Cook three dishes at once without the hassle of estimating individual cooking times. West Bend’s convenient digital triple timer features three separate alarms that signal when dishes are done. An easy-to-read LCD screen calculates up to 100 minutes in timer mode and notes the hour, minute and second as an AM/PM clock. Its simple design provides a separate button for each timer for straightforward programming. The alarms steadily beep for a minute, or until the user pushes the on/off button. A memory function also recalls the timer’s previous setting–useful for baking several batches of cookies of canning several pots of jam.
Equipped with a clip, magnet, hanging hold, and stand, the timer conveniently perches on a countertop, hangs from a cabinet hook, affixes to the refrigerator, or clips onto an apron pocket. The timer is powered by two included AAA batteries. For best results, wipe clean with a damp cloth. The timer measures 2.7 by 3 by 0.7 inches, and weighs 1 pound upon shipping. West Bend covers the product with a one-year warranty. –Jessica Reuling

Not like the old model. Frame WILL break if dropped. This is kind of a mixed review. I have the older model (#40073) of this timer, which is probably around 15 years old now. I think the powerful magnet on here is strongly attracted to Earth’s geo-magnetic force, because I have dropped my old one hundreds and hundreds of times. I have re-glued the magnet back in place so many times, it’s just embarrassing. No matter how many times I dropped it, nothing ever happened to it, but the magnet popping off. It was only when I dropped it into a pot of simmering soup where it finally malfunctioned, and only cost me a portion of the ‘hour’ field on the screen, but still works like a charmThe new one I dropped once, ONCE, and part of the frame broke. The frame that supports the plastic leg that kicks out to stand on a flat surface, is much thinner plastic than the older model. I can no longer reattach that leg piece, because the parts that broke, held that leg in place, so I can longer have it stand on a flat surface while cooking or attach to my frig or overhead exhaust, where my old still sits, with no problem at all.I will probably take the guts out of the new one and try to fit it into the old frame. At least I know the old one can sustain a fall, actually hundreds of falls. The new once cannot withstand a single fall. I’m not concerned that the technology will fail, yet, but the frame is definitely a downgrade, and will impact how you can use it.Overall, I’m disappointed. I’m sure the timer will still work, but because of the broken leg/stand, I’m limited as to where I can store it and how I can use it now.

Great Digital TimerLove this timer! Can time three different events at the same time. Magnet attachment isn’t that strong so it’s easy to knock it off the range hood or refrigerator and WILL break when it hits the floor. Other than that I’m happy with it.

A poor version of it’s predecesserMy old West Bend triple-channel timer was great and only bit the dust when I accidentally dripped liquid on it. I hoped this one by the same manufacturer would be equally simple and easy to use. Not so much. For whatever reason, they put both a magnet and an easel on the base making it unstable and impossible to start or stop the timer with only one hand when it is sitting on a counter top (my preferred place for it). The memory feature for each channel is a new and useful feature. Having to beep through, minute-by-minute to set the timer is annoying. The old model had hour/minute/second buttons and no noise when running up the counter to set it. The alarm tone is really annoyingly loud. I miss my old timer and am pretty much sorry I bought this one.

West Bend timer can’t hear the timerI have used a old West Bend timer I purchased 10 years ago. You could hear when the timer went off.The new West Bend Timers I just purchased you can hardly hear the sound that the time is up. I am rating this product as a 3 because of the sound of the timer. Other wise the timer does exactly what I ordered for.

Love this timer! This is my second time I’ve purchased this item. My other one is well over ten years old. The display is starting to fade which is why I bought another one. I highly recommend this timer.

12 hour formatThis little timer works fine but I cannot figure out how to get it from 24 hour format to 12 hour format. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great timerI have been using these timers for many years. I only recently bought them on Amazon because I could no longer find them in stores near me. They have been fairly reliable and while a few have stopped working over the years I have several that have lasted for probably over 10 years. Over a period of time the clock may be off a touch but it is easy to reset and it is not as if it happens every day or even every week.

The Best, But Expensive And Not DurableI am about to buy my fourth one of these. In every case, the internal pressure pad for the Start/Stop button has worn out. This, of course, means the timer will no longer function. My current one, which is on its last legs, is 21 months old. I use it heavily. I would say I average pressing the Start/Stop button a minimum of ten times every day. Since I knew it was fragile, I have used the gentlest touch possible on this one, and still couldn’t even get two years out of it.The reason I say it’s the best is that it’s the only one that resets to the previous setting upon a second press of the Start/Stop button after you stop the timer. This allows me to leave a timer set at five minutes, something I use many times a day, and not have to push the Minute button five times every time I want to use it, like I would have to on other timers.I say it’s expensive because I have paid almost $29 for the previous ones I have bought. I am pleased to see the price has come way down. I hope that will last!15 Jun 2012 Update:I am hard of hearing. When I got my last timer, I could not hear it go off when not wearing my hearing aids, especially after the first few months. I just chalked it up to my hearing going downhill. Today I set up my new timer, and it is loud! Even without my hearing aids, it is loud enough to startle me. So my last one was clearly defective. I lived with it for 2 years without knowing. If your timer beep is not loud, return it and get one that works right! Also, re: another review, the magnet has come off the clip on all the timers I’ve owned except one. I agree that this is a design defect.

Nice and loud, works great, but not durableI purchased this item when it was on sale and thought it was great. On the pro side, the alarm is quite loud, so you’re sure to hear it. The display is fairly large and easy to read. You can even time more than one thing at a time.On the con side was the magnet on the back designed for putting it on the fridge. While that seems handy, I found that when I pushed the buttons when it was on the fridge, it would pull the magnet out of contact with the fridge, and the timer would fall on the floor.Unfortunately this happened one too many times. The timer was dead within a month of my purchase. I wouldn’t recommend it, or at least I wouldn’t use it while it’s stuck on the fridge.

Great Little TimerPros – you can click on the clock option when you’re timing or when the timer has finished. It’s great to have 3 different timers.Large display. It has a clip on the back so you can take it anywhere. You can set seconds in addition to minutes and hours. Great for timing eggs.Cons- if you leave the timer on the fridge, you can dislodge it when setting the timer because the magnet isn’t big enough/strong enough. If you want to set the timer for 15 minutes, you have to press the minute button 15 times. Long presses don’t rapid advance. This is my chief complaint.
