The door does not have a resistant spring to keep itself from slamming on your counterThis is the second time I have ordered this model. The older one gave us three years until it died. When I tried to reorder it, the item was out-of-stock and I spent the pandemic with another brand model that never broiled right, and just died on us unexpectedly. When I saw this back in stock, I reordered it.WHY I LIKE IT:The broiler, toaster, baking, and convection cooking are reliable. You can adjust the height of the wire shelf.Stainless exterior is easy to wipe down with soft sponge.Crumb tray is removable and easy to clean.Handle is big enough to open with or without a mitt.WHAT I DON’T LIKE–No clock.–Buttons do not illuminate. If you operate this in a dark corner it can be hard to read the panel text and buttons.–No interior light.–Exterior gets very hot [don’t put plastic items on the top for temporary storage, or you’ll be sorry you melted stuff].–Door opens without any resistance from a spring hinge.–If you have a shallow depth counter, the glass door will slam onto it. If you have generously deep counters you will be able to push the toaster further back along a wall so that the handle, not the door glass, will strike the counter.

I like itOur previous convection toaster oven served us well over the years with 4 teenage boys and frozen pizzas. It finally gave out and they no longer made it anymore. Settled on this one for looks, price, convection, etc. After having used it for several weeks, I think I can give a fair review. I like it, it gets good and hot. For S&G, I timed how long it took to get to 350 degrees, exactly 4 mins. I mention this because I got very used to setting the timer to the shortest recommended time and put the food in as it was heating up. I guess this one takes a little longer to warm up because I noticed I didn’t need the full amount of set time to cook. So now I still set it to the lowest time, I just start preheating first, before setting up whatever I was going to put in. Convection fan only works on the Bake mode. Just hit Bake, Convection fan, set the temp, then the timer and hit start. It’s not an air fryer, But it bakes, re heats dinners and gives it a nice little browning if you like that.Biggest con is the door. You have to hold it all the way down, nothing stops it from hitting the counter hard if you let it go. The lettering is hard to see and read, especially at my age. Now, I’ve just got used to where my favorite buttons are.Toasting: I don’t toast regular bread in it, but I’ve done some bagels and home baked bread that can be too thick for a toaster. I’ve noticed that it is uneven. Seems like the rear/upper is the hottest and browns quicker. Lastly, it has a little rounded, recessed area in the back and it seems like it could hold up to a 12″ pizza. I put in a 11″ plate and there was still a little gap to the door. It fits a 9×13 casserole dish WITHOUT handles. So, in all, it works well for us as empty nesters. Big enough to heat up food, bake some potatoes without having to use the big oven. Oh, and the rack can be moved into 4 different levels, two slots that it can slide into and you can put it upside down.

Bulky but beautifulThis toaster oven is bigger than my last, which I didn’t like at first because I don’t have wide counters .. but I don’t even notice that now because I love it so much! It’s a beautiful piece, works wonderfully. Have used for toasting and baking and love it.One CAUTION …. when in use, top and sides get VERY HOT.I bought a bamboo cutting board with silicone ‘feet’ to put on top so I can still store my cups there without fear of cracking due to heat, and I keep everything away from the sides when in use.

Lots of value, work horse for the money investment.I have happily purchased three of these before. The Black + Deckers are dependable, and this one doesn’t use a lot of electricity. It leaves me plenty of room on my counter for food preparation. I have baked chicken, cupcakes, cookies, pizza, and roasted vegetables. It has a low-sound timer bell, a fan, and an adjustable toast and bagel temp. It is quiet, even with the fan on. The bottom tray pulls out for easy cleaning, as well as the rack and roastng tray. Doesn’t heat up a mid-sized kitchen, but the outside does get very hot at 380-450 degrees, to say the least. Some of a few Cons. I think it heats up fairly quickly, but the coils are not protected, so oil gets baked on and can cause some major smoke, the reason for my getting rid of the other one. So keep your greasy items covered with aluminum foil. It is hard to read the Led Temperature Panel in the evenings, or a dark lit kitchen. I have to use my flashlight. No backlight on it like it says, just a blue light above it that which is of no help. It also has a hot spot in the back, so turning your food is necessary. So, in retrospect, I enjoy the baking, after some minor adjusting. Great for small items. It’s a tough little machine, giving me three to four years if not for the oil on the burners. I have baked cornish hens, but not a whole roaster. Probably could be done as there is room for a small one. I would buy this again, and recommend this as a second oven.

Works great and lasts foreverI’ve bought 2 of these in my lifetime. The first one lasted 5 years and was still going strong when I stupidly knocked it off the counter and broke it. I’ve now had this 2nd one for 3 years, and it works great. As others have mentioned, the LED display doesn’t light up so in the dark you need light to see it, and the coils are exposed so stuff dripping on them will give you a smelly, smoky kitchen. However, it’s spacious, it heats up quickly, the convection feature works great, and it gets the job done. I hardly ever use my main oven unless I’m cooking a huge meal. For the price, this thing can’t be beat.

Great beyond belief!I bought this the same model 8 years ago and it just finally gave up because I used it every week. The convection button makes this into a great Appliance when only two meals are needed. This one will probably out last me!

A Very Good Toaster OvenThe overall design is good. Do not like the pan that comes with it. The toaster oven does well with warming leftover pizza without drying out the slices .

Would buy this oven again as it has all the features I wantedI had a specific list of features that I wanted in my oven and this model had them all. I also took a chance and purchased mine from the used category, but it was pretty much like new, and didn’t appear to be used at all. There were a couple of very slight dents on the top, but they were relatively unnoticeable unless you were looking for them at an angle. You can’t beat the price as it was 50% off the regular retail. It came with a tray and roasting drip pan, which was a plus since I won’t have to purchase them separately. It can be difficult to gauge the size of an item from looking at a picture even when they provide you the measurements. This is quite a large toaster convection oven, and is very roomy inside. Yet, it’s not very heavy so I can easily move it around. The front door drops down completely. It does not have one of those hinges that automatically close (retract). Personally, I love the digital readouts because they are easier for me to see and this one is larger than some of the others. I can’t comment on temperature accuracy at this time, but I ordered an oven thermometer so I can check the temperature to make sure it’s accurate. I didn’t buy this oven for cooking food although I may just buy another for the kitchen. I plan to use it for polymer clay crafts, and temperature accuracy is a must have. Nonetheless, it has to be better than my gas oven as I’m always fiddling with the dial to try at get it at the right temperature. I love having the timer and auto-shut-off feature because I get busy and forget. The one thing I didn’t like was a very short power cord. I’m not sure why they would do this, but the product manual stated that they made it shorter to prevent the cord from getting entangled or tripping over a longer cord. Not sure how someone could trip over it if it’s up ion a counter. If you are thinking about buying this oven you need to consider whether they have a space on the counter near an electrical outlet or use a heavy duty grounded extension. As mentioned by others the exterior does get very hot, but I had the same issue with my Delonghi Toaster Convection Oven so I’m used to protecting my hands, and keeping other items way from the oven when in use. I keep my oven mitts next to the oven to remind me to use them whenever I use the oven. The stainless steel exterior is quite nice looking, and has stylish curves. I think that the top of the oven will be subject to dents as the metal seem a little thin on top. I wouldn’t be putting things on top, which you shouldn’t anyway because of the heat issues. The crumb tray slides in underneath the door so you don’t have to open the oven to clean the tray. I haven’t quite decided whether this is good idea or not. The one thing that comes to mind if something is too large to fit through the crumb tray opening it could fall off on the oven floor. However I like having a removable crumb tray to keep the oven clean. There are four glass tube heating elements in this oven, and they are quite large compared to my Delonghi, which was four metal tubes not much thicker that my chopsticks in diameter. Price wise it made more sense to buy a toaster convection oven because it does so much more. The size of this oven allows you to cook just about anything. I can cook a casserole, roast a chicken, and bake as well. My daughter already baked her brownies, and they came out perfect. Overall, I love this oven, and would buy it again.

I’m happy with the purchaseThis is a nice toaster oven. I really only use it to reheat pizza or make toast, so I haven’t used all of it’s features. The only thing I would change would be to backlight the buttons. The oven is on my counter under cabinets and the buttons are hard to read unless light is shining right on them.
