Does not have enough power to mash potatoes or mix cookie dough.Extremely disappointed with this. I read a review on this mixer and it got good reviews. I have owned Braun appliances before and was always happy. This product is well below standard and I am sorry I purchased. Can’t even mash potatoes, make cookie dough without the motor whining and doing a poor job. Tried the dough hooks and that was impossible

Great Mixer-Skip The ChopperThe mixer itself is definitely one of the best ones I’ve ever used. The speed selection actually has a good variety and is easy to do with one hand which I appreciate. I find the lowest speed just a tiny bit fast still but that is personal preference. The dough hooks handled a thick double batch of banana bread batter just fine. I used the whisks to make a cake without any trouble. The whisk attachments have enough space between them to stop your butter or other sticky ingredients from getting stuck in there and creating a mess to scrape out.I do think the claims for more power and faster mixing are true because I was able to cream the heavy ingredients much quicker than with my other hand mixer.I don’t find the chopping cup that useful. I already have a full sized food processor so for me a cup that can’t chop anything harder than nuts and has no other attachments was not needed. I do think I would have found it useful years ago when I was just learning to bake and didn’t yet have a kitchen stocked with fun gadgets. For kid just moving out on their own this might be a really handy for them.My biggest surprise was honestly the lack of storage for this unit. Even many of the off-brand mixers around now come with a storage base. All this comes with is a small black bag for the mixing attachments which I don’t need. I keep my attachments in my baking drawer along with the measuring cups, etc. The cup doesn’t fold down or anything for storage either so the whole system takes up a good bit of space all together. A base to keep everything together would have been nice. All in all I think it’s a good machine and I think holiday baking will be much easier this year when I’m knee deep in buttercream.

Impressive powerful mixer and we are very pleased! The media could not be loaded.
This is the best hand mixer we’ve had! My wife uses this mainly for baking cakes and is very happy with its performance.Things she likes about this mixerCompact and delicate design, easy to use, clean, and store. It comes with a black bag for storing attachments but she likes to keep them in the drawer with all other baking tools.Well-balanced and lightweight, She likes that the weight is toward the front part which keeps most of the weight in the mixing bowl instead of on her, and with a soft rubber grip, it’s comfortable to hold.Great speed range settings with simple dial control, it has 9 speeds and a turbo, she loves its low-speed settings, very gentle start, and no more ingredients flying out of the mixing bowl.Beater heads are thin wire and have a unique shape and she thinks that’s what makes them mix very efficiently, they cover the whole bowl of ingredients well like the side and the bottom. and the hexagon and circle shape base make it easy to know which one goes where.Dough hooks, so far she only uses them to make tortillas and buns which works great.Very powerful but not loud and noisy! It beats egg white to stiff peaks with a few speed adjustments just in a few mins and the motor is still cool and not loud at all.Nice size chopper for our needs, we already have a big food processor which we are usually so lazy to take out, and a tiny chopper that is only good for 1 big onion, so this size is great for things like avocado sauce or Pico de Gallo which we make all the time. 😀The only thing she is unsure of is how durable the plastic part of the attachment heads is since we only owned it for a couple of months now.She loves this hand mixer and definitely would choose this one again, saving time and effort baking with it!I sincerely hope that you would find this review helpful.

Residential useThis is definitely residential use for two people or so and it is not suitable for dinner parties either. The mixer works well and you should be able to tackle the baking recipe requirements without much resistance. I am not sure about the chopper function and that it can be very frustrating trying to turn it on and off multiple times and still seeing bigger pieces present.

Love that it has a chopping featureThis lightweight mixer is an awesome addition to my small kitchen appliances. The settings are easy to adjust with the speed dial, and the unit is powerful. Not only does it mix but it chops. I have used this to mix cake batter, brownie batter, mashed potatoes, and to chop up the ingredients for Pico de Gallo. All of the mixing and chopping was done with ease. I like that it comes with a variety of attachments and a bag to store the accessories. The cord is long, but I’d prefer that it be a little longer. Overall, a great mixer that would be a great addition to any kitchen.

Exactly what I neededBusted this Braun out for the first time a few weeks back to make some banana bread. My old hand mixer was one I got at dollar general for I believe $20 bucks, so this is a huge upgrade. And now that i have used this I will never go back to cheaper ones!First the beater design of this is awesome! The beaters have really thin metal that doesn’t have any crevices for better to get stuck in. So cleaning them is a breeze, plus I don’t feel like I’m loosing a ton of batter, even when making cookie dough.I have mixed feelings about the turn dial style speed settings though. It’s smooth and easy to turn, but I have a hard time turning it with the same hand I am using to hold the mixer. It’s not a huge deal but nothing as smooth and easy as one I could use just one hand for.The overall quality is definitely nice. The mixer itself is sturdy and seams well made. It’s also easy and comfortable to hold. As for the power, this thing is definitely powerful and can really get up there in speed. It can easily handle even very thick dough without being bogged down. You get a velvet black bag to hold the beaters and dough mixers in which is nice. To bad they didn’t include one that could fit the whole hand mixer in it as well. Overall very happy with this!

Such a nice mixer, very impressive!I’ve had my old mixer for years until it broke few weeks ago. Got this one to replace it and am very impressed. It is very easy to use and is very powerful. I like mixing sponge cake batter in this, and different kinds of frosting. I also used the chopper twice to process cookies to make cake pops, worked so well!! I was impressed and super happy I didn’t need to take out my big processor for such a small job. Overall very happy with it!!

Light weight yet powerfulToday I’m looking at the Braun MultiMix hand mixer, and I have to say, I like what I see. This unit is a fairly light weight but powerful hand-held mixer, that also comes with a 2-cup chopper. In my usage with it, we have no issue mixing things like brownie batter or bread dough, and the chopper did just fine as well, even if I did wish it could handle more than two cups.I’ll admit, I was a bit unsure about the concept of the MultiWhisk, but after a few uses I became a believer. I’m also a fan of how easy it is to switch speeds on this unit, as the dial turns effortlessly, but is in a position where it shouldn’t ever accidentally be hit. Finally, switching attachments is about as easy as it comes, you won’t find yourself fighting with it, but they also will never come off on their own, which is a good thing. All in all, I am happy to recommend this mixer!

Light and PortableThis is a nice little hand mixer that comes with a bunch of accessories. It has typical mixing blades as well as ones that you can use for dough. I really like the food processor that comes with it since you have the option of plugging that blade into the mixer instead of getting out a whole separate appliance. Also the holes for the blades are covered when not in use so food doesn’t get into them. The mixer fits nicely in my hand and is light and easy to maneuver. There are a bunch of controls and you can change the speed easily. The only drawback is the whisk attachments feel thin and a little cheap. They’ve held up well so far though and are easier to clean than heavier metal ones.

Good power for mixingThe Braun HM5130WH MultiMix Hand Mixer is foremost a mixer and a powerful one at that. I use the mixer for making whipped cream and some hand mixers I have tried struggle at the task, while this one handles it in no time. I really like that this mixer also doubles as a 2-cup chopper and it does that task well. Great for chopping up nuts for a recipe, no need to drag out the food processor for smaller tasks anymore.
