Where is my old mixer??Very awkward to use. Cannot remove the turntable top clean. Can’t even read the numbers on turn indicator to find the proper speed. Wishing for my old mixer, but I know it will never come back.

Good For Everyday UseI’m satisfied, if not thrilled with this mixer. For many years I had a Cuisinart stand mixer that was a dream come true. It finally died so I bought a new Cuisinart with the single blade. The blade was so high in the bowl that it wouldn’t even blend eggs! Also the mixer was built into the stand and couldn’t be removed and even without the splash guard there was no way to add ingredients or scrape the sides while in use. It was a bad joke that didn’t function for me at all. I returned it and decided to buy this Sunbeam that is much more like my old mixer and am happy enough with it. I wish it had come with a whisk. Old attachments don’t fit so I might buy one direct from Sunbeam. Also this doesn’t seem to be powerful enough to blend dough so I may end up buying a more powerful handheld unit for bread and masa. This mixer is A-OK though for cakes, cookies and all my other uses.

Not a bad choice for its price rangeWhat I like……Power is adequate, size is good, bowl has tabs to hold it in place when in use. What I don’t like…….Too much plastic! Plastic breaks! For the price, it IS a decent mixer. If this is within your price range, I would recommend it.

NOT GOOD FOR MAKING DOUGH!!!!!!let me start by saying i received it an it worked ok but the light didnt work? so i replaced it from amazon.the new one arrived an all seemed well till i went to make dough! i made a 2 1/2 cup flour dough ball with the first one an it worked fine. so i made a 5 cup flour batch an this is where it gets good.first off you have to use some thing to feed the flour into the dough hooks (if you want to call them tht) just to get it started. the bowl attaches to a base tht spins free, problem is at times you need to lock it so it DONT spin an theirs no lock!! but wait it gets better! heres the best part!the dough hooks are essentially 2 cork screws an as physics has it a screw design will either raise something or lower it, right?!? well when it finally forms a dough ball guess what happens?!?ok i will help you out, it pulls the dough ball up into the machine! yup thts right in fact it pulled it up so strong tht it went into where the dough hooks insert an poped out the dough hooks!! yup poped right out an it got into the holes where the hooks go into. also i tried all the speeds an the faster speed seemed to work better but because the dough is trying to climb ontop of the mixer the higher speed flings dough everywhere! so now i have dough all over the bottom of the machine an my kitchen! extremely messy! dough an flour everywhere!you also have to stand by the mixer or either nothing will happen (cuz you have to feed the flour into the hooks to start the ball) or tht dough ball will climb right out of the mixer an wrap its self around it!all in all 2 1/2 cups flour an you should be fine. any more then that an your asking for trouble!2 stars for the 2 machines i had to return im not going for the strike 3 on this one!if you plan to mix 5 cups of flour or larger you have to buy a kitchen aid! problem is their are only 2 models that use METAL GEARS an their running about $450+!! or you can just do it by hand. the mixers are way cleaner an almost no clean up witch is why i have to go with a mixer.if you decide to buy this mixer remember no more then 2 1/2 cups of flour an a time!! you been warned

Very disappointed, this is my 3rd sunbeam MixMasterIt’s not as nice as my last two mixers. My old ones was discontinued. This has a plastic base. My other ones were metal. I was afraid it would be top heavy, but it’s not. I haven’t used it yet, I hope it mixes as well as my others did. My main complaint is the numbers on the speed control dial are gray instead of white as shown in pictures of the mixer. They are really hard to see. It isn’t as heavy as my other mixers, that’s nice. I really hope this works as well as my other mixers did.

The bowl is really wide and takes forever to be a whites.I like the weight of it. Super lightweight. The beaters did not do a good job of mashing the potatoes there was big chunks no matter how long I beat them. Not impressed with the beaters or the bowl. It’s OK for mixing cookies brownies or cakes. I don’t think I would buy this again.

its fun to use.worked great I am a bit concerned about the little fingers they use to connect the bowl to the mixer breaking off but they seem to do what they are supposed to. the mixing bowl is easy to clean and plenty large. it handles well i just was used to the way the one from the 1950s was made. This newer one has a lock on the tilt so the mixers do not bounce up so you need to make sure sticks of butter and such are sofened well or they can jam it up. the old models would just lift up but that could be a safey problem so I think the lock button is a good idea.I was a bit worried being made of plastic would be bad after my last one was all metal but I like it as it weighs a little less and is easier to pick up and put away.

Works wellThe mixer I think is fine. The top casing is not aluminum so that may bother some folks.I am an occasional baker so I think this is fine for me.Everything else was good.Easy to clean.Worked well with the both attachments.Liked the big bowl.
