Very easy to use and much faster than I expectedI make my own pasta but not as often as I’d like because of all the work and clean up required. I saw this pasta machine and thought, why not. We eat pasta at least three times a week so why not make my own? I was AMAZED. I followed the directions exactly, made the 2 cup batch and had perfect results. Note, I used ’00’ flour, but video’s I’ve seen have shown people using bread and even all purpose flour and half all purpose and half semolina. I just received it today so the only extruder I’ve used is the spaghetti, but I intend to try the lasagne extruder to make ravioli this weekend. It was super easy to take apart and clean too. I recommend watching a video or two before using it but the quick start guide was really good too. Also, seems to be quality parts – plastic but heavy plastic. All in all, a great addition to my kitchen

First time using it we made great pastaThe media could not be loaded.
Looked at all the reviews and decided to give this pasta maker a try. We watched numerous videos on how to make pasta and what to look for in the consistency of the dough. Well, it was worth it. We made two batches of great pasta right off the bay. Cleaning was quick and easy. Bottom line – a great product but read the directions and watch a few videos. Will never buy pasta again.

Emerils pasta machineThe pasta will come out great if you completely follow directions. There are several recipes in the booklet that comes with the machine. The machine comes easily apart for cleaning. I’ve had no problems putting it back together. My family enjoys the freshly made pasta that I am making it at least once a week. I do recommend.

Wonderful pasta machine!I wouldn’t normally purchase an item with a five star rating of only 63%. After reading reviews and tips from others who enjoyed this item I though I’d give it a chance and purchase it. I am glad I did. This is a wonderful pasta maker! The main thing to remember is to use the correct amount of flour and liquids. And watch some of the videos on YouTube on the Emeril Everyday channel with Chef Claire. She gives wonderful tips if the pasta is too dry or too wet and how to remedy those issues.I love this pasta maker! I normally make pasta by hand which I love doing and will continue to do. When I am a bit more pressed for time I will use the Emeril Pasta & Beyond Pasta Maker. Making pasta by hand normally takes me between 90 and 120 minutes. Using this pasta maker a one pound (or double batch) takes about 20 minutes.I have used this several times and have made linguine, spaghetti and squid ink fettuccine. All came out great and tasted incredibly fresh compared to boxed pasta. And it cooks significantly faster than boxed pasta. My only issue is the pasta discs are a little hard to clean and can take a bit of time to clean well. I haven’t placed them in the dishwasher yet but will try that the next time I use my machine.Normally it’s only me and my wife to cook for. One thing I love about this is you can make either an 8 oz batch or a 16 oz batch which is a great option if you don’t want to have more than one meal of pasta. I start to heat my water when I begin to make the pasta. The timing is pretty close. Another thing I love is you don’t have to use a drying rack for this pasta. You can if you’d like but it is not necessary.I definitely recommend this as I have not had any issues with it and it makes a very nice, fresh quality pasta in a timely fashion.

So easy to useI have never made pasta before using the pasta and beyond. The 1st time using it and my pasta came out great! The instructions are easy to follow and it even comes with helpful tips to make sure you get good results. I live in the south and don’t have any elevation concerns, so I just used the measuring cups that come with the pasta & beyond; I didn’t have any problems with texture or moisture/dryness of the pasta.I have family members that are chefs and I feel like I can actually serve them pasta now with confidence. On a scale from 1 to 10, I’m about a 5 on cooking skills, but with this, I can move up to at least a strong 8…

Great Investment! This little versatile machine is a great investment in our household! We get boxes of citrus fruit every winter, and this machine squeezes 8-9 oz. out of every single grapefruit. You can’t get that by hand! Making pasta isn’t nearly as easy, but it’s well worth it. You have to take your home environment into account when mixing the dough. For instance, our house is pretty dry, so I needed more liquid than the recipe called for. It’s important to look at the dough’s texture when it pauses to rest, and adjust then, but it takes some trial and error to get it right. Once I did, the pasta came out amazingly delicious! I will most likely never buy pre-made pasta again unless I need a very unique shape. However, the biggest downside is the number of parts/amount of space the appliance takes up. Still well worth the purchase if you like fresh juice and pasta.
