I was nervous about purchasing this product because a lot of reviews said it’s really loud and I’m glad I ignored the reviews this time. I was expecting it to sound like a construction zone when I turned it on. No one including myself could hear the motor on this fondue fountain. It’s a humming sound and its not a disturbance in the slightest. I didn’t even have music at my party and we couldn’t hear it. I live in a small apartment and the fondue fountain was right beside us.
You have to add oil or dairy to make the chocolate less dense so it flows smoothly. Also make sure you melt enough chocolate so it’s a nice waterfall flow and not trickles.

We use this fountain for our small catering business! Let me tell you it is a hit every single time! It is a little noisy but there’s always music at our events so it’s not a big deal! Easy to clean and put away! We use it for our house made chamoy works amazing!!!

We’ve used it once and the machine works well enough, it’s just that it is quite noisy. It’s difficult to sit around and converse while it’s running. It was a hit with kids and adults and although it was quite messy, that is almost to be expected. The machine, itself, did not fling chocolate everywhere; the chocolate-oil mixture was a tad runny so it dripped off the fruit, all over the table between the fountain and our plates. I’m going to try using a touch less oil next time.
It’s a really neat touch for events and I plan to use it at our next party.

We got this for our daughter’s birthday party. The kids loved it! The only thing that you need to be aware of is that you need a ton of chocolate. I got 2 of the largest bags at Walmart of the chocolate chips and it still wasn’t enough.

See my video review for more details and see it run. Like many of you, I found reviews on both sides of the fence. I was really a little nervous getting this because our party was the day after it arrived and “what if it is does not work”. Well, this things works great. We did NOT use expensive chocolate. My wife used the regular chocolate chips (24oz) and 3/4 cup of oil. Heated it in the microwave first, then stirred it up and poured it in the fountain base.
This is NOT a high dollar piece of equipment. The base is not a solid stainless steel base, but rather a very thin sheeting of some type wrapped around the plastic base. But come on, this thing was only $50. For the money it worked perfectly and it will likely provide good food entertainment at many other gatherings to come. I did not find clean up to be a big deal. Some folks made it seem like near impossible. I simply rinsed the pieces with hot water to get the bulk of the chocolate off and then washed them by hand. The pieces all fit together quickly and nicely as you see in the video.
I just can’t see how anyone could give this a 1 star. If you get a lemon (and they certainly exist), then get a replacement. Someone mentioned that this product was a little loud. You can certainly hear it run (see video) but it just becomes part of the room noise when you get people in the room. When there are just two people standing there watching it run, you think, “wow, that is a little loud” but in any function where this would be used there will likely be quite a few people and they will be talking. They won’t even notice the noise.
If you are in doubt, let me help you. Get one, you will be pleased. At least I was!

We have used it once so far and it came out great. My only complaint is that there were no assembly instructions so I ended up putting it together wrong and had to change it when there was already chocolate in it.

Used this awesome chocolate fountain at the dessert table for my my son’s wedding. What a hit with the fruit platter! It was semi easy to set up. I read reviews to clean it right away and totally didn’t do that. It took me about twenty minutes to clean off the hardened chocolate by using soap and hot water. I thought it was going to be so much harder, so I was delightfully surprised. I didn’t think it was loud at all, but then again we were outside. The flow of the chocolate was really pretty. I used the microwaveable Wilton’s fountain chocolate and it was super simple and so delicious. The distance of the fountain bowls made it easy to choose all different kinds of sizes of fruit to add the chocolate to. The kids weee so pumped over it and the adults turned into kids using it. So super happy with this fountain! I’m buying another one, so we can have two going at future events!

The machine looks and feels good. I don’t know if it got damaged during shipping but the tray didn’t keep the chocolate warm enough to continue the flow and all the chocolate hardened after 30 min. The switches worked and light turned on, but it just didn’t keep the tray warm. So I can’t say if it’s a bad product or if I received a defective one.

I used this as an accessory to the chocolate river in a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory area of my Halloween party. Assembly was fairly easy and clean up was pretty ok considering. Noise level was a bit loud but we couldn’t really hear it when the party was going on. I thought I had melted the chocolate well and added enough Crisco to thin it out but as you can tell the chocolate was still a bit thick. There were areas where the chocolate wasn’t flowing well on so it would cool off and thicken up until some warm chocolate would hit it. I used around 2 lbs of chocomelts made for chocolate fountains and then added 2 more pounds of chocolate chips. Again, I did melt them down first and added Crisco to thin it but didn’t get it warm or thin enough to flow really nice. Still did fine enough that the guests had fun with it and in the end, that’s all that matters. Will use it again in the future with the knowledge I’ve gained. I highly recommend testing it the day before your event so you can work out the kinks.
