A good general purpose mixerI purchased my first one of these 5 1/2 years ago. It still works well, but I’m having a problem inserting one of the beaters. This may be because my husband didn’t know that it had an eject button. He has been pulling the beaters out. I use it a couple of times a week; usually for cakes & frostings. The dough hooks are best for cookie dough. I wouldn’t use it for bread dough. I just replaced this with the exact same model. I looked at more expensive mixers, but this wattage is good for most things, it has a low speed, & a heel rest. I store it in a plastic shoe box, so I don’t really need one that comes with it’s own case. This is affordable, reliable & durable. I hope this helps.

Good mixerGood mixer. Handles thick, dense dough well. Wished the handle would be a little more sturdy. It kind of jiggles around when you’re mixing. But still holding up. Would recommend.

Good little hand mixerI love this little mixer. It’s easy to use and doesn’t get hot during use like my last one did. The beaters are very sturdy and strong and the speed is great. The only issues I have are the rust spots that started after only one washing, and you have to guess at which beater goes in which hole. There is a pic on the mixer itself indicating there should be a difference in the beaters, but mine are exactly the same and one beater doesn’t click in like it should. The release button doesn’t seem to work too well either. But even with those few quirks, I still like the mixer.

Flimsy and didn’t last longAfter 5 months (with only occasional use) the motor is wearing out. My previous one made by Braun lasted many years. I originally bought this Betty Crocker hand mixer because it had dough hooks but they are so flimsy they weren’t up to the job. I could say the same about the beaters. I do not recommend it.

For the price – It’s ExcellentIt can mix cookie batter MOST of the time. And that sh…stuff is hard to mix with a hand mixture.Spend more and you’ll get more torque, but for the most part, this one works for most batters. And is all I need and I do bake a lot. Hence my large and lovely stoma….. personality!

Strong motor, beaters fit securely and easy to grip handleI am so happy this little mixer. It’s not too heavy, has good power and I find the handle easy to grip. I like the flat bladed beaters so much better than those new wire ones other blenders have. They mix much better. The beaters are easy to pop in and out and fit securely too. I bought this product to replace a more expensive brand that was too heavy, had a weak motor and those sad wire beaters. I WELL worth buying in my book.

Arrived Questionably Used? But…It’s Great!Arrived with the box very busted/opened, possibly used from someone else and shoved in an envelope and sent out to me or badly damaged in transit. On the *plus* side, I was given a partial refund from Amazon (appreciated) and it does work fine. It was on backorder forever so I kept it. I really like the dough beaters that come with this; cream cheese/thicker baking doesn’t get stuck in them whatsoever which is great. The blender itself isn’t very heavy which is perfect for me, and it didn’t seem to overheat at all when I used it making a few recipes in a row. It is corded, powered by an outlet. The blender itself I recommend.

An outstanding, quality product!Wow! What a powerful hand mixer! We make New Orleans style Pralines and after cooking them to the ‘soft boil’ stage, we add nuts and butter and have to beat the mixture until it thickens. This Betty Crocker Hand Mixer makes this a breeze! The praline mixture thickened up in no time. We both have arthritis in our hands and this mixer is ergonomically designed to be so painless to hold. It wasn’t difficult or tiring to hold this powerful mixer. The beaters go all the way to the bottom of the bowl, which is a real plus. Where has this mixer been all the years I’ve struggled with inferior hand mixers?!! As with all mixers, be sure to have the mixer unplugged when inserting and removing beaters. Haven’t used the dough mixers yet, so can’t comment on them. We can highly recommend this mixer!

Great value.I have been using this regularly for over six months. I’m a celiac so make gluten free breads, cakes, cookies etc at least twice a week.I’m really thrilled with how long this has held up. It cant do my heavy breads that require long periods of mixing but quick breads and biscuits that are heavy but I can do 30 second bursts do great or cake batters that require 3-4 minutes of sustained mixing also are not too much for the mixer.I love having dough hooks along with the beaters, it makes my life so much easier. The release button sucks and I usually need to grasp the utensils for removal to wash but that beats them falling out into the batter, lolSo great price and excellent value.

Inconvenient eject button and low power overallI have a custom cake/cupcake business, and still like to mix my batter with hand mixer. My Black & Decker mixer of 20 years finally died and I bought this as a replacement. I liked the “old style” tall beaters. The previous reviews are correct, in that the low speed is indeed “low” and will not cause a big splatter. However, the high speed wasn’t very powerful and there is no turbo boost option on this mixer. Also, the beater eject button is the notch AFTER full power. You have to turn the mixer off, unplug, then push the lever through the power levels to the eject setting. They do not come out easily. And then, (because I didn’t), you have to remember to turn the power lever back down to the off position before you plug it back in.I found it very inconvenient and annoying. I have returned this mixer and spend $10 more for a Hamilton Beach model with much more power, separate turbo button and an eject option that isn’t in the power setting.
