I have bought 2 pizza peels and pizza stones from another source on Amazon. That second pizza peel is just as sturdy, just as solid, just as easy to care for, but the bevel on the edges was sharper, making it easier to move the pizza on and off for the first peel.
My son and I buy the cheap 3-meat frozen store brand pizzas. We buy extra grated Italian Cheese mix, extra pepperoni, spicy Italian sausage. We doctor up the store bought pizza. By the time we doctor them up, we could not tell the difference between the store brand and DiGarnos.
We thaw the pizzas before we doctor them. The dough gets to rise a bit more. We put the pizza stones on the gas grill and crank the heat to over 500 degrees. We only need to bake them 6 or 7 minutes, rather than the 20 minutes suggested on the box if done frozen in the oven at 400 degrees.
I do not plan on buying the chain delivery place pizza ever again. I do kind of miss Brother’s and Big Ben’s Pizza, but at close to $10 cheaper per pie, and the fun of doing this with my child, the difference in the pizza is not significant.
Actually, we bought a plain cheese store brand pizza for this Friday. I am going to the store tomorrow to buy a slab of ham. I already bought the pineapple. I have a buddy from Hawaii. I will accommodate the tastes of my friends.
I have seen ‘pizza crusts / Pillsbury pizza dough’ at the grocery store. One of these days I may have to make a chicken, mushroom and Alfredo sauce pizza.

I use a 12″ pizza screen to bake my DIY pizzas but needed a good way to slice them. This fit the need. I slide my hot pizza onto it, slice and can then carry it anywhere on the pizza peel. The handle is kind of sharp at the edges. I was thinking of getting a router of some kind to round them but instead took a length of old bicycle inner tube and wrapped it around the handle, tucking in the end… voila! Smooth! IIRC, I also took my finishing sander and smoothed the business side of the peel to make it plain unfinished bamboo. I think it had some kind of finish on it before.

Used it a couple times now and it does the job. If you’re looking for a pizza spatula you won’t go wrong with this one.

It’s solid, but just a little thick so trying to scoop the pizza up was a little difficult. The handle is also pretty short making it difficult to use when working in the oven.

Exactly what I was looking for. Haven’t used it yet to really test it out but it’s the perfect size and is light. Did have a small defect to it. Messaged the seller and they took care of it no problem. Can’t wait till our next pizza night to try it out!

One of the challenges of prepping a pizza to go into a wood fired pizza oven is that once the dough is rolled out on the counter top and the topping are added, it becomes quite difficult to “cleanly” scoop it onto the metal pizza peel without sending toppings everywhere. To solve this, I purchased a few of these so that each pizza “maker” can lay down some AP flour and/or semolina and roll out/build the pizza of their choice on individual peels. I can then launch the pizza from each peel with little effort, keep the pizza from turning out like a “picasso” painting and keep the process moving efficiently.
I think these would also work VERY nicely for a charcuterie board but I have not gotten around to that yet (everything would probably just end up as a pizza topping anyway :-).
