fairly responsive, and with a nice sharp screen. But there are two things in the instructions’ “FAQ” section that don’t get mentioned in the Amazon listing, and I would not have bought it if I’d known either of them: 1, the scale can’t weigh amounts lower than 0.05g; 2, the scale’s only accurate to within +/- 0.05g.
The manual outright states – twice, no less – that their claimed 0.01g accuracy in the listing isn’t true:
“Q: The displayed weight is not steady, the last digit of the reading jumps up and down to the adjacent numbers, is it normal?”
“A: If it is within +-0.05g, then it is fine, because the tolerance of the scale is +-0.05g.”
“Q: Not accurate to 0.01 gram as advertised, I weighed the same item multiple times right away and the numbers varied by 0.02-0.03 grams. Is my scale defective?”
“A: The manufacturing tolerance is typically plus or minus 0.05g for this scale. If the readings are within this tolerance, the scale is performing as designed.”
I’m sure this is a fine scale if you only care about accuracy up to tenths of grams (0.1g), but if you need the hundredths (0.01g) to be even *close* to accurate, you may want to look elsewhere.

Just got it, opened it and put good batteries in it, chose the grains setting and put a 100gr field point on it..it reads 100.3 that’s good enough for me..I’ll be using this for my Archery stuff and I’ll update if anything acts up. Overall seems to be of decent quality…the LCD screen is backlit for viewing in dim light, the backlight does turn off after a while; such as in my picture. As of now, I recommend it.. especially for the price!

Just what I was looking for – smaller than the one I have been using, portable and easy to use.

Considering how small the scale is, it is perfect for use in a mobile laboratory, where equipment is not always the easiest to move. The scale is the size of a smartphone and works perfectly. Only thing I wished it had was a customizable platform for larger items to be weighted.

Excellent product. I’ve used it to weight the packets of desiccant to determine if they need to be replaced. This needs to be measured to 0.1 of a gram which this scale does.

What a complete wast of money. Don’t buy this product May as well burn your money instead.
Wouldn’t settle properly ever. Tried over 10 times to get it to read a proper weight and then return to normal. Always dropped below 0.0 by .3 Atleast. And never held a tare properly
