Granny likes it so much that she calls it The Little ChampOrdered this for my granny after she did A LOT of research. She wanted this one because of the strength of the motor and where it was manufactured. She LOVES IT! As mentioned in the heading, she has even given it a name: The Little Champ. (I am currently eating a chocolate chip cookie that she just made using it.) Great purchase that will last and last. She says she’s sure it will outlast her — her last one lasted 40 years, so I guess that might be possible!

The Braun Mix-Master 9-speed is an improvement over the original 3-speed modelI have used a previous model for eons, but the speed control broke and I could only get “High” speed, which meant everything splattered and or got over-beaten. And then there was the long term disconcerting design flaw in chopper bowl /little mini food processor. The food processor attachment worked great, and was a huge addition to the mixer’s capabilities, but it was designed in such a way that when you washed the part that attached to the mixer, the part in direct contact with food, water seeped inside the unit and you could not get it out. It was stuck in there with no way to release it. It always worried me that the germs that must have built up inside were going to get into the food. Obviously it didn’t worry me enough to toss the unit… but it was a design flaw, or I was just unable to open the unit to clear the water. The newer 9-speed Mix-master fixed the problem. The new chopper bowl/food processor attachment is so easy to clean. The entire attachment has been redesigned. The top portion that attaches to the mixer is completely open and washable, no places for water to creep inside, because there is no “inside.” The bowl has a larger capacity and a nicer shape, with a foot and removable, washable gasket. As for the mixer itself, it’s the same overall great portability and functionality, but the speed control is better. I love having a range of speeds that you can set yourself instead of the usual High-Medium-Low settings. It is reasonably well balanced, but it is a tad heavier than the previous model and so that’s harder on me with my weak upper body strength and arthritic hands. It’s not enough more weight that I would return the unit, but it’s not as light as the other model I had, the regular Mix-Master Plus. Also, the white units are hard to locate, and this time I was only able to purchase a black mixer, but otherwise I still rate this an improved unit.

Powerful Hand MixerThis little hand mixer has lots of power and mixes even the thickest of batters etc. I couldn’t give it 5 stars only because the cord can get in the way and the mixer is a bit heavy. But I’m sure the mixer is heavy because of the 350 watts of power. Also, the food processor is not the best. It doesn’t chop completely. I tried to chop walnuts and there were various sized pieces. Some pieces were very finely ground while others where still too big. But all in all, I am satisfied with this mixer and it will meet my needs.

Fantastic productWe needed a new hand mixer and decided on this one. Love the ease of use and very easy to clean. The very powerful motor comes in very useful for heavy dough and the 9 speeds is very useful!!!

Quality & EaseWhen I had to replace my hand mixer (15+ years old), I wanted to replace it with the same brand and model. But you know how that usually goes…. They no longer make that model but they have a new and improved model which is much better. Well, I prayed the quality would still be the same and I was gratefully pleased to find this was true. The motor is quieter, the mixer is lighter, and the ease of dialing the motor speed was new to me but so much better than the one I had. Braun lived up to my expectations and I’m so glad I didn’t go with any other brand. Quality speaks for itself. Would definitely recommend this hand mixer

Great overall mixer with chopperSo to be sure this is my second Braun Multimix. I was the proud owner of their 880 version that is many years old and I have been looking for a suitable replacement as getting parts for the older one is difficult. When I saw this one available I was thinking it is the answer. I thought the old attachments would work with this new model, but sadly only the beater bars do. The stick and chopper cup attachments from the older version of the Braun Multimix do not work with this newer version. With all that aside let’s talk about the new one.The GoodThe upgraded motor is excellent where the older model would get extremely hot after prolonged use. This one is cool and much quieter. Also did not have to go to full power to get the same job done as where the older one you had to go full. They have added dough hooks which is a good addition. The redesigned chopper cup is quieter and larger capacity than the old model. The BadNo immersion stick available in the US yet. Think that may be coming next year some time.A little pricey in comparison to other mixers, but the last Multimix I had lasted over 15 years. So if all stays the same then diffinitely well worth the price.Overall this one is much improved over the older Multimix and 5 stars from me.

Great mixer.Best handmixer that doesn’t have dry mix blowback around the bowl, speed is controllable, & noise level is low.Got one for my daughter who is not a scratch baker too.
