A nice portable option with some flawsI really like timed timer products and use them a lot at work with my students. I also have ADHD and wanted a portable one for meetings, keeping track of time in sessions etc.pros: it’s magnetic, you can add time in minute increments up to 90 minutesCons: the screen isn’t as bright as I would like so it doesn’t work well if you aren’t at the right angle to see it. So small groups it isn’t as valuable as I would like.Brights screen /darker time area and it would be 5 stars.A little disappointing as it’s not as versatile as I would have liked compared to other time timer products but I’ll be keeping it none the less .

Great intuitive kitchen timerIt’s great except setting it gets squirrelly after a year or two. Usually after the second battery change. You have to turn it back and forth to get to time you want because it jumps around. Despite this I’ve bought 3-4 times. If you’re worried about batteries why aren’t you using rechargeable ones. It’s 2022 why would you buy disposable aa or aaa.

expected better quality for the priceMagnets are too weak so you cannot control the timer with one hand while being magnetized to a vertical surface. Have to use two hands and the bottom portion is slimmer than the top so you can easily lose the grip. At certain angles there is a glare and and contrast isn’t high enough.

Digital, visual countdown for the kidsDo you know how hard it is to find a timer that:1. Has a visual countdown so kids can see how much time is left even if they can’t figure out numbers?2. The visual mechanism isn’t just based on 60 minutes (or some other fixed time)You’d think it’d be easy, obvious even, but there’s nothing out there except this! Now, I can set the timer for 10 minutes, and the kids can see when they have half the time left, instead of squinting and trying to distinguish between 1/6th and 1/12’th of a red sliver left (that’s 10 minutes and 5 minutes on a 60 minute-based timer). You twist the timer in your hands to set it, and there’s a simple, single start/pause button for the rest. That’s it.The only way this could be any better is if it were bigger, had it’s own stand-up foot, and if you could turn it off when you’re not using it. I was pretty surprised that you couldn’t actually turn the thing off. It just stays at whatever you last set it for.It might also be nice if when you turned it and it was already counting down, instead of stopping and clearing the current timer, it added or removed minutes and kept running, but that’s not really ~that~ big of a deal. I’d use this feature quite a bit to inject urgency when the kids lose extra time from goofing around.

Could have easily been awesomeI am trying to do pomodoro style time management and needed flexibility for times over an hour. The dial method of setting the time looks great. But there is too much friction in the cheaply molded plastic mechanism so you can’t just turn the dial as it sits on the desk on its rubber feet, the bottom will turn when you try to turn the top. So, you have to pick it up and try to hold onto the thin base section as you use your other hand to turn top portion which is the dial input to dial up a time. So close!

Easy set battery timer 1-90min invaluable work tool!!I have found no other product like this, I had a soccer timer with a rotating bezel to set the time, but I lost it, and I could not find another timer like it, I think they stopped making it. This timer is the closest thing I have found.1. Quick to set the time intervals, most timers are a pain to set, this is just a dial twist, very quick and intuitive2. I could use my phone, but my phone is used for so many things, it is just too much, I want a stand alone device3. I need to discipline myself with sprints of work that are different sizes, and I need to be able to see the time remaining4. I do not want a loud and undependable mechanical timer, I need something silent and visual5. Needs to be portable so I can put in in my man purse6. Needs to have a large display so I can pace myself and discipline my work sprintsThis is a very simple device but there is nothing I have found like it, I struggle with attention and focus, so I need to have something that is a tool for this discipline, this timer is invaluable to me.I wish it was slightly thinner with a tactile bezel, and a slightly brighter face, but honestly it does all my must haves, thank you for making this timer, this is one of my most important tools!!!

Great timer, no off button but otherwise great!I really like this timer, I bought it for our 7 year old to help her keep on track for bedtime and getting ready for school in the morning. I love how you can see the time go down but also the digital display is why I bought this one because it has 2 visuals. The alarm when it goes off is a bit annoying and long but you can press the pause button and it shuts it off. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because once you start the timer the there is no going back. I wish there was an option to shut it off. Seems super weird to me you can’t shut it off.

Great little timerGreat little timer. It runs on a single AAA battery, which we always have around. It’s very easy to set in minute increments, hit the play button and it counts down for you. I wish it would let you add a minute or two while it was counting down and that it had 4 magnets instead of 2, which is why I deducted one star. It’s also made of plastic, so feels a little cheaper than a Nest thermostat, but what do you expect for something so inexpensive. Replace the back two bumpers on each side with magnets, to join the two magnets on top/bottom, and it could go anywhere in my kitchen. So with those two requests, it would be the perfect timer for my kitchen and get 5 stars. Additionally, I would love it if Time Timer would build a high quality metal version for those who want stainless/nickel/aluminum looks around their kitchen, and charge a premium for it. I’d buy it.

great for adults who need to keep track of pacing during meetingsI LOVE LOVE LOVE this timer. Using Zoom all day I can lose track of time, I use this time to keep me on time for meetings, to help me stay aware of when to wind up meetings, how long I have for a break, pacing meetings— it’s small and so I can have it just by my computer screen without it being obtrusive — honestly, I thought it would be great for my kids, and they like it too, but I decided it was a godsend for me with remote work. I might buy a second one for my kids, though they do just fine with the kirot timer.

Absolutely Bizarre Timer DesignThe media could not be loaded.
I don’t understand all the positive reviews for this timer. It’s terrible.First off, out of the box, there is no battery included. Fair enough, I installed my own fresh AAA. The LCD screen is worse than any Casio watch I had in 1982. So faded, such low contrast, so difficult to read.Second, there’s no way to power the time off. It’s always on. meaning it’s always running the battery down. Then you go to try and set it. Good luck, unless you are lucky enough to have a lot of ferrous metal paneling in your house or classroom, or appliances made of iron. This timer barely sticks to my stainless fridge/freezer. Now, normally, I wouldn’t mind that because I’d just put it on the countertop. But here’s the deal: This timer has no stand of flip-up backplate. Meaning it can only sit flat on a table or counter. And here’s where it gets worse. The room on the back for purchase with your fingers is about a quarter inch on the back “half” and about 3/4 of an inch on the forward half. There is no texture to speak of, so you are trying to rotate the front half of the timer while holding the back half steady. It’s extremely difficult, even for a man with good hand strength. This timer is going right back to Amazon. Sorry, but this is an absolutely terrible design.
