using daily more than 2 yearsEverything about this toaster oven has been great. As my only oven use at least once every day. Bake casseroles, cakes, wide variety frozen items including occasional pizza, roast veggies, reheat leftovers… have toaster so haven’t used for toasting bread or bagels. While in use oven is so quiet one has no idea it’s cooking. When timer up the ding is soft but just loud enough to hear from other room. Not annoying; perfect.

Controls are trickyI looked a lot on line before buying this after being told at a major store they only carry toaster type ovens during the Christmas holidays. So it was online or nothing as I couldn’t find but an extremely limited and expensive selection anywhere. I like the look and size of this oven. It cooks well and does have room for two levels of cooking. My regular aluminum pans fit on the rack. I put an oven safe liner underneath and inside the oven to catch drips. No mishap’s and it fits on my counter. My major issue is setting the controls with three knobs that are difficult to set easily. The preset functions seem to be a default that are hard to work around. Otherwise it is a good oven. I hope it lasts as long as my previous one sine that manufacturer seemed to have gone out of business.

Love It – 2 Years & Still Loving It!I love this toaster oven! After more than 5 years of searching for a good quality toaster oven both in stores and online, and being continually disappointed by how tinny and cheaply made most of them seemed to be even at 3 times the cost of this Toshiba, I’d spotted this one on Amazon and decided in desperation to take a chance on it due to the many good reviews it already had. I’ve not regretted that impulse for as much as a moment, and have thoroughly enjoyed using this toaster oven.It looks great on my counter, is more sturdy than any toaster ovens I had looked at in stores for MANY years, and works great! Since I already had both a built-in Wolf convection wall oven and a built-in Wolf convection microwave oven, I hadn’t cared whether the toaster oven had a convection feature or not, but am now glad it did, because I use that feature a great deal more often than I’d ever thought I would. As with most toaster ovens, the exterior of this one does get hot, but not frightenly so. I’d purchased a black silicone 9×12″ mat from Amazon to place on the top of it to diffuse some of the heat from rising to the cabinets above, but mainly so I could place a couple of extra toaster oven pans on it when the oven was in use–when not in use, I store the clean nested pans in the toaster oven. (Amazon has some great options available for extra stainless steel toaster oven pans, and a 12x10x1″ is a bit larger than the standard pans for this size toaster oven, but fits it perfectly.) I’d read one review by someone who’d returned their oven because the display sometimes fogged a little with steam when the convection feature was used. It does do that slightly, but the display remains clear enough to see even when it does, it also clears up again as soon as the oven cools, and has not negatively affected the operation of the oven whatsoever in the 2 years that I’ve been using mine. I truly love this toaster oven! This Toshiba actually surpasses the former great toaster oven it had taken me years to find this replacement for, since the design of it, especially the sturdy base of it, is far superior to the old one I’d had for more than 20 years. That one had been a quality toaster oven also, and had still been working like a champ, but it’s one design flaw had been that one of the legs on it had broken, and I’d grown tired of crazy gluing it back on every few months or so, yet couldn’t find any new ones in stores that had been nearly as good as my old one–until finding this Toshiba! This Toshiba actually exceeded my expectations in every way, and I have been delighted with it since the very moment of taking it out of the box, because the quality and design of it had not only surpassed the much favored old toaster oven I’d liked so well, but also the design and quality of the many, many others I had looked at in all sorts of stores over the years, too. I’d expected I’d likely have to resign myself to settling for a toaster oven somewhat inferior to the one I had enjoyed using for many years, so opening the box to discover that this Toshiba was vastly superior to any others I had seen was a nearly transcendent experience. If you’ve suffered through trying to replace any good quality small kitchen appliance in the past decade or so, you’ll certainly understand what I mean. All too often one has to end up settling for appliances that are more cheaply made, cease to work after only a few months, or don’t work at all right out of the box! I’ll be keeping the Toshiba brand in mind when making any future purchases, because I could not have been more pleased with the purchase of this toaster oven!

It’s ok.Its compact and doesn’t take up a lot of space. It looks nice with my appliances. However, there is no 5’s l, like 375 degrees. You either have to go with 370 or 380. It also seems to be a bit hotter than the degree it states. I had an Oster and rarely if at all burnt anything. I’ve burnt quite a few things, even with lowering the temperature down on the same foods and quantities. It also has a digital display that turns off by it itself after you hit stop. If you’re a person who likes to know if it’s off or you’re an older customer it’s not ideal. It’s not bad enough to return but I wouldn’t buy it again.

Works greatI decided to get this instead of a microwave with the intention of eating fewer microwaveable meals. This oven is not as convenient as a microwave, but I prefer the taste of reheated things in an oven than in a microwave. It works great! It’s fairly easy to clean with a removable crum tray. The top does get very hot so be careful setting anything around it. Don’t set anything on top!

Heating food great, but designers probably slept during user experience/user interface class1. Pros: Heating food is fabulous, for a fair price. The heat temperature is correct, and the heat distribution is almost perfect. My family toasts breads for breakfast a lot, and I only see around 2 or 3 spots of the bread that are slightly more burned than the rest.It is very quiet during operating, which is a pleasant surprise… until it finishes and starts beeping, which I will talk in details in section 2.2.The oven really improves my family meals thanks to the convection function.2. Cons: there are a lot weird annoying flaws in the setting, they are not severe. I can tolerate these but how about you?2.1 The default setting: I had never seen electronic device that sets default setting that is so wrong as this thing, from a good brand. Do you normally heat food in 30 min? Do you mainly use convection oven to make 4 slices of bread? Well, this oven’s designers think so. The worst part is you have no option to change the default setting? My routine before using the oven is: switch from slice of bread to convection oven, adjust timer from 30min to 4min/8min/18min. Quite annoying when I have to do it every time because THE OVEN DOESN’T ALLOW THE USERS TO FULLY CONTROL IT.2.2 The beep. Again with capitalized statement above. The beep noise is insanely loud and high pitch, and not possible to turn it off. What if you come home late at night and want to use the oven? You either wake the whole family up or make sure to turn it off before the timer hits 0. And I don’t know what causes the beeping noise, sometimes sounds like water blocks a phone speaker while it is playing music.2.3 The order. In the digital screen from top to bottom: Function (Convection, slices of bread, pizza, etc) -> Timer -> Temperature. However, as for the knob order, it goes from Function -> Temperature -> Timer. It sounds like a minor thing but it is annoying.2.4 The timer display, which I don’t think a big issue but maybe it’s worth mentioning. It goes from this: 2:00 Hr -> 1:00 Hr (+5min each), 0:55 Min -> 0:30 Min (+5min), 0:29 Min – 0:10 (+1 min), and 9:00 Min – 1:00 Min (+5 seconds). Let me make it simpler to see. The timer display: 1:00 hour, 0:30 minutes, 9:00 minutes. I understand that before 10 minute mark, I can adjust the timer to seconds but I see some people have difficulties using it because the hour and minute keep switching.

Love it except…..Two things I don’t like about this oven. 1. The sound when you press buttons and when cooking is complete is way too loud. 2. The oven temperatures are only in increments of 10 (No 375 or 425), so you have to pick a 5 degree lower or higher temp. Other than that, all settings work great. It has lots of features and settings.

Not so easy to clean.I was reheating some pizza and some cheese and oil dripped onto the tray. I can not get the tray clean. Does anyone have a solution to clean the tray other than covering the tray with foil? Also you can not set the timer for heating pizza for less than 6 mins. So you better lower the temperature keep an eye on it. When toasting you must remove the tray to expose the bottom heating element to toast the bottom side of bread.I haven’t used it to heat or cook anything else yet. One good thing is the top and sides of the unit don’t get as hot as other toaster ovens I’ve had. But it still gets hot so don’t touch them. Hope I have better results going forward.
