It barley works and high maintenance!! It over heats and make a loud sound, and wastes too much chocolate.
Or maybe mine had a defect!

Just out of the blue, my soon-to-be 5 year old granddaughter planned her own birthday party and said she wanted a chocolate fountain with strawberries. I saw this on Amazon for a great price and gave it a try. She loved it! It was very easy to use and I’m sure we are going to have many more parties with chocolate lava. Note: this is a table top version, not the giant machines you see at a wedding, but perfect size for a birthday party.

I thought this would be better with all the reviews. The warming plate never seemed to get hot enough to keep the chocolate flowing. The chocolate kept getting stuck on the bottom of the fountain since the plate wasn’t hot enough

Bought this for a bday party. Have now used it 3 times. This is definitely not a high-end style fountain that you see at catered parties. There is no pump. Instead it used a corkscrew type feature that turns and “draws” the chocolate up to the upper tiers. It actually works really well – especially for the price you pay. Like other reviewers have said, the secret to success is in the chocolate. Buy a good fondue chocolate. Don’t go cheap. And then make sure to pre-melt the chocolate. Yes this fondue has a heated base, but it’s more for keeping the chocolate melted, not really for melting large quantities. We’ve loved this so far and will use it lots more!!!

I ordered this for our grandmothers birthday party. I was a hit with everyone. If you follow the instructions and get the correct chocolate it’s pretty much a a fun and entertaining item. It’s not too small or too large. We had strawberries, marshmallows and pretzel rods. It’s not loud either and that’s one of the reasons I purchased this one. Can’t wait to use it again!!

I read many reviews for other fondue fountains before purchasing this model. Other reviews mentioned other models were very noisy and hard to clean. This one practically makes no noise. The hardest part to clean is the plastic nuts that hold the base on. The chocolate gets in a tiny crevice and it’s hard to get it completely off. The warming plate is warm to the touch and kept the chocolate flowing. It was on for about 30 minutes. We used 24 oz of chocolate chips melted in the microwave and a little less than 2/3 cups oil. I stirred the chocolate every 30 seconds for 2 minutes. The warming plate was not full all the way. We think maybe if we had used the suggested 1 cup of oil it might have been. Then the finished result may of looked like the box. To clean it I unplugged it and let it cool. I dipped extra strawberries and saved them for later. I took the tower apart one piece at a time. The base stayed on until I emptied the chocolate. While it was still warm I laid the base sideways on the counter so the warming plate would be over the sink. I used a paper towel to push the chocolate in the sink. After mostly emptied I used another paper towel to remove what remained. I applied a drop of soap to a wet paper towel then wiped it down. The base needed a quick wipe down also. The table had some splatters but was easy to clean.
Shipping: speedy but needs better packaging. It arrived in a shipping bag that looked like it had been ran over. The bag had 2 holes in it & the box matched. Each side of the box had damage. Worse condition of anything I’ve order from Amazon. Luckily the contents were spared.
Pros: Quite. Entertaining for the family. Easy to put together. Can use any chocolate you want. Warming plate keeps the flow going.
Cons: Not the fountain flow we were expecting. We’ll try again to see if we get different results. Can’t get the chocolate around the bolts. Finally had to use a tooth pick. The box arrived in terrible condition.

It was a little harder to clean but it’s cool

It was a waste of time and money. The chocolate does flow through the fountain at all.
