Small… fits in a kitchen drawer. Some recipes that I use require that the chicken or steaks be brought down to a sliver.. This does the job without adding a bulky tool to my collection

I bought this for a bag of Christmas gifts I gave to my sister last year (2021) and she loves it. I was at her place a month ago and used it to pound some pork chops and after I cleaned it I also pounded one of her baking sheets back to a flatter state than she had it. So, it’s multi-functional! 🙂

SEE ATTACHED. The new one is beside the old one I had that I’m replacing (Because of the poor finish – oxidizes in dish washer). The new one that I bought here is TINY beside the old one. The idea of using a tenderizer is to SPREAD the weight of the tool over a broad area of the meat being tenderized. This tiny mallet LOOKS nice but will be relatively useless due to its size. STILL on the hunt for a decent one!

This looks and feels a lot more expensive than it is. Cordon Bleu and roulades are much less if a hassle now (the frying lan pounding gets old real fast…). Super easy to use and clean – what a great find!
