Seems robust enoughI’ve had several nut choppers and have destroyed all of them eventually. Biggest problem — the chopping blades do not survive striking a piece of nut shell mostly due to the blades not being large/robust enough. I’ve yet to hit any shell to report ‘yea or ney’ if it has survived, but I can say from casual observation that the blades are thicker so hopefully better. More to come (?)

the plastic material is defectiveI love the way it works for chopping nuts.Unfortunately it is falling apart after only one year use. I had to glue the bottom back on and now the threads are breaking off. The plastic is defective.

Finally! After years with a chopper, I bought this for chopping nuts. The old one makes a mess in the kitchen.Clean and fast.

10 years still going strong. This device is fantastic for consistently sized nut pieces. More uniform that from a food processor. Had it for 10 years and it’s still my go to even for large amounts.

More than just a nut chopperFull disclosure: I did not purchase this for the intended use. I know of several people who purchased one of these for grinding of other items and lemme just tell you it works wonders! The ease and quickness of the actual grinding process is far superior to other grinders. It doesn’t get caked in…stickiness…and it’s the right amount of coarseness in the grind. Sometimes I send it back through a second time depending on the final product I’m looking to achieve. Overall, would totally purchase this again and will be recommending to anyone who finds regular grinders monotonous.

Great chopperI like that you can chop fine, or coarse.

Nut ChopperThis chopper will chop nuts into one of two sizes (course or fine). Totally easy to use, but when cleaning, sometimes you have to clean chopped nuts from between the knife blades.

Love thisLooks almost like the nut chopper my grandmother had, except hers was made of glass. Use this frequently to chop almonds for oatmeal, etc.
Mark Williams –
Satisfactory unit. Does what it’s supposed to.We use this device to fine grind walnuts and pecans. It’s easy to clean and works as it should, But do not over tighten or the thread lip will break, rendering the device unusable.

Like it at firstYou have to be careful turning the handle. I kind of support the arm of it as I turn it. After a few months of very light use, (12 almonds or pecans at a time), I noticed that the plastic is fracturing by the threads along the top of the jar. I have never over tightened the top. Kind of disappointing. I hoped to at least get a year out if it, but I think it is going to have to be thrown out soon. I don’t want to break a tooth on a chunk of plastic.
