Boska Mini Raclette Oven – Great for Date Night
Discover fun and delicious racelette with the double Raclette Mini from the Pro Collection. Perfect for 2 people on a cold fall or winter evening, this set includes 2 enamel pans, 2 spatulas, and a removable grillplate. The name ‘Raclette’ comes from the French word ‘racler’, which means to ‘scrape’. The cheese is heated on one side, and then scraped onto potatoes potatoes, pickles and onions. After about 3-4 servings, a crispy crust appears on the edges of the cut surface which is then cut off with the sharp side of the raclette knife and served along with the raclette. The Taste is unbeatable.

Good but heats to fast!!It’s a good device to use for max 2 people. Very easy to use but the thing is there is no button to control the heat and it is very hot!!! So be careful to put thin slice of raclette otherwise it will only cook the outside part and not the inside part. 4 stars

Really fun to useThis is the perfect size for one or two people. It heated up quickly and melted a little square of cheese perfectly. While I wouldn’t use it to cook raw meat, I did find that it kept pre-cooked veggies and meat warm. Overall, a very fun way to have a grilled meal!

Perfect for one or twoI bought this grill as a Christmas present and my husband was dubious at first. His reaction was kind of like, “Oh! An appliance. How thoughtful?” But once we got some raclette, filet mignon and asparagus on this sucker he changed his tune.The grill is lightweight, and feels a little flimsy (hence the 4 stars), and I worry that if I don’t treat it with the utmost respect while cleaning it the nonstick surface will scratch and wear out over time. So far we’ve used the grill about four times and it doesn’t show any problems, though, and for the price it’s about what I expected.It’s not the most powerful, so it will take some time to cook meats and raw veggies on the grill surface. But that’s OK because raclette and other cheeses toast beautifully and quickly in the toasting rack, so you can whet your appetite while you wait. Or if you’re just going the cheesy route, the grill is perfect for toasting bread while your cheese transforms into gooey goodness.If you’re looking for something to add a little novelty to a special occasion meal, this grill is perfect for couples or singles. If youwant something you’ll use often or for more people, go for one of Boska Holland’s larger grills.

Perfect for 2 peopleWe really love the little raclette. Just what we needed for 2 people. The cheese is melting pretty good, the meat on top didn’t do too good though. I think it doesn’t get hot enough. It’s easy to clean and doesn’t take up a lot of space.

Easy, fast, clean.I was a bit worried by the low price but it was perfect.It melts the cheese without burning it under a minute. The grill on top is nice too. I wouldn’t use it to cook raw things. However it’s really nice for already cooked meats.It’s not your top of the line product, but per dollar spent this is better.It’s not radiating super warmth, you could stay close to it. I would recommend.

Very ConvenientI got this last winter and have used it a bunch – it’s really convenient, and comes with little plastic spatulas to get the cheese out of the little pans without scratching the non-stick surface. I already had a large raclette maker (8 person) which took too much space on my kitchen table, got too hot, and was inconvenient to dig out of the cabinet (ok, i’m lazy), and I rarely have 8 people over wanting raclette.It’s a great compact size and can be used for 4 people since each person doesn’t need a slice of cheese melting at all times. The on/off switch is convenient so you don’t have to get up and unplug it during the meal if you’re still eating, but done with melting raclette, and it heats up quickly too if you change your mind. I wanted the on/off switch since my last raclette maker would boil everyone at the table as though we were sitting next to an open fire, however there was no such problem with the mini raclette. The raclette was melted quickly and perfectly. Also, though the top grill is small, I just put the pot (medium size) of boiled potatoes right on top, and it kept them hot (keep a tiny bit of water in the bottom of the pot).

A cute functional raclette grill!This grill is great for raclette cheese! It melts it evenly and quickly and it is easy to empty the cheese out of the tray. It is also very easy to clean up! Love it

Just like in Switzerland!We just returned from Switzerland and wanted to recreate the raclette experience at home. We are just two of us, and have a small kitchen, so we purchased the Boska Mini Raclette. Used it for the first time last night with Swiss raclette cheese. The machine was just like we had in a small restaurant in Switzerland! It melted the cheese perfectly, and was a snap to clean up. With a small salad, cornichons, pickled onions and a bottle of white wine, we were back in Switzerland. A fast, easy meal with almost no cleanup. Machine was exactly as promised, worked like a charm, and could even accommodate 3 or 4 persons, if each is willing to wait a few minutes for his/her turn. Melting a 1/3″ thick slice of cheese takes no more than two minutes once machine is warmed up.Now 5 years later! We continue to use the mini-raclette every month or two. It still works perfectly and we highly recommend it!

Intimate, relaxed Raclette enjoymentThis is for 1 to 2 people ideally and possibly up to 4 people, if waiting a just a little is not an issue. But then Raclette was never meant to be an “eat and run” concept. It does the job, melts the cheese perfectly and offers non-stick grilling for thinner cuts of meat and veggies with super easy cleanup by hand (I never use harsh dishwashing detergents on a non-stick surface as it diminishes its life-span). It is a 500 watt unit so it is neither a George Foreman nor Cuisinart, but because of its small size, the power is ample. Perfect for smaller kitchens with minimal storage. This Raclette, a nice wine, soft music and good conversation and life almost seems normal again.

Melt. Cheese.For 1-3 people, this is a great raclette oven. It works just as well as the larger 6-8 person models, just smaller. The top grill works great too. It is a fantastic model for a single person, couple, or even 3 people who are willing to trade off. The timing really works out fine that way. Love it.
