Works great in a commercial kitchen for checking multiple food

This thermometer is the one to get. I purchased one before from a restaurant supply house and when I brought it to the counter the staff told me it is their most popular thermometer. It is fast, accurate, and most importantly water proof! They told me that you can just put this in the dishwasher when you’re done using it if you want to.
Unfortunately I accidentally broke that original thermometer I purchased from the restaurant supply store. I forgot to put the hard blue case on it, and broke the metal probe while closing a drawer one day. I went to Amazon to shop for a new thermometer, and ended up ordering a different brand that has more ratings/reviews. It has a magnet and sticks to the fridge, and has a foldable probe. The biggest disappointment about it is that it is not water proof! Total let down.
Having a waterproof thermometer is worth paying just a bit extra. You don’t have to worry about dropping it in a pot of water, and you can rinse it off in the sink with the rest of the dishes and utensils.

My purchase arrived this morning. It was perfect timing for my steak. The reading was very accurate and fast. I inserted the probe1/4″ in the center exactly mentioned. Love the perfect pocket size. Very handy to carry.

This thermometer reacts quickly to temperature changes (a few seconds) and buttons have a positive feel. The end of the probe is thin, only 1.75 mm diameter for the last 20mm. The thin probe end give the fast reaction time but does make it vulnerable to damage. A quick check with boiling water showed it to be accurate to within one degree. I consider the thermometer to be superior to the many cheaper ones available online (I’ve had a few cheap ones in the past).

Nice one , accurate . simple and easy to clean ( probe) . also the probe is long so can be used on big meat like turkey. would have given 5 stars as felt it a bit expensive than the cheap chinese made one on Amazon

Having owned several kitchen thermometers in the past, I was looking to buy one that was a bit more robust, I wanted one that was accurate, had a long enough probe, an easy to read display and a relatively quick response time. My last digital thermometer was so flimsy the probe bent and broke and the one before was destroyed by battery leakage only a few months after I bought it and the one before that could be as much as 15 degrees off and took too long to get a final reading.
Although the very tip of the probe is thin and therefore the device is more responsive, beware of thermometers where the entire probe is very thin as they are more prone to failure. The probe on this thermometer is quite sturdy. When I tested it’s calibration in boiling water and water/crushed ice mixture, it was accurate to within 0.1 degree which is phenomenal. The display is large enough and dark enough to read with ease and the temperature reading stabilizes in seconds. The probe cover protects the probe very well and can be snapped onto the top of the thermometer to act as an extension, it is tight fitting though so you have to give it a good tug to remove it. The Max hold temp feature is great when using the extension allowing you to remove the probe from the item you are measuring and bring it up to eye level to read without loosing the reading!
Given that I don’t drop the entire thermometer into food I am measuring and don’t pick up the device with food or grease all over my hands, cleanup is real easy – you just need to wipe off the probe or use a soapy sponge over it followed by a brief rinse. The fact that it is waterproof is a plus in case water splashes onto the device itself or if you really need to wipe it off with a wet sponge but I don’t see why one would need to put it into the dishwasher to clean it and would not recommend it.
All in all I am very pleased with it’s performance thus far, it is easy to use, easy to clean and accurate.

We’d owned an older metal food thermometer and our food kept coming out undercooked. We decided to purchased this new digital food thermometer and it works like a charm!
The digital food thermometer is easy to use. Press the button and it turns on. Insert it into the food and it quickly displays the food temperature.
It also came with a cap to keep metal insert clean.
Finally, the best part is that it’s dishwasher-safe! So that if it were to accidentally get drenched in water, the temperature display area won’t be affected and ruined like other digital items do!

The thermometer works just fine, fairly quick, but the plastic cover which also serves as the handle when you clip it to the end, has a pieces which breaks off leaving you with a short handle. And then the cover goes missing because it will not stay attached. Probably best used at home, I work in a restaurant so it gets used a lot.

As a State restaurant inspector this is an invaluable tool for doing my job. So far it’s been excellent for what I needed it for …. insuring commercial dish machines reach the 160° degree necessary rinse cycle temperature.

I bought mine on June 22nd, 2021 and it is currently August 30th, 2021 at the time of writing. Comarks have horrible and confusing controls for calibrating, and this model is no exception. Like the title says, the cap broke.
The cap itself is two molded plastic pieces fitted together, with pegs at the top that latch into the main body. These pegs are split exactly in half on both sides, meaning they break very quickly. Besides the cap breaking, I have had no other issues besides. I would recommend getting the PDT300 model instead for kitchen (commercial or home) use.
