I wanted to go with this one over the other options available, as it has the steel braided hose as opposed to the plastic hose.
Setup is pretty easy, just make sure you install the hard white plastic washer in the end that attaches to your co2 tank. The smaller elastic one that is already in there is not functional. I made that mistake at the start, but you learn pretty quickly that it won’t work.
For the first little while, you may have to constantly re-tighten the end that attaches to your sodastream, but after a while that stopped for me. I haven’t had to touch it in quite some time.
Overall, this is a worthy investment to make so you don’t have to keep dropping $20 a pop swapping those proprietary tanks at the store.

One of the adaptors to the co2 tank malfunctioned and they kindly sent me a new part that works perfectly. Sparkling water is back on.

We bought this up use with a 5# CO2 tank because we love to drink carbonated water instead of soda.
We use a soda stream machine, but the amount we use it meant the cylinders were getting expensive.
When used with an aluminium tank, this all just screws together. We’ve used it daily (2-3 large bottles per day, heavily carbonated with 5-6 squirts of gas) and we haven’t run out yet months later.
We are careful to close the screw top on the tank after use, but so far, I haven’t noticed any leaks.
This came with spare washers which was a nice touch and the entire thing screwed together in minutes.
The hose is really sturdy braided hose and I’m going to drill the cabinets to allow me to hide the tank.
Feels like it will last for years.

This hose works as advertised. My sodastream is a little beat up from using the adapter for paintball CO2 tanks. So my sodastream’s threads aren’t perfect. It took a little time screwing in and unscrewing the hose end before it fit right snuggly into my sodastream without leaks. So you may have to fiddle with it a little bit, but mine works perfectly with no leaks and I do not shut off my tank between uses.
If you’re wondering if it would make financial sense for you to get one, my start-up costs were kind of high. I paid the cost of the hose plus $150 for a filled 20lb tank of CO2. Most of that cost is the tank deposit. Refills should be $30-40. So a 20lb refill costs less than returning 2 sodastream tanks at the grocery store and 2 sodastream tanks aren’t even 2lbs! From here on out, I’m basically getting 19lbs of CO2 for free whenever I refill. And I probably won’t have to refill for another 6-12 months!
It is expensive to start out with this setup, but for me it’s worth it. When I carbonate my water, I give it a lot of extra CO2 to make it extra bubbly. I never worry about wasting the CO2 or wondering if I’m going to have to shell out a ton of money at the grocery store for more sodastream tanks. This hose and a 20lb tank are perfect for me. So far it’s my favorite Amazon purchase of 2021.
Edit:
On average, I carbonate 3 water bottles per day. My first CO2 tank lasted me 8 months. I refilled it today and the refill cost $47.

After 2 weeks the pin fell right off, I tried pushing it back in and that didn’t work, it fell right off again, I tried opening up the connector piece to see what was inside and it was stuck firm tight.
It worked fine before that, I’m going to order another one and if it works for a long time I’l update the review.
Edit: the second hose is working well 2 weeks in so I updated my review to 4 stars.
Edit2: the second hose is still working a year later, but the pin is loose and it lets some air out into the sodastream while the tank valve is open. Not a big issue since I just have to turn off the tank between uses right away.

Was as described and easy to install
Straight Up –
I read mixed reviews for this adapter/hose kit. I looked at others with stainless lines, but they are significantly more expensive. I decided to take a chance on this one and I’m thrilled. It was super easy to install, it took me two minutes, and I now have a much better setup that should last a long time. The fizz is powerfull! I love it.
I bought a Sodastream Jet (kinda wish I had a Fizzy but oh well) and I’ve been using the included tank. If you enjoy seltzer/club soda this thing is everything it’s fan say it is. Rather than continue to use Sodastream cylinders I bought a 5lb CO2 cylinder on Amazon, had it filled locally at a restaurant beverage supply company, and purchased this adapter kit. The Sodastream tank finally ran out the other day, so today I connected my new tank with this adapter hose.
The hose kit includes clear instructions with pictures, and should you need them the kit includes extra gaskets for both ends of the hose. The quality of components is top notch. It even includes a quick connect adapter for the Sodastream end that makes it effortless to attach the adapter and hose to the unit itself.
My next purchase will probably be a 20lb CO2 tank, but I won’t need that for some time. If you have a Sodastream this kit is the way to go and I wouldn’t bother paying more. Ignore those people claiming it imparts an off flavor, it absolutely doesn’t. I suspect people that have issues with the taste aren’t buying their CO2 from a food grade CO2 supplier, that’s where you get your tank refilled, not at the local welding gas supplier. Anyway, I highly recommend this kit.

It works well now after getting a replacement adapter (the part that screws onto the SodaStream). Good customer service!

It’s exactly what it’s supposed to be. A hose for making
Amazon Customer –
This hose hooked up very easily to my Sodastream machine. I have not noticed any odd taste, but I am using a food grade co2 bottle, and I did let the co2 flow through the tube for a few seconds to flush it before connecting it and carbonating my water. I had been getting my Sodastream bottles refilled for several years at a local beverage supplier (the only one in my city that I found could refill them). It was about $7 compared to $20, but they can only refill older style bottles. My bottles were starting to leak, so they recommended setting up a larger co2 tank with an adapter like this. I’m looking forward to saving a lot of money now that I’m using a 5 lb. tank. I will be turning off the co2 tank between uses – it just seems like a good idea to prevent leaks in the tube or in my machine from the constant pressure. I will update my review if anything changes, but so far I am very happy with this product.
