Works pretty wellIt works pretty well until you get down to the last cup or so of batter. It def helps with getting the cups evenly filled and without a huge mess. If the batter had flown well for the entire container def would have given it 5 stars.

Good product, but handle breaks easilyI loved the product, but the handle has broken on the past two I have owned. I think it weakens over time. One broke in less than a year of owning it.

CHEAPLY MADE…PASSBeing Chicago Metallic, you’d think these things would be top of the line. Not so much. Lots of times they arrive broken. They break effortlessly. We’ve had boxes of these that we had to throw away. My wife and I are the only ones who do all of the baking for our cupcake store. These are what we use. If the engineers would just pull their heads out of their you know whats and get it together so the tops of the handles wouldn’t break off…..that would be great. We have given thousands of dollars to Chicago Metallic via baking tins and other nice quality products. These fail. Over and over they fail. They break sooo effortlessly. I would be willing to pay more for better materials so these handles would STOP popping off. The leak problems are hit and miss with dispensers as well. Some leak, some don’t. Today the gaskets blew and I am at the end of my rope. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE these when they don’t pop and break. They are so cheaply made! And right at the seams too. We have been through a ton of them since 2012 when we opened. We treat them like fine china, too. ALWAYS AND we carefully hand wash them when we use them. We even hold them with two hands when we dispense, still = pop and break. I’m super frustrated because we got some today and two of them were broken and we hadn’t even unwrapped them yet! It is not like we let staff just recklessly dispense cupcakes. No. Not at all. Even when we are super careful, pop/crack at the top of the handle.I will update this as I see fit. We printed the labels and will be shipping the crappy broken ones back. We recently recycled at least 25 of them to our local garbage pick up from the city. I’m done doing that. They will go right back, right now. Also, they are no longer purple, they came a maroon reddish color. We don’t want a refund. We want you to hire better engineers or let them use better materials to make these. And they don’t have to be clear. Let us know if you would like us to help you in any way. You have a good thing, just poor materials and possibly engineering. We have tried other knock off brands but their dispensers are a little bigger and one of the Chicago Metallic’s dispensers hold an even dozen so we don’t like to stray but this can’t continue.I’m over these damn dispensers. Fix them. Make a better version, charge more.

Use a gentle touch and this baby works great!Other reviews noted problems so I’m using care as I learn to use it properly. The purple slide mechanism that shuts off flow could be contrained with too heavy a batter so I mixed mine carefully to guarantee it would flow. I mixed it in a separate bowl, then poured it into the dispenser. I gripped the handle about midway and realized the power point was lower than my hand. Moving my hand down to the lowest point made the dispensing smooth and consistent. Also I liked holding the unit with both hands…one just for balance and the other to operate the handle. Some folks complained it was hard to clean and it certainly would be if you set it down and eat breakfast while the batter hardens. I took a sec to set it in the sink and let water run in, then dumped it and refilled with a drop of dish soap. When breakfast was done the dispenser was clean. Next time I think I’ll try preparing the batter the night before and filling the dispenser to stay the night in the fridge. As long as no batter seeps through the slide I think it will work well. From today’s experience I can see stopping the dispensing and going directly to the fridge could cause some batter to dry on and cause problems at the next use. Glad I bought it!.

Great for wax melts!I bought these for a non-food use and they work perfectly! I have a friend that sells Scentsy products, and while I love the wax melts, I hate having to clean out the glass and ceramic dishes most of the warmers have when I want to switch scents. Now I just pop the wax melt into this, and it lets me change out the scent daily if I’d like! Plus, once the wax has lost all scent, I can just pop it out of the silicone mold and start over with little hassle

For more than just baking….Naturally the first thing I tried with these cups was baking – zucchini muffins, to be exact. They came out perfect, as have everything else I have baked since with these cups. Everything slides out easily without having to grease and flour the cups. But I find myself using these babies for so many other things as well. I use them to freeze extras of many different things, such as homemade pizza sauce and tomato paste. Once frozen, they pop right out of the cups. I froze a bunch of basil from my garden in these cups as well, perfect size to pop into a big potful of soup. You can also make fun large ice cubes for a punch bowl – slice some lemons, oranges, and other freezable fruit into rings, place one or two in one of these cups, add water (or better yet, punch or lemonade or whatever you will be using ice in), and freeze. These are great as food molds – with Christmas coming up, what a great way to make individual sized gifts of homemade fudge. You can also make nice thick homemade peanut butter cups with these. They clean up easily, and their small size makes them very easy to store – I just toss them in a drawer. One of the best purchases I have made for my kitchen!

I love these silicone baking cupsI love these silicone baking cups. I purchased one set several years ago and have used them all of the time. Great for muffins- after they cool a little bit (silicone gets hot) a gentle squeeze and the muffins pop right now. I use them to make mini meatloaves, mini monkey-bread and eggs. Have you ever tried the baked eggs recipes on pinterest? They are delicious, but does not make for an easy clean up – these silicone baking cups do the trick. I put the cups inside the muffin tins I already own and unless I drip on the top of the pan, once they are cool a quick wipe and they are back in the cabinet. The muffin cups I put in a sink of hot water and they wipe right clean.I have found that when I am baking large amounts of muffins or cup cakes that 12 just aren’t enough so I purchased 24 more! I have a dishwasher with the skinny top rack for utensils and have found that these come out perfectly clean when washed there too! An added bonus.I don’t enjoy baking, but when I have to bake – these are great!
