Of all the kitchen tools I own, I never used a real meat tenderizer. I wanted to make pork Schnitzel and decided I would buy a real one. This did a fabulous job and worked much better than my grab whatever will work options.

Sadly, I am not happy with this product.
When i opened the box, i noticed a cut towards the bottom end. when i pull the product out of the bubble wrap i see that it’s defective or a used return product reissued. the flat head of the hammer had dents on both sides and a few visible scratches on the upper left quad. and there was an orange color dot like mark just to the middle that looked odd that there was even a mark on it considering it was a supposedly new piece. and the other thing was that the handle was bending to one side, so it was not a straight piece. this piece looked used when i took a closer look.
the weight and size of it was actually pretty nice, it would have been nice to try it but i didn’t want to risk it on any meats or such so i have elected to return it and look for another brand to buy.
Maybe this one was defective, but whatever the reason it got away from the company It left a wrong impression on me.

The directions were difficult to follow (joking, of course)

I don’t tenderize meat, but I occasionally have steamed crabs. The standard-issue wooden crab mallets are not sturdy, and are cheaply made. Whether you use this to tenderize meat or as I believe they are actually intended 😉 they’re a good buy.
