This product does several things quite well: (1) It determines temperature with reasonable accuracy. It agrees reasonably closely with other thermometers that are believed to be accurate. (2) It displays the temperatures for both the refrigerator and freezer compartments on a single display. (3) The display is outside of the appliance, eliminating the need to open the doors and look inside. (4) Since the display is not inside the refrigerator or freezer compartment it is easy to read, not obscured by condensation or frost. We have another very similar device from this same manufacturer (an indoor/outdoor thermometer) and it has functioned well for several years. So, I would expect this refrigerator/freezer thermometer to also function for many years.

I can’t attest to the specific accuracy, that it’s within x degrees and so on, but what I can attest to is that it’s very easy to read and it’s more than accurate enough for my uses. I also love that it shows the high and low over the last 24 hours. The reason I got them is that my fridge one day lost it’s temperature and some food spoiled but not enough to be obvious. We almost got sick but luckily caught it on time. As a result we bought this to monitor the temperature and it’s been a great piece of mind to be able to just look at them at random times and know that the last 24 hours the fridge has always been within a certain acceptable range. They have been running on batteries for months and they are doing great. That being said I would recommend using two thermometers (why I bought this item because it comes with two) so that they can be located in different parts of the fridge. Not only does it give you more confidence that they are working and accurate at first, but later on you can locate them in different areas such as the door which has a tendency to have a lower temperature if it’s been left open and so on.

This is the second unit i got after returning the first one due to freezer alarm setting malfunctioning in Celsius setting. The minimum alarm was set to go off below -10 Celsius and the maximum was set to go off after -20. But the alarm keeps going off at every degree between -10 and -20 degrees. It is doing the opposite. The second unit does the same. The software is faulty After doing everything in the instruction manual it is still the same. The fridge alarm setting work fine, only the freezer alarm settings are faulty. Will be returning it and buying some other brand.

For the price I am very surprised how nice, well laid out, and complete the display is.
You do need to supply your own batteries, and I chose to use lithium batteries to monitor my chest freezer. It is great to have 2 sensors, so I placed the other one in my refrigerator.
The display allows me to see everything at a glance, including the current temperature, 24hour high and low, as well as whether or not I have set low/high temp alarms for each zone.
Range seems excellent as I tested the display 2 floors away from the sensor and the display still shows a very strong signal for each sensor. The manual indicates a 75 foot range.

This is the first wireless version I have found. I didn’t even know you could transmit right through the side of the fridge. This unit has strong magnets, sticks well to the refrigerator door; You can see from the product pictures how nice the display looks. Looks just as good in real life.
The remote units are well made and seem to work well. I don’t know how calibrated they are, but they seem to be reasonably accurate to my uncalibrated eye. Certainly good enough for my purposes, although I do plan to check accuracy at some point just to satisfy my curiosity. They seem to be close at least.
Overall I am very pleased with it. I would get another one for my other fridge, if I owned another fridge.
Edit: As was mentioned elsewhere, the suction cups don’t really work, especially in the freezer. However they can be useful… my glass fridge shelves have a gap a the back to allow air circulation. I stuck the suction cup flat on the surface at the back and hung the sensor from it off the back of the shelf. It’s an ideal situation for me, it’s out of the way there. Nothing to hang it on in the freezer but I just set it at the side towards the back and that also works for me.

I got this thermometer because I wasn’t sure of the temperature in the fridge at my new rental condo. Once installed my hunch was correct…the fridge was not cold enough! The alarm is nice if the temp gets too high.
The only thing I am unsatisfied with is the suction cups that hold the 2 sensors inside the fridge. They just don’t want to stay in place, they slide down and eventually come loose. So the sensors end up propped up against the inner wall.
The unit that shows the temperatures is nice. It shows both freezer and refrigerator temperatures on one screen at the same time , so no need to push any buttons to see the temperatures. The display is easy to read with large numbers. . The magnet on the back holds it securely on the outside of the fridge.

My fridge died in January and repairs would be 3 weeks so I stored the food in the garage. I used the thermometers to ensure the temperature in the garage was 32-39 F by adjusting the opening of the garage door, without these thermometers I would have lost all. Since then the thermometers are in the fridge with the same batteries (4 months).

We bought this due to butchering a lot of cows and having to put a ton of meat in our freezers. We did not want it to go bad if for some reason our freezer went out and we did not know. This has come in handy a lot. We have had times where one of our kids will get in the freezer to get something out and not shut the door well. In a couple minutes the alarm will blare letting us know that the temperature changed from what we had set it on. When we go to the freezer we see the door was not shut good and once we shut it, in a few the temp will go back to where we had it set. This works awesome for us and we love it.

I’ve had 2 of these sets for about 1.5 years: one set for my kitchen fridge, the other to use between a chest freezer and wine fridge. They work pretty well and have alerted me a few times when something is getting too warm, but they have some issues and I’m now posting this review because of one of the issues.
1. The magnets on the back of the monitors are a nice feature, just stick them to the fridge door, BUT they aren’t very strong and the whole backside of the monitors are very smooth so they will easily slide down unless supported somehow. I stuck a strong magnet under them which works ok. I also have them on the side of the fridge because I wouldn’t put these on the door since they’d likely come off if the door was opened or closed too hard. There’s also a hole to hang them on a hook and a little kickstand if you want to set them on a flat surface, both good features.
2. The connectivity is sometimes problematic. There have been a couple times where one of the monitors stopped receiving a signal from a transmitter. Resetting by removing/reinstalling batteries sometimes works, but not the last time, so I had to swap their channels around to find a combination that worked for both sets. Then today I saw that the freezer temp was flashing and was showing no signal. I checked the batteries, which were good but replaced them anyway, but still no luck. I switched channels again, and got temp readings that were different and didn’t make any sense. I thought maybe my neighbor who has lots of gadgets maybe got something similar and it was interfering with my setup. So I switched to the old channel, power cycled, and it started working again. Thankfully this doesn’t happen very often, but it’s annoying to try to troubleshoot.
I would recommend but I’m guessing they use common short distance radio frequencies and could be susceptible to interference by other devices.
