Used it for the oil to make home made donuts

This is a sturdy thermometer. Clips on side of pan well and stays in place. It seems to be accurate but I have not confirmed with instant read thermometer.
It is very hard to read for me. Thermometer seems smaller than others I’ve had. Just okay.

We got this for making our own cheese curds. We can’t get them locally so we made our own from a recipe on YouTube. We needed this to get the oil temperature correct.

Be careful to read the size of the thermometers. I didn’t, being in a hurry, and these are 12 inches long! they are excellent for deep frying and such but if you are planning on any type of use in a shorter pot, these may not be for you. They are really sturdy, have a movable marker to set on the temperature you want. The temperature increments are not really that easy to see or mark if you need to be precise.

The probe does get hot to handle but other than that it’s a good deal!

Nice long probe for lg pots and thick meat. Tested accuracy to 212. Tested good

These old retired eyes had much trouble with the tight increments and small size on the gauge. May be a good inexpensive solution for the ‘visually acute’, but was challenging for me.

Not great. Doesn’t seem accurate. Needle didn’t move, then moved, then didn’t. I Compared with an old thermometer and it was way out…
