This product is FANTASTIC!!! Over the past several years meat and even chicken breast has been getting tougher and tougher. Last week I bought 3 large NY Strip steaks. I grilled one and froze 2 for the future.
the steak I grilled was as tough as shoe leather and had a ton of gristle that you couldn’t see.
I decided to get a meat tenderizer but didn’t want a chemical tenderizer and I already have a meat hammer which was useless on this steak. I researched mechanical tenderizers and this device came with good ratings and priced right. After receiving it I defrosted one of the steaks I froze and couldn’t wait to try it. And, it “WORKS FANTISTIC!!!” I punched hundreds of holes from both sides of the steak, rubbed it with fresh garlic, put Lawry’s seasoning salt, grilled it and it was tender, gristle waste and tasty!!
I give it 7 stars out of 5 and should have done this years ago!!

I had one of these years ago and used it on lesser quality meats with success. This one works pretty good but could use a bit stronger spring as the knives get stuck in the meat until you shake it free.

Good thing, but handle better be thicker for more comfortable grip.

This meat tenderizer works very well and is so much more effective than the old hammer style. Meat is not flattened but actually tenderized while it keeps its shape.

This product is great for decreasing the time needed to marinate. Punch a few holes on each side of your meat-of-choice, put the meat in a ziploc bag with the marinade, and it really takes in the marinade vs doing it without. Afterwards, a little rinse under hot water and cleanup is a breeze.

So, before I start this review I’ll talk about the chewy chicken that I buy from the store that makes my wife lose her appetite. I but it because A. It’s cheaper than the expensive Foster Farms chicken. (I can’t eat red meat due to a stomach condition so we eat a lot of chicken.) I tried this on that chicken just a couple nights ago. It not only made the meat more tender but it was marinating and after being in the marinade for just a few hours the breast meat tasted delicious. I highly recommend this product. It’s cheap and very effective. 🙌

People! It pays for itself!! Less than $20 for this thing?? After using it several times now, I can say I would have easily paid $100 for a tool this useful. It makes all the difference in the world. It gives an $8 steak the texture and taste of something you’d pay $60 for at a fancy restaurant. It just falls apart in your mouth 🤤 so you can buy cheaper cuts of meat but still have great quality meals. The savings = pays for itself.
It almost feels like using a stapler. You just punch it down into the meat. I do it liberally on both sides of the cut. You can season before or after the hole-punching. I’ve tried both, and either way it turns out super tender and flavorful, even if you only have 20 minutes to marinate before cooking (like after work when you forgot to prepare the meat ahead of time.)
Easy to hand wash if you have a cleaning brush, but we’ve put it in the dishwasher before too.
I’m very very happy with my purchase and will be buying as stocking stuffers for other meat-lovers in my family! It’s a tool we use weekly at my house. My favorite Amazon purchase ever!

Great Meat Tenderizer with 48 Stainless Steel that are very easy to clean. Makes your meat taste better in my opinion. Watch out for sticking the needles in chicken bones they are very hard to get out. Overall GREAT!
