Freezes Too Hard!I can’t figure out exactly how to use this. I tried it with yogurt, and it freezes too hard to eat. Takes hours to soften.

Super easy once you get the hang of it & works with stevia & monk fruit etc.I got this for my grandchildren, five and three years old, but they’re too young to really stick with it and to understand that you have to keep scraping the sides and bottom. No problem because I can have a nice soft serve in just a matter of minutes and if I keep adding a little of my ice cream mix to the bowl I get enough for them and me as they don’t generally eat a lot of sweets so a little is all they really want.I find the mixture really starts hardening up on the sides as soon as you pour it in. I pour in about a quarter cup and immediately start scraping the sides and bottom with a small stainless steel children’s spoon and not with the plastic spoon thing that came with it as overall we don’t use plastic items. The spoon hasn’t scratched the surface and works great. Once the ice cream starts to thicken I then add more mixture and go at the sides and bottom again and it all combines and helps the new mixture to freeze up fast. I do this about two to four more times as I usually get a nice soft serve to dish up to the kids right away. Right away is less than ten minutes.I’d read that this won’t work with different sweeteners but it works great for me with Pyrue sweetener which is an organic blend of erythritol and stevia and it works with monk fruit powder. I haven’t tried sugar as I don’t buy sugar. I usually have just plain vanilla ice cream but I’ve added cocoa for really good chocolate ice cream and cherries for cherry ice cream. It’s easy to make up a mixture and to add anything you want once it starts getting a little hard. I haven’t tried a sorbet yet or frozen yogurt.I liked this enough to buy another one even though the kids aren’t really into it as young as they are. It’s nice to have one in the freezer ready to go while the other one dries. It’s also nice to have a stainless steel method to make your homemade ice cream that can match up to many store-bought brands. A little organic cream, organic milk, organic sweetener, a dash of Himalayan salt and a little bit of scraping and mixing and I’m a happy organic grandmother.

Fun!I had fun with this product and it’s exciting to experiment but hard to clean. The product comes apart easily which can be a good thing or bad thing. I like using greek yogurt and protein powder in it! Sounds weird but tastes great

Fun easy ice cream makerLove this ice cream maker. It’s small and easy to use. Takes up very little space in the freezer. Makes the perfect single serving size, about 6 oz. And it’s very affordable. For best results keep the freezing bowl in the freezer, so that it is always ready for use when you have a craving for a cold sweet treat, but can’t get to the store, or maybe you want to make your own flavour.Several recipes are provided, or you can use your own.Once you’ve mixed your ice cream base, take the bowl from the freezer and pour in the mixture. Quickly mix with the Provided spoon. The creamy blend becomes a nice soft serve ice cream in a few minutes. Can be put in freezer to become firmer.Great purchase if you want to make ice cream, but don’t have room for a large machine, or you just like to make a single serving.

Great for Small Size Ice Cream BatchesI love this thing. I am able to make customized batches of ice cream on the fly.The manual says 5oz is recommended but you can do 8oz. Also the manual gives you a few recipes but for numerous batches. What this means is, you will have to store that in your fridge until your next batch and the Zoku will require some freezer time in between. So if you plan on making 10 servings of the same thing, that’s OK I guess…If you want to make a small single serve base you can do 1/3 cup heavy cream, 1/3 cup milk, 2 1/2 Tablespoons of Sugar, and a pinch of salt. Add in whatever else you want from there (couple drops of vanilla extract, cocoa powder, etc)Add Mix In’s ONLY when the ice cream begins to form especially if it’s cookies or something, otherwise they will get mushy and loose the crunch.I hope these tips help!

Great for a keto or low carb diet!! 😋Like most here I wanted low carb ice cream without needing to make a gallon. I’m on a keto / low carb diet and can only have 20 grams a day. This is perfect! Ice cream came out great! And I can enjoy a treat with my kids. It was ready in less than 10 minutes and fun to make. My ice cream came out to 8 grams of carbs for 1 serving. I made Caramel Cheesecake Ice Cream. 😋Here are my ingredients – this makes 2-3 servings, so I put about half away in the fridge to make ice cream again tomorrow:Caramel Cheesecake Ice Cream8oz Cream Cheese (softened to room temp)1/2 cup of heavy cream1/4 cup waterTorani sugar free caramel syruppinch of salt1tsp vanilla extractWhip the heavy cream with a mixer until you get soft peaks. Throw in the softened cream cheese. Add in the water, Torani, salt and vanilla as you mix. Mix on high until smooth. Done! Stick it in the fridge for like an hour or more to get cold. Then grab your Zoku and put 1/3 to half of it in the bowl and mix mix. Ice cream in less than 10 mins.Enjoy!

Great for quick and easy frozen yogurtThis is my new favorite kitchen gadget. Super simple in concept and design (it really is just a fancy frozen bowl), but it does make a delicious product. I have been using this to make a frozen yogurt for dessert almost every night since I purchased it last month. I have not tried making ice cream yet as I have been too lazy to make and keep a base. Plus, the frozen yogurt really is delicious and makes a dessert with a thick and scoopable ice-cream consistency that is also far healthier. I highly recommend this product as long as you know what you are getting. You must not mind a few minutes of scraping/mixing. You must also be satisfied with a single (and sometimes a little bonus) serving. Here is my routine:1/2 cup of my favorite yogurt with fruit chunks (fat free and reduced fat work just fine)3-4 tablespoons of yogurt drink (I use store bought kefir)1 squirt of agave syrup to tasteI mix the above ingredients in a cup so that it’s smooth. i make sure to add enough kefir or milk to make a thin pancake batter consistency. I also mix in other things such as frozen berries, chocolate chips, nuts. Then I pour this into the frozen bowl and scrape the sides down immediately. I found using yogurt gives me ice cream very quickly and with a thicker consistency. That’s really it! In a few minutes, you have frozen yogurt!

Almost good.It does make a couple of servings of soft served ice cream: note my freezer is set at 0°F.I like the silicone ring around the outer lip for scraping ice cream off. The size is just right. This is a great option for people with diabetes to make low carb no sugar ice cream because stores/brands don’t specialize in that market. The only con I can see is the outer bowl doesn’t stay connected to the rim of the inner bowl so the inner bowl moves around a lot. It seems like the inner bowl expands after freezing and then becomes too tall for the outer bowl to hold steady.
