This is a fun little appliance that gets the job done. I bought this when I lost the electric circuit that my microave sits on. Until the electric company can come out and go up their pole to replace their equipment, I needed something electric to heat some small things in. This appliance fits the bill.
I use it to prepare Mac n Cheese cups, the kind that you add water to the fill line and put in your microwave for a period of time. Instead of the microwave, I put the contents into this little pan and heat it that way. Comes out perfectly. I also heat water, and have cooked Klondike Flap Jack cups in it, same way. It all works out great. I have heated chili in it, too.
This little appliance heats stuff rapidly, much quicker than the microwave. So far, I have no issues at all of getting the food out of the pan, and the cooking surface stays clean. Even if it appears that something is cooked on, it’s not. Just fool with it a little, and the whole bottom will come out intact, at once, and you can eat that, too.
This appliance is small. It isn’t going to cook a lot at once, but for spot meals, or tiny meals, it works. The one thing that I would caution on is the heat. This thing gets HOT. The lid has a steam vent which it would behoove you to rotate away from the tab handle in order to keep the tab from cooking your fingers. Which is not to say that the tab doesn’t get hot. It does. You may have to employ a hot pad, or some cloth something that you can use on the tiny tab to pick the pan up. The pan is easy to lift off of the heating element.
There are no other handles to move the pan around, and none on the body of the unit itself. You have to teach yourself to move slowly and carefully around the appliance, and make sure that the body is not touching anything lest it melt a cord or something. Do not let paper products touch the body while in use, for safety. The 260 watts heat up quickly and impressively.
There is no on/off button. Your on/off button is the electric plug. This is okay, because you have to remain with the appliance while in use, and you will be forced to unplug it when done cooking. So, that works out. The only criticism I have is the little blue light which indicates that the appliance is on. It can barely be seen, and you have to cup your fingers around the light to see it working. You have to be careful not to touch the body of the appliance in order to avoid a burn.
One feature I especially like is the fact that the lid is clear glass, which enables you to see the food inside and what is happening to it.
It is very easy to clean. There are actually TWO cooking surfaces to use; I do not plan to use the lower level one because I think you can only use one at a time, anyway, and the top one is sufficient. The lower one is not detachable and underneath that is where the electronics would be, so I don’t plan to use it. But, I could. The surface on the top is deeper but a tad smaller. No big deal.
All in all, I am not sorry I bought this appliance. It is getting me through a hard time, and every little bit of convenience we can get is important.

It definitely is much smaller than expected, however it heats up incredibly quickly and does an excellent job. I got this because I’m working from home and can cook at my desk while I work.
So far I’ve made meatballs, sliced sausages and over easy eggs. Honestly surprised it fit that many meatballs. Easy to use and doesn’t take up much space.
I took off a star for the size, but for a single person it’s really great over all. Very pleased with this purchase! 🙂
Edit: Ive just made ramen in it and it holds much more liquid than i thought it would. Went back in to boil a tiny bit more water after but it was fast and my meal was amazing. 5 stars!

I ordered 1 of these each + a mini electric skillet & a mini griddle for my 10 yr old granddaughter & my nephew’s dorm room. I am not comfortable with my granddaughter operating my gas range & of course a college student needs compact appliances in a dorm room. They all work very well. My granddaughter has mastered cooking several things in this little cooker…noodles, oatmeal, grits & ravioli (we don’t really microwave anything though we do own a microwave). I have decided these 3 small appliances will now be my standard freshman in college gift as well as any pre-teens trying to learn their way around the kitchen gift.

I bought this to cook on layovers where I get in late and have to leave early. It gets hot in less than 2 mins and can fit 1 large egg with enough room for another one if it was overlapped. You also need to wait a while for it to cool down before packing it back up.
I just tested it out at home, but still need to see how it performs on the road. For now, it looks good!

I haven’t had it long, just over a week, but have used daily and more than that a couple of days. I have used both parts and it works well. It is the perfect size for a single person, a person doing portion control or just has a smaller appetite, and anyone who is short on space. Guys, if you eat cornbread or crackers with your chilli this will be large enough for you too. Precisely using a measuring cup, the bottom will hold just over half a cup which is good for sausage links, eggs, etc. The top holds a cup and a half and both of these measurements left enough room so the part of the lid that goes inside would not get dirty. Depending on what you are preparing (not using the lid) you could go up to a quarter of a cup higher. Because it is 5 inches in diameter, I was able to prepare two average size hot dogs in the bottom.
I would not only recommend this but their other products as well. I have the waffler and the griddle and by using two of them at the same time I can make a good and filling meal for two.
When using the bottom especially for something with grease in it like meat (sausage etc) it is like the griddle with no place for grease to drain. If you cook those items in a skillet or on a griddle they will sit in the grease after being cooked until being removed. Always drain your finished meat on a paper napkin or towel laid on the plate. To clean it is just like on the stove–pour off the excess grease into a container, and clean as usual. Sooo easy. Being non-stick, often a wipe will do it.
For larger appetites or two people having say a dinner, this would work fine if you have anything on the side such as a salad, bread, fruit, etc. or a side dish. For a lighter meal or snack and depending on what you make, it is more than adequate.
Buy it and enjoy using it.

I work from home and, due to chronic medical issues, I try to sleep as long as possible, and I can quickly put together scrambled eggs with onions and cheese in a couple of minutes. I can put the mini skillet close to me and when it is ready, I can unplug it and eat out of the small pot that the eggs are cooked in between calls.
It is a bit small, but I can scramble two eggs and liquid to it. I haven’t added any meat, yet, but I have added potatoes. The food is tasty. The bottom part can be easily used to fry eggs or even hamburger patties. This would be great for a dorm room.
It has a non stick coating, but it does need a bit of oil. The skillet areas are.easy to clean. The lid is more of a challenge and needs some soaking time. The lid is the only thing I dislike about the item because if the eggs rise too much then it gets inside the lid because it has too much space between the rim and the edges of the glass, that is not a big deal though.

This is perfect for a dorm or studio apartment or even office. Gets hot quick! Is perfect for one serving. Makes 1 pack of ramen or one regular size can of soup or ravioli. I love it and the skillet underneath is the perfect size for a burger or small steak. Come with a lid which helps the water boil even quicker. The only down size is it takes forever to cool down and with the material it’s hard to clean but I highly recommend!

Being a single senior I appreciate not having to dirty multiple pans to make simple dinners. This is awesome and helps me keep my kitchen clean so I can use my time on more fun activities rather than cleaning!

It’s pretty small so I wouldn’t recommend using this for cooking an adult-sized meal. However, I purchased this so that my little one could learn how to cook without having to use a stove and being too close to a large cooking element or flame. The silicone or rubber handles get very hot and so does the outside shell of the cooking element (the yellow part). There’s often a heating plastic smell that comes off of it and the non-stick surface started sticking after 2 or 3 uses. We never used anything that could scratch the surface and only used mini silicone spatulas. Wouldn’t recommend this for adults or children…I have no idea who this is made for.
