Worked perfect! There is a discrepancy on the “fast and slow” switch, it changes the Heat setting, (not the speed).Once I found that out, all was well. I cooked a 6lb chicken in 2 1/2 hours on the “Slow” setting, cooler heat so I didn’t scorch the wings or legs. This was the first time using it and I’m sure I’ll come up with more dishes. I’ve never used a rotisserie before, It worked as advertised, once food is in the cooker, shut the door, turn it on and walk away! *NOTE* top of machine gets hot so keep out of reach with little children. Our first try turned out real well with some basic seasonings. *Also note*, “leave door closed” after it shuts off for a few minutes, the heating coils are still hot and may effect the glass. I read reviews where peoples glass broke, I’m a retired engineer and direct excessive heat can cause that. Other than that, enjoy it, It works Great!

Understand what you are buytingI bought this without reading the entire description but I will be using it again and again. I did some shwarma and it turned out great but clean up was a bit cumbersome. Also, I wish it had a temperature control instead of just one level. Like I said, I am keeping it and will use it regularly but wanted to point out the small things I would change,

Great shawarma machineWe made both chicken and beef/lamb shawarma is two separate occasions and it came out great. Only downside the machine is too small and good for 2-3 people as you would spend hours standing waiting for the meat to cook… this is not fir the quick and go type of meal. Nnot for a party of more than 4. Also you have to shut it off to stop the rotation every time you want to slice out some meet. Constant turning power on and off. But overall for the price and if you like shawarma this is a good starter machine…. We also made some kabobs skewers (both from ground meat and cubed beef and they came out good. It’s. All in how you marinate your meats.

It’s worth it but expect not to get it right the first couple of timesThis is one of our new favorite appliances. CoupleComments.Easy to clean- it’s not too badEasy to use- not really. The settings are only a timer and slow and fast ( no temperature ) and the instructions don’t give you any specifics really on how to cook it just how to use it – we massively undercooked our first chicken and first set of kebobs.I will tell you to make chicken kebobs w or without veggies and cook on slow for 40-50 min then follow it on fast for a higher heat for 10-15 min. The fast setting helps to give it that char we love.We have made one rotisserie chicken successfully- use cooking twine for the limbs and a temperature fork until done. Otherwise as it cooks the chicken will open the door for you. Do it on slow and when nearly done, if not already a little charred, use fast until it is.The flavor when you get it right is worth the first struggles. We love it. Marinated in shawarma is a fav. We have done Italian and greek too.It definitely gets hot so don’t have it under your cabinets or get ready to peel off your paint ( yes I know for sure ).Hope this helpsSomeone else.Enjoy!

We are very impressed! The media could not be loaded.
My husband started experimenting with making gyro meat, so I bought this rotisserie for him for Christmas. We have not made gyros yet, but we did roast a chicken! Omg, was it good!! Tender, moist, and unbelievable flavor!!Just for reference, it was about a 5 pound chicken, and we cooked in on the slow setting for an hour and 45 minutes. We also cooked pork tenderloins in it. Again, what great flavor!! And moist and tender in the middle!!The rotisserie worked like a dream and everything was easy to clean!Cannot speak on longevity, because we just got it.But, so far we LOVE it!!!Also just for reference, we did also buy the upgraded model with the temperature control knob, thinking it might be better, but we sent that one back!!It was ‘clunky’, smaller than the model we stuck with, (the one shown in video), the door didn’t fit properly, and if you wanted to use it as a rotisserie, you had to move things around, and then move them around again to use it as a toaster oven.We just wanted a rotisserie, and this one, we highly recommend!

This shawarma machine is the gateway drug to purchasing machetes. If you love shawarma, rotisserie chicken, or al pastor, this NutriChef Countertop Vertical Rotating Oven is a must buy!At first I was skeptical, but the results did not lie. There are two modes, fast and slow, and it refers to speed of cooking/heat applied, not the rotation speed. Initially we tried slow, and I was convinced it was broken as the heating element didn’t glow red hot, but upon changing it to “fast”, it did. Seriously, this thing cooks perfectly. It’s quite astonishing. It’s pretty easy to use too. I’m not a chef, cook, or even home cook by any stretch of the imagination, and I got the hang of it pretty quickly. The ease of use reminds me of that old late night infomercial, “just set it, and forget it”, although I can’t tell you what the product was in that advertisement… this machine’s timer goes up to an hour. It’s pretty foolproof. Put a landbird or some seasoned meat on it on it, and in an hour you’ll be sending food pr0n pics to your friends, despite swearing you’re not one of “those” people. Plus, now you have a great reason to buy that machete or jumbo specialty butcher knife for the kitchen. This shawarma machine is the gateway drug to purchasing machetes; you’ve been warned. Whatever the case is, it’s still better than having to put on a face mask (and shoes) just to go to the grocery store for a rotisserie chicken.

Great machine but needs improvementBeen using it a few times already, makes ok kabab ( Cuba food ), the 1st time cook too long so….. but after adjusting the cooking time it actually make really juicy lamb / beef kabab,Their’s 2 issues;1; is hard to try to take out those sticks after it’s hot, it burn my hand a couple of times already, so make sure you use those thick gloves to protect yourself,2; is really hard to try to clean the inner back of the tray, I try to wiped what ever the meet falling of or the juice, but have to be real careful not to burn my hand….would I buy this again; YES; BUT that depends…..I really wish they can make a video for dealing with the taking food out from the turning thing and cleaning issues.

Very good machineI really like the machine, it does have some flaws, but overall it does what I wanted it to do.I used it to make kabobs and tacos al pastor. The kabobs were meh, didn’t quite cook them the way that I wanted them to do, as only one side got crispy. The tacos al pastor on the other hand were awesome. I loaded 5 lbs of marinated meat, and in a little over an hour they were done. I did shave some of the meat around the 50 minute mark, otherwise it would have burned. After reading multiple reviews, and people complaining about the capacity I was skeptical. Such polarized opinions, but alas, it worked well for me.One minor complaint is the size of the drip tray, I had to use a turkey baster to remove the drippings so they wouldn’t overflow.Good machine, will make schwarma next (can’t remember how to spell it)
