The few readings I took so far seems accurate but you have to wait a very long while. In the HVAC industry this is not a good thing because time is money.

Very accurate when compared to expensive testers! Easy to use.
Two drawbacks….. takes a bit for it to read the temperature so don’t expect it to be immediate like a lazer tester. So put it in place leave it until the reading stabilizes and the measurement will be very accurate! Highly recommend for testing the temperature of air flow on air conditioning units!!! I think a drawback is it will only test to just under 500 Degrees.
Overall I find it very useful.

So I like Klein tools they have a great reputation for quality tools and they have an amazing warranty on there tools as well. There thermometer is very accurate, light weight and super convenient to use in small and tight spaces, however the pocket clip is there biggest down fall for it also locks the batteries in place but the darn thing constantly twists loose and your batteries fall out at the worst possible time every time. I and not happy about that and wish they would really come up with a better engineering design. Over all it works, it’s accurate, it is a great quality made product but please watch out for that pocket clip trust me on that.
Note: If you find my review helpful hit “like” I do enjoy giving reviews that people find useful.

This would be a five star review if the sampling speed of the tool was a little faster. It takes a minute or better before it clocks up or down to the area you are testing. If that’s ok with you, this is a good buy.

I use this tool to get the temperature of well water. Assuming it is accurate, it does a fine job. It is small and fits in my kit with ease. It very easy to read, even in bright sunshine

Been using this for a short period ( 2 weeks I think ) and so far its impressed me. I swapped it out for my works calibrated Regin unit which costs £240, that seems to be plagued with issues regarding with water ingress around where the probes are plugged in.
The Klein so far has out performed the Regin despite the cost difference. There seems to be many complaints about the belt/pocket clip, mine has been in/out of my pocket dozens of times without issue. Maybe I’m a bit more careful clipping it, but it’s been fine and I’ve had it in my pocket permanently during the 2 weeks. It’s a fraction of the size/weight of my other unit, now I carry this and a Klein 11 in 1 screwdriver which has transformed my 6 monthly temperature testing of TMV valves.
I first spotted it approx 2 years ago, I wish I’d bought it sooner…………

My only complaint is the slow reaction time – otherwise, it’s perfect.

This is a great instrument for HAC Technicians or Home Owners wanting to know the temperature of A/C vents or Refrigerators in their Home
