Great Birthday Gift!I gifted this to my step daughter who is 7, she loves dippin dots! There are so many parts to this, but this made it so much fun! The best part about it, is that she could pick what flavor she wanted to use!

A lot of work for not much ice creamVery disappointed. Box didn’t come with any recipes and nearly impossible to find any online. A lot of parts to wash and prep, but didn’t yield much ice cream. All the little aperture holes were so tiny it took forever for liquid to ooze through, I just ended up pouring everything from mixing bowl to mold. Dots were so tough to remove from the mold, came out mostly as a big blob or melted before reaching the serving bowl

Just not the same as the real thingMy kids (and husband) are obsessed with dippin dots so they bought this to make them at home. It’s just not the same. We made some with some juice and they froze in little ball form but were all stuck together in a flat line. The kids had fun pouring the Ingredients in and making them but the end product was lacking.

Wish it was betterTaking it out the box everything looked ok except for the fact that it doesn’t bring any mixing flavors. ((I know it doesn’t say it was going to bring any but I was being hopeful)) I washed all the items before use. Got the mixers that my kids wanted. The device and bottles were hard to use, the buttons kept getting stuck and the liquid mix kept leaking. I made sure everything was on tight but would still leak everywhere. I had a mess of chocolate milk everywhere. My kids were unable to push the buttons to dispense liquids so I did it. Putting it in the little plastic pieces was not that bad, feel like the liquid completely froze in two hours… I haven’t taken it out to try to yet but hopefully it won’t be so bad.

Dippin dotsThis was a gift to a 10 year old. He used it often and became confident in serving others. This is a good item for children who appreciate having a finished product that is comsumable, and need not be stored or dusted, or bathed and fed… It teaches them to follow directions, and some social skills in sharing with others. ( It also provides parents with an idea of how interested the child is in the area of kitchen creations.)

kid loves itI read the previous descriptions so I knew that the product was going to be a little chinsey. Remember that the flavors DO NOT come with this purchase – it is simply the machine itself. It is not easy to get the frozen dip and dots out of the containers and they do not look like real dip and dots whatsoever, but it is very fun for the child

Don’t buy it…I bought this for my 7 year old after she begged me for it for Christmas and her birthday. Don’t buy it! It was a hassle to use. We made mixes for each of the containers at one time. After using one container we moved to the second. Unfortunately, this mix had already stared to gel (almost like instant pudding) and would not come out of the spout let alone fill up those little dots. We had more on the table and the outside of the tray than actually in the tray. I bought every flavor they had. Unfortunately, we won’t be using them. After freezing the dots my child’s first comment was,”Mommy those aren’t dots.” Children really expect them to look like the nitrogen frozen Dippin’ Dots; far from it! They don’t come out as dots at all. Rather, they come out all connected together in the shape of the trays. Parents you’re better off buying and making the those old popsicle molds. Those are hassle free and much easier to consume!

Dippin Dots FunThis was a collectors set that my son just had to have. The prices are set to reflect that, but the overall quality of the set is solid. It doesn’t quite make great dippin dots per say, but is still fun.
