Not real chrome but plastic chrome.Great product, easy to use and very prompt arrival. My wife purchased it to replace and update a mixer she had previously owned. She thought it was chrome, but only plastic chrome. She likes it, but was greatly disappointed that it was only plastic.

Total Piece of GarbageWhat can you say about a hand mixer that breaks the first time you use it (without resorting to obscenities)? And what was I doing when it broke? Whipping cream. That’s right, this is a mixer that can’t stand up to the stress of whipping cream. Look at how the tangs of the whisk are “attached” to the stem. They just sort of pop in–and then, of course, pop right out. I suppose this is what I deserve for buying an appliance based solely on its looks, but when you spend the amount of money this thing costs you expect some sort of basic competence from the manufacturer. Don’t repeat my mistake. Don’t buy this piece of $#%!

Looks and feels cheapThe price of this product is misleading. Once you hold it your hand it feels and looks cheap like a $20 mixer. I returned it and bought for a 1/5 of the price a much better mixer.
