Renowned worldwide for its cookware collections, All-Clad now makes kitchen accessories, and that’s welcome news to serious and professional cooks. This 11-1/2-inch pasta ladle is a perfect example of the tools’ professional-grade quality. It’s made of heavy 18/10 stainless steel that is polished to a mirror finish. The handle, which features the same famous design used in All-Clad’s cookware, is grooved on the top and rounded on the bottom for comfort and holed in the end for hanging on a hook or peg. With its prongs and hole in the center, this ladle serves long pastas, such as spaghetti, without clumps and allows cooking water to drain away. All-Clad tools are dishwasher-safe and carry a lifetime warranty against defects. –Fred Brack

The Rolls Royce of Pasta ForksThis is seriously the freaking Rolls Royce of pasta forks (man, never thought I’d write that sentence) – there probably doesn’t exist a nicer pasta fork on the market right now. I know what you’re thinking, why the hell would you even NEED a luxury pasta fork? Well, you probably don’t. I’m sure the
OXO Steel Spaghetti Server
would serve you well enough. That said, this is incredibly well made – feels good in the hand. The “carve” in the handle is just downright gorgeous. And the shine, oh the shine – I have never seen shinier, more polished metal in my life. This thing seems like it’ll last forever. Plus, it’s one piece, with no weird welds or other materials glued on like the OXO – less things to worry about long term, easier to clean, and you don’t need to worry about what weird glue they used to glue the rubber handle on leaching into your food over 10 years or something. It’s dishwasher safe, so you can just pop it in there if you’re feeling lazy, but the fork tangs are just the right distance apart to make cleaning easy. Really, you can’t go wrong with this. There is absolutely no reason why you should ever buy a plastic pasta fork given that all plastics leach chemicals, and unbelievable stuff like this is available. If you cook pasta a lot, it’s worth the money. My only critique is that sometimes I wish it was like, an inch longer. But only sometimes. But given that you’ll probably only be using this (at worst) to stir long haired pasta in boiling water, I can definitely confirm that this is more than long enough for that without burning yourself.

Nice PieceI bought it to replace a plastic pasta ladle that broke in use and I’m generally delighted with it. Like all All-Clad pieces it is beautifully manufactured and wonderful to behold. On the other hand, I find it a bit short for the intended purpose and the bowl seems to be angled at an odd angle. Still, it does what it is supposed to do and I presume that it will last forever.

Great if you eat a lot of pasta!I already had one of these and gave this one as a gift. It’s sturdy enough for any type or amount of pasta and cleans well in the dishwasher.

Conserve water with ladeling out your pasta and saving the waterSince going whole-grain, plant-based eating, I now make whole wheat and brown rice spaghetti. These days living in California, where we have been in a drought for 5-6 years, I am constantly trying to conserve water. I cook alot and one of the biggest water drains is cooking pasta. When you cook potatoes, it takes a bit of water, but the potatoes soak up most of the water. Pasta soaks up some of the water, but when we dump the pasta water into a collander that is in the sink, alot of water goes right down the drain. So lately, when the pasta is a Ia dente, I scoop the pasta out into a bowl, and then go to the sink to rinse it. That way I can pour the pasta water on my fruit trees or the other plants I have in my yard. I was using a plastic pasta ladle, but I’m dipping it into a pot of boiling water and I don’t know if the plastic one is BPA-free, so I bought a stainless steel pasta ladle.(I love All-Clad) It does the trick without out-gasing.

A quality tool for the kitchen!Everything about this laddle is of the highest quality! It is small though. I originally gave it four stars, but as I continued to use it, I realized that a tool such as this deserves five! It is absolutely beautiful and is easy to wash, both by hand and dishwasher! Feel blessed to own it! I would think it would make a great gift for someone who loves to cook!
