A grinder that can’t grindI love this company!!! I have so many of their products. I was due for some upgraded salt and pepper grinders so I naturally looked up Zwilling to see if they made some . Low and behold they did. I got the black one for pepper and the white one for salt. The pepper grinder works like it supposed to and I’m very happy with it. You can adjust your grinder like most grinders and it stays in place so you don’t have to constantly turn and adjust the ceramic grinders. Easy one hand operation and the LED even shines on what you are gonna grind pepper on. The USBC charger is nice since that’s what everything is now so you don’t have to keep up with 14 different styles of cables. Now the bad news… this thing refuses to grind salt. I like the pink Himalayan salt like lots of people use now so that’s what I put in it. If you have it fine it turns a 1/4 turn and locks up. I usually have to take the motor off and spin the grinder backwards to dislodge the salt rock. If you back it off more it will work a little longer and then hang up again. If you go super coarse where you may as well dump the rocks in there on their own it seems to continuously work. The motor gears ended up stripping out and I had to warranty it out. Got a new one with same results. It hasn’t stripped out yet but I imagine it’s just a matter of time. If you were to use regular salt rocks it might work ok but I only use pink Himalayan so I haven’t tried any other type. I’m using the salt grinder refill so it’s not like the salt isn’t designed to be ground up. They definitely need to upgrade the internal parts and put in a stronger motor for salt.
